This editorial delves into the research article by Zeng et al published in the latest issue of World Journal of *** manuscript contributes significantly to addressing the global health issue of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)by introducing and validating the Exercise and Diet Adherence Scale(EDAS).The article effectively conveys the importance of the study,highlighting the prevalence of NAFLD,the lack of approved drugs for its treatment,and the crucial role of lifestyle *** use of the Delphi method for scale development and the subsequent evaluation of its reliability add scientific rigor to the *** results demonstrate that the scale is correlated with key lifestyle indicators,which makes it a promising tool for assessing patient adherence to *** identification of specific score thresholds for predicting adherence to daily calorie intake and exercise adds practical value to the *** differentiation among scores indicative of good,average,and poor adherence enhances its clinical *** conclusion,the manuscript introduces EDAS,a valuable instrument that can contribute substantially to the field of NAFLD research and clinical practice.

In current research work,Dy3+substituted mg0.5Cu0.25Co0.25Fe2-xDyxO4(0.0≤x≤0.04 with the step interval of 0.01)soft ferrites were synthesized by the sol-gel auto combustion *** prepared samples were characterized by the techniques using X-ray diffraction(XrD),scanning electron microscopy(SEm),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),Fourier transform infrared(FTIr)spectroscopy,curre nt-voltage(Ⅰ-Ⅴ)measurement,LCr meter,vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm)and *** data reveal that the average crystallite size is 49.71 nm and the lattice constant is 0.83703 nm for sample x=*** non-uniform grain growth was demonstrated by micrographs and impurity-free elemental composition was observed from EDX *** DC resistivity has an increasing and decreasing trend in ferromagnetic and paramagnetic regions with an increase in ***,the high resistivity is observed with the order of 1010Ω·cm,and the activation energy is 0.944 eV for samples x=*** dielectric parameters including dielectric constant,dielectric losses,and impedance gradually decrease with the increase in frequency from 8 Hz to 8 *** minimum dielectric loss at high frequency is found for sample x=*** coercivity(Hc)and saturation magnetization(ms)are found in the ranges of 520.82-544.02 Oe and 20.5841-21.1473 emu/g,*** observations confirm that dysprosium(x=0.03)doped mCC-soft ferrites may be applicable in transformer cores,microwave absorbance,and telecommunication devices.

Purpose: Needle-stick injury (NSI) is one of the most potential occupational hazards for healthcare workers because of the transmission of blood-borne pathogens. As per recent data, around 30 lakh healthcare workers sustain Needle stick injuries each year. This study was conducted to assess healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitude and practices regarding needle stick injury. materials & methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in a Tertiary Care Hospital over the period of 3 months. The study population consisted of Intern Doctors, Post Graduate resident Doctors, Staff Nurses, laboratory technicians of government medical college and New Civil Hospital, Surat (n = 300). The data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire via the means of Google Forms. Questionnaire was made with prior review literature. The data obtained were entered and analysed in microsoft Excel. results: The prevalence of NSI in our study was 46%, with a higher prevalence among the PG residents (72%). Overall scores regarding knowledge and attitude were better in PG residents (knowledge score > 7 in 71% and Attitude Score > 7 in 68% of PG residents). Even though the PG residents scored highest in the knowledge category, the majority of them suffered needle stick injuries as a result of poor practice scores. Among those who had NSI (n = 139/300), 70% of study participants had superficial injuries, only 9% reported the incident, 18% got medical attention within 2 hours of the incident, and 7% followed up to recheck their viral markers status. most incidents of NSI were due to hypodermic needles while recapping needles. Conclusion: Exposure to needle stick injuries and their underreporting remains a common problem. It is imperative that healthcare workers receive regular training on the proper handling of sharp objects. We can also draw the conclusion that preventing NSIs requires putting knowledge into practice.

Introduction: Omicron is a highly divergent variant of concern (VOCs) of a severe acute respiratory syndrome SArS-CoV-2. It carries a high number of mutations in its spike protein hence;it is more transmissible in the community by immune evasion mechanisms. Due to mutation within S gene, most Omicron variants have reported S gene target failure (SGTF) with some commercially available PCr kits. Such diagnostic features can be used as markers to screen Omicron. However, Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) is the only gold standard approach to confirm novel microorganisms at genetically level as similar mutations can also be found in other variants that are circulating at low frequencies worldwide. This retrospective study is aimed to assess rT-PCr sensitivity in the detection of S gene target failure in comparison with whole genome sequencing to detect variants of Omicron. methods: We have analysed retrospective data of SArS-CoV-2 positive rT-PCr samples for S gene target failure (SGTF) with TaqPath COVID-19 rT-PCr Combo Kit (ThermoFisher) and combined with sequencing technologies to study the emerged pattern of SArS-CoV-2 variants during third wave at the tertiary care centre, Surat. results: From the first day of December 2021 till the end of February 2022, a total of 321,803 diagnostic rT-PCr tests for SArS-CoV-2 were performed, of which 20,566 positive cases were reported at our tertiary care centre with an average cumulative positivity of 6.39% over a period of three months. In the month of December 21 samples characterized by the SGTF (70/129) were suggestive of being infected by the Omicron variant and identified as Omicron (B.1.1.529 lineage) when sequence. In the month of January, we analysed a subset of samples (n = 618) with SGTF (24%) and without SGTF (76%) with Ct values Conclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic, it took almost more than 15 days to diagnose infection and identify pathogen by sequencing technology. Objective:To investigate the role of CrX-527,a Toll-like receptor 4 agonist,as the possible adjuvant for recombinant mycobacterium bovis Bacillus Calmette-Guerin expressing merozoite surface protein 1C(BCG-mSP-1C).methods:The mice were immunized with BCG and BCG-mSP-1C in the presence and absence of *** untreated mice(injected with PBS-T80 only)were the negative *** ability of CrX-527 to enhance IgG and its subclasses,as well as IL-4 and IFN-γproduction in the serum and spleen supernatant was evaluated using ***:mice immunized with BCG-mSP-1C exhibited the highest production of IgGs,IL-4 and IFN-γafter third *** addition,CrX-527 further promoted the production of total IgG and IgG subclasses as well as IFN-γand IL-4 in the serum and splenocytes of immunized ***:CrX-527 has the potential as an adjuvant candidate for the candidate *** study is needed to verify appropriate dosage for immunization and its efficacy.
