Antibody-drug conjugates(ADCs)are a new type of targeting antibodies that conjugate with highly toxic anticancer drugs via chemical linkers to exert high specificity and efficient killing of tumor cells,thereby attracting considerable attention in precise oncology ***(Cet)is a typical antibody that offers the benefits of good targeting and safety for individuals with advanced and inoperable cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(cSCC);however,its anti-tumor activity is limited to a single ***(CisPt)shows good curative effects;however,its adverse effects and non-tumor-targeting ability are major *** this study,we designed and developed a new ADC based on a new cytotoxic platinum(IV)prodrug(C8Pt(IV))and *** so-called antibody-platinum(IV)prodrugs conjugates,named Cet-C8Pt(IV),showed excellent tumor targeting in ***,it accurately delivered C8Pt(IV)into tumor cells to exert the combined anti-tumor effect of Cet and ***,metabolomic analysis showed that Cet-C8Pt(IV)promoted cellular apoptosis and increased DNA damage in cSCC cells by affecting the vitamin B6 metabolic pathway in tumor cells,thereby further enhancing the tumor-killing ability and providing a new strategy for clinical cancer treatment using antibody-platinum(IV)prodrugs conjugates.

Background: Rhinoplasty is a complex surgical procedure that requires critical analysis and precise design before surgery, making it a challenging operation for both the surgical team and medical educators. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of 3D design involvement on learning curves and to establish a more effective method for rhinoplasty ***: Surgeons who participated in an educational program were divided into two groups. The experimental group was involved in the 3D design before the operation, and the control group was asked to review the rhinoplasty atlas. A self-assessment questionnaire was used to evaluate the learning curve of the eight rhinoplasty procedures for each surgeon, and the overall satisfaction rate data were also ***: The self-assessment scores in both groups showed an increasing trend from the first to the eighth operation. The mean scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group at the fifth operation(P=0.01). The satisfaction rate of the experimental group(91.7%) was higher than that of the control group(54.5%).Conclusion: The 3D imaging system can improve the learning curve and satisfaction rate of rhinoplasty education,proving that it is an easy and effective tool for medical education.

Background: Early excision and grafting has been the preferred method of managing major burns around the world since 1970. Considering the advances in health care and the development of new antibiotics over the past 50 years, delayed grafting as a technique for the management of burns over 15%-20% of total body surface area (TBSA) could have comparable results to that of early excision. This study aims to highlight the outcomes of practicing delayed grafting in burn patients. Methods: A case series analysis was performed of 51 patients who were admitted to the burns unit in Sultan Qaboos Hospital Salalah with over 20% TBSA between January 2014 and December 2019. The patients received prophylactic antibiotics and silver sulphadiazine dressing until the burn eschar had completely separated, followed by grafting. Results: Two patients were lost during the entire duration of the study. The mortality rate was comparable to that of early excision, while the rate of hypertrophic scarring was lower than the range reported by other studies. Conclusion: In the management of patients with over 20% TBSA, delayed grafting after complete separation of eschar is still a valid technique.

As a high-risk trauma,deep burns are always hindered in their repair process by decreased tissue regeneration capacity and persistent *** this study,we developed a simultaneous strategy for deep burn wounds treatment using functional nanovesicles with antibacterial and tissue remodeling properties,delivered via a click-chemistry *** aggregation-induced emission photosensitizer of 4-(2-(5-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)thiophen-2-yl)vinyl)-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridin-1-ium bromide(THB)with excellent photodynamic properties was first prepared,and then combined with readily accessible adipose stem cells-derived nanovesicles to generate the THB functionalized nanovesicles(THB@ANVs).The THB@ANVs showed strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria(up to 100%killing rate),and also beneficial effects on tissue remodeling,including promoting cell migration,cell proliferation,and regulating *** addition,we prepared a click-hydrogel of carboxymethyl chitosan for effective delivery of THB@ANVs on *** hydrogel could be injected to conform to the wound morphology while responding to the acidic *** vivo evaluations of wound healing revealed that the THB@ANVs hydrogel dressing efficiently accelerated the healing of second-degree burn wounds by reducing bacterial growth,regulating inflammation,promoting early angiogenesis,and collagen *** study provides a promising candidate of wound dressing with diverse functions for deep burn wound repair.

Role of targeted neuromodulation in the treatment of congenital unilateral lower lip palsy: A clinical case report

Congenital unilateral lower lip palsy(CULLP), or congenital hypoplasia of the depressor anguli oris muscle, also known as asymmetric crying facies, is a rare condition that results in asymmetry of the lower lip during smiling,laughing, and crying. Although the etiology is unknown, weakness of the depressor labii inferioris(DLI) muscle is implicated as a contributing factor. Currently, no well-established treatment options are available. This case report describes an 18-year-old male patient diagnosed with CULLP. Physical examination revealed a symmetric face at rest, but asymmetry when smiling and opening the mouth. Following the administration of lidocaine into the affected DLI muscle, the patient's smile and lower lip symmetry were immediately restored without any adverse effects. Subsequently, administration of botulinum toxin for neuromodulation of the DLI muscle led to a significant improvement in symmetry and oral function within 2 weeks, which was sustained at 1 month and 3months post-treatment. No adverse effects were reported, and both patients and families expressed high satisfaction with the outcomes. This case highlights the potential use of neuromodulation as a minimally invasive and effective treatment for CULLP.
