Develop.ng efficient and stable cathodes for.low-temp.r.tur. solid oxide fuel cells(LT-SOFCs) is of gr.at imp.r.ance for.the p.actical ***,we p.op.se a ser.es of Sm-modified Bi_(0.7-x)Sm_xSr.(0.3)FeO_(3-δ) p.r.vskites as highly-active catalysts for.*** dop.ng can significantly enhance the electr.cata lytic activity and chemical stability of *** 600℃,Bi_(0.675)Sm_(0.025)Sr.(0.3)FeO_(3-δ)(BSSF25) cathode has been found to be the op.imum comp.sition with a p.lar.zation r.sistance of 0.098 Ω cm^2,which is only ar.und 22.8% of Bi_(0.7)Sr.(0.3)FeO_(3-δ)(BSF).A full cell utilizing BSSF25 disp.ays an excep.ional outp.t density of 790 mW cm^(-2),which can op.r.te continuously over.00 h without obvious *** r.mar.able electr.chemical p.r.or.ance obser.ed can be attr.buted to the imp.oved O_(2) tr.nsp.r. kinetics,sup.r.or.sur.ace oxygen adsor.0}ion cap.city,as well as O_(2)p.band center. in close p.oximity to the Fer.i ***,lar.er.aver.ge bonding ener.y(ABE) and the p.esence of highly acidic Bi,Sm,and Fe ions r.str.ct the adsor.0}ion of CO_(2) on the cathode sur.ace,r.sulting in excellent CO_(2) *** wor. p.ovides valuable guidance for.systematic design of efficient and dur.ble catalysts for.LT-SOFCs.
