Cloud computing has attracted significant interest due to the increasing service demands from organizations offloading computationally intensive tasks to ***,datacenter infrastructure comprises hardware resources that consume high amount of energy and give out carbon emissions at hazardous *** cloud datacenter,Virtual Machines(VMs)need to be allocated on various Physical Machines(PMs)in order to minimize resource wastage and increase energy *** allocation problem is *** finding an exact solution is complicated especially for large-scale *** this con text,this paper proposes an Energy-oriented Flower Pollination Algorithm(E-FPA)for VM allocation in cloud datacenter environments.A system framework for the scheme was developed to enable energy-oriented allocation of various VMs on a *** allocation uses a strategy called Dynamic Switching Probability(DSP).The framework finds a near optimal solution quickly and balances the exploration of the global search and exploitation of the local *** considers a processor,storage,and memory constraints of a PM while prioritizing energy-oriented allocation for a set of *** performed on MultiRecCloudSim utilizing planet workload show that the E-FPA outperforms the Genetic Algorithm for Power-Aware(GAPA)by 21.8%,Order of Exchange Migration(OEM)ant colony system by 21.5%,and First Fit Decreasing(FFD)by 24.9%.Therefore,E-FPA significantly improves datacenter performance and thus,enhances environmental sustainability.

Thermoelectric Phenomena in a Quantum Dot Attached to Ferromagnetic Leads in Kondo Regime

We have studied the thermoelectric properties through ferromagnetic leads-QD coupled system(F-QD-F)in the Kondo regime by nonequilibrium Green's functions method. The spin-flip effect induced by ferromagnetic leads and Kondo effect influence the thermoelectric properties significantly. The peak-valley structure emerges at the low temperature due to Kondo resonance, and the peak-valley structure also relies on the polarization angle θ, the spindependent linewidth function Γγσ and the energy level of QD ?d. Novel resonant peak also emerges in the curve of ZTc versus polarization angle θ. The Kondo effect suppresses the figure of merit ZTc and the spin-dependent figure of merit ZTs. In addition, the spin-dependent figure of merit ZTs is relate with the gap between Γγ↑and Γγ↓.

Asymptotic Analysis of a Bingham Fluid in a Thin Domain with Fourier and Tresca Boundary Conditions

In this paper we prove first the existence and uniqueness results for the weak solution,to the stationary equations for Bingham fluid in a three dimensional bounded domain with Fourier and Tresca boundary condition;then we study the asymptotic analysis when one dimension of the fluid domain tend to *** strong convergence of the velocity is proved,a specific Reynolds limit equation and the limit of Tresca free boundary conditions are obtained.

Equilibrium geometries and electronic properties of Be_nLi (n=2-15) clusters from first principles

This paper studies the equilibrium geometries and electronic properties of Ben and BenLi clusters, up to n=15, by using density-functional theory（DFT） at B3LYP/6-31G（d） level. The lowest-energy structures of Ben and BenLi clusters were determined. The results indicate that a single lithium impurity enhances the stability and chemical reactivity of the beryllium clusters. It finds that the geometries of the host clusters change significantly after the addition of the lithium atom for n ≥8. The lithium impurity prefers to be on the periphery of beryllium clusters, and occupies vertex sites. Both Be4Li, Be9Li, and Be13Li were found to be particularly stable with higher average binding energy, local peaks of second-order energy difference and fragmentation energies. For all the BenLi clusters studied, we found charge transfers from the Li to Be site and co-existence of covalent and metallic bonding characteristics.

On (2+1)-Dimensional Non-isospectral Toda Lattice Hierarchy and Integrable Coupling System

By considering （2＋1）-dimensional non-isospectral discrete zero curvature equation, the （2＋1）-dimensional non-isospectral Toda lattice hierarchy is constructed in this article. It follows that some reductions of the （2＋1）- dimensional Toda lattice hierarchy are given. Finally, the （2＋1）-dimensional integrable coupling system of the Toda lattice hierarchy is obtained through enlarging spectral problem.

This paper is devoted to the study ofthe existence of single and multiple positive solutions for the first order boundary value problem x′= f（t, x）, x（0） = x（T）, where f ∈ C（[0,T] × R） . In addition, we apply our existence theorems to a class of nonlinear periodic boundary value problems with a singularity at the origin. Our proofs are based on a fixed point theorem in cones. Our results improve some recent results in the literatures.

It is shown that the Kronecker product can be applied to constructing new discrete integrable couplingsystem of soliton equation hierarchy in this paper.A direct application to the fractional cubic Volterra lattice spectralproblem leads to a novel integrable coupling system of soliton equation *** is also indicated that the study ofdiscrete integrable couplings by using the Kronecker product is an efficient and straightforward *** methodcan be used generally.

Forecasting Global Solar Insolation Using the Ensemble Kalman Filter Based Clearness Index Model

This paper describes a novel approach in developing a model for forecasting of global insolation on a horizontal *** the proposed forecasting model,constraints,such as latitude and whole precipitable water content in vertical column of that location,are *** parameters can be easily measurable with a global positioning system(GPS).The earlier model was developed by using the above datasets generated from different locations in *** model has been verified by calculating theoretical global insolation for different sites covering east,west,north,south and the central region with the measured values from the same *** model has also been validated on a region,from which data was not used during the development of the *** the model,clearness index coefficients(KT)are updated using the ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF)*** forecasting efficacies using the KT model and EnKF algorithm have also been verified by comparing two popular algorithms,namely the recursive least square(RLS)and Kalman filter(KF)*** minimum mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),mean square error(MSE)and correlation coefficient(R)value obtained in global solar insolation estimations using EnKF in one of the locations are 2.4%,0.0285 and 0.9866 respectively.

Effects of nitrogen content on structure and electrical properties of nitrogen-doped fluorinated diamond-like carbon films

Nitrogen-doped fluorinated diamond-like carbon(FN-DLC)films were prepared on single crystal silicon substrate by radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(RF-PECVD)under different deposited conditions with CF4,CH4 and nitrogen as source *** influence of nitrogen content on the structure and electrical properties of the films was *** films were investigated in terms of surface morphology,microstructure,chemical composition and electrical *** force microscopy(AFM)results revealed that the surface morphology of the films became smooth due to doping *** transform infrared absorption spectrometry(FTIR)results showed that amouts of C=N and C≡N bonds increased gradually with increasing nitrogen partial pressure r(r=p(N2)/p(N2+CF4+CH4)).Gaussian fit results of C 1s and N 1s in X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS)showed that the incorporation of nitrogen presented mainly in the forms ofβ-C3N4 and a-CNx(x=1,2,3)in the *** current-voltage(I-V)measurement results showed that the electrical conductivity of the films increased with increasing nitrogen content.
