Prediction of soil organic carbon stock combining Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 images in the Zoige Plateau, the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Background Soil organic carbon（SOC） is a critical component of the global carbon cycle, and an accurate estimate of regional SOC stock（SOCS） would significantly improve our understanding of SOC sequestration and cycles. Zoige Plateau, locating in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, has the largest alpine marsh wetland worldwide and exhibits a high sensitivity to climate fluctuations. Despite an increasing use of optical remote sensing in predicting regional SOCS, optical remote sensing has obvious limitations in the Zoige Plateau due to highly cloudy weather, and knowledge of on the spatial patterns of SOCS is limited. Therefore, in the current study, the spatial distributions of SOCS within 100 cm were predicted using an XGBoost model—a machine learning approach, by integrating Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and field observations in the Zoige *** The results showed that SOC content exhibited vertical distribution patterns within 100 cm, with the highest SOC content in topsoil. The tenfold cross-validation approach showed that XGBoost model satisfactorily predicted the spatial patterns of SOCS with a model efficiency of 0.59 and a root mean standard error of 95.2 Mg ha-1. Predicted SOCS showed a distinct spatial heterogeneity in the Zoige Plateau, with an average of 355.7 ± 123.1 Mg ha-1within 100 cm and totaled 0.27 × 10～9 Mg *** High SOC content in topsoil highlights the high risks of significant carbon loss from topsoil due to human activities in the Zoige Plateau. Combining Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satisfactorily predicted SOCS using the XGBoost model, which demonstrates the importance of selecting modeling approaches and satellite images to improve efficiency in predicting SOCS distribution at a fine spatial resolution of 10 m. Long radial coherence of electron temperature fluctuations in non-local transport in HL-2A plasmas

This article focuses on the experimental and numerical study of an industrial prototype furnace intended for the production of ceramics in order to improve the energy efficiency and therefore optimize the fuel consumption and the corresponding carbon dioxide *** order to understand the thermal behavior from which stems the energy efficiency of the experimental prototype,we establish in this work,a simplified modeling allowing to establish a mathematical model describing the thermal behavior of the *** model is able to accurately predict the spatial and temporal distribution of the temperature at each point of the furnace to control the firing of the refractory product so that the final product is of good quality in terms of resistance and *** addition,the power consumed by the prototype must be optimized in order to reduce energy and environmental *** particular,this efficient technology has allowed us to save 83% of energy used in the traditional furnace and to reduce 87.36% of the relative carbon dioxide *** simulation of the mathematical model made it possible to compare the numerical results with the experimental measurements obtained by the prototype as well as to validate the model and to adjust the heat transfer parameters.

Ultra-peripheral heavy-ion collisions(UPCs)offer unique opportunities to study processes under strong electromagnetic *** these collisions,highly charged fast-moving ions carry strong electromagnetic fields that can be effectively treated as photon *** exchange of photons can induce photonuclear and two-photon interactions and excite *** excitation of the ions results in Coulomb dissociation with the emission of photons,neutrons,and other ***,the electromagnetic fields generated by the ions can be sufficiently strong to enforce mutual interactions between the two colliding ***,the two colliding ions experience an electromagnetic force that pushes them in opposite directions,causing a back-to-back correlation in the emitted *** a Monte Carlo simulation,we qualitatively demonstrate that the above electromagnetic effect is large enough to be observed in UPCs,which would provide a clear means to study strong electromagnetic fields and their effects.

In recent years,molybdenum disulfide（MoS2） has gained significant attention in the scientific *** MoS2demonstrates unique properties and potential ***,the synthesis of few-layered and high-purity 1T-MoS2is still a *** this study,we successfully employed a hydrothermal method to synthesize few-layered and high-purity *** purity of the material is controlled by a combination of sodium borohydride and ***,the few-layered 1T-MoS2exhibits exceptional performance as a supercapacitor,including the high specific capacitance(250.3 F g-1at a current density of 1 A g-1) and excellent long-trem cycling stability（90.7 % after 5000 cycles）.Meanwhile,the asymmetric device assembled by 6-FL-1TMoS2and active carbon on carbon cloths exhibits excellent flexibility and high energy and power density(23.1μWh cm-2at 600 μW cm-2,55 μWh cm-2at 12000 μW cm-2).This work provides valuable insights into the synthesis of few-layered and high-purity 1T-MoS2,opening up new avenues for further research and applications.

We perform the first lattice QCD study on the radiative decay of the scalar glueball to the vector mesonφin the quenched *** calculations are carried out on three gauge ensembles with different lattice spacings,which enable us to do the continuum *** first revisit the radiative J/ψdecay into the scalar glueball G and obtain the partial decay widthΓ(J/ψ→γG)=0.578(86)keV and the branching fraction Br(J/ψ→γG)=6.2(9)×10^(-3),which are in agreement with the previous lattice *** then extend the similar calculation to the process G→γφand get the partial decay widthΓ(G→γφ)=0.074(47)keV,which implies that the combined branching fraction of J/ψ→γG→γγφis as small as O(10^(-9))such that this process is hardly detected by the BESⅢexperiment even with the large J/ψsample of O(10^(10)).With the vector meson dominance model,the two-photon decay width of the scalar glueball is estimated to beΓ(G→γγ)=0.53(46)e V,which results in a large stickiness S(G)~O(10^(4))of the scalar glueball by assuming the stickiness of f_(2)(1270)to be one.

The elastic scattering angular distributions of ^(13)C at 340 MeV and ^(14)C at 294 MeV and 342 MeV on a ^(208)Pb target,which correspond to approximately five times the Coulomb barriers,were measured at the Radioactive Ion Beam Line in *** data were analyzed within the optical model and continuum-discretized coupled-channels(CDCC)framework,and the results of both calculations could effectively account for the experimental *** differential cross sections of elastic scattering revealed no particular suppression at the Coulomb nuclear interference peak angles,suggesting that the breakup coupling effects on the elastic scattering angular distributions were negligibly small in this incident energy *** contributions from the couplings with inelastic states to the elastic cross sections were of minor importance within the angular range covered by these experiments.
