Greenhouse gases(GHGs)emitted or absorbed by lakes are an important component of the global carbon ***,few studies have focused on the GHG dynamics of eutrophic saline lakes,thus preventing a comprehensive understanding of the carbon ***,we conducted four sampling analyses using a floating chamber in Daihai Lake,a eutrophication saline lake in inner mongolia autonomous region,China,to explore its carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and methane(CH_(4))*** mean CO_(2)emission flux(FCO_(2))and CH_(4)emission flux(FCH_(4))were 17.54±14.54 mmol/m^(2)/day and 0.50±0.50 mmol/m^(2)/day,*** results indicated that Daihai Lake was a source of CO_(2)and CH_(4),and GHG emissions exhibited temporal *** mean CO_(2)partial pressure(p CO_(2))and CH_(4)partial pressure(p CH_(4))were 561.35±109.59μatm and 17.02±13.45μatm,which were supersaturated relative to the *** regression and correlation analysis showed that the main influencing factors of p CO_(2)were wind speed,dissolved oxygen(DO),total nitrogen(TN)and Chlorophyll a(Chl.a),whereas the main influencing factors of p CH_(4)were water temperature(WT),Chl.a,nitrate nitrogen(NO_(3)^(-)-N),TN,dissolved organic carbon(DOC)and water *** regulated carbon mineralization and organic matter decomposition,and it was an important influencing factor of p CO_(2)and p CH_(4).Additionally,the trophic level index(TLI)significantly increased p CH_(4).Our study elucidated that salinity and eutrophication play an important role in the dynamic changes of GHG ***,research on eutrophic saline lakes needs to be strengthened.

Wind erosion is a geomorphic process in arid and semi-arid areas and has substantial implications for regional climate and *** the Columbia Plateau of northwestern United States,the emissions from fine particles of loessial soils often contribute to the exceedance of inhalable particulate matter(PM)with an aerodynamic diameter of 10μm or less(PM10)according to the air quality ***,little is known about the threshold friction velocity(TFV)for particles of different sizes that comprise these *** this study,soil samples of two representative soil types(Warden sandy loam and Ritzville silt loam)collected from the Columbia Plateau were sieved to seven particle size fractions,and an experiment was then conducted to determine the relationship between TFV and particle size *** results revealed that soil particle size significantly affected the initiation of soil movement and TFV;TFV ranged 0.304-0.844 and 0.249-0.739 m/s for different particle size fractions of Ritzville silt loam and Warden sandy loam,***10 and total suspended particulates(TSP)emissions from a bed of 63-90μm soil particles were markedly higher for Warden sandy loam than for Ritzville silt *** with the lower TFV of Warden sandy loam,dust emissions from fine particles(region's atmosphere,since the PM10 emissions from the soil erosion surfaces and its ensuing suspension within the atmosphere constitute an essential process of soil erosion in the Columbia *** and implementing strategic land management practices on sandy loam soils is therefore necessary to control dust emissions in the Columbia Plateau.

Nitrogen(N)deposition is a significant aspect of global change and poses a threat to terrestrial *** impact of plant-soil microbe relationships to N deposition has recently attracted considerable *** microorganisms have been proven to provide nutrients for specific plant growth,especially in nutrient-poor desert steppe ***,the effects of N deposition on plant-soil microbial community interactions in such ecosystems remain poorly *** investigate these effects,we conducted a 6-year N-addition field experiment in a Stipa breviflora *** steppe in inner mongolia autonomous region,*** N treatment levels(N0,N30,N50,and N100,corresponding to 0,30,50,and 100 kg N/(hm2•a),respectively)were applied to simulate atmospheric N *** results showed that N deposition did not significantly affect the aboveground biomass of desert steppe plants.N deposition did not significantly reduce the alfa-diversity of plant and microbial communities in the desert steppe,and low and mediate N additions(N30 and N50)had a promoting effect on *** variation pattern of plant Shannon index was consistent with that of the soil bacterial Chao1 index.N deposition significantly affected the beta-diversity of plants and soil bacteria,but did not significantly affect fungal *** conclusion,N deposition led to co-evolution between desert steppe plants and soil bacterial communities,while fungal communities exhibited strong stability and did not undergo significant *** findings help clarify atmospheric N deposition effects on the ecological health and function of the desert steppe.

Hypolipidemic activity and mechanism of active components of Dracocephalum moldavica L. tea

Hyperlipidemia is associated with many diseases and considered the main contributing factor in the development of metabolic syndrome. The traditional mongolian medicine Dracocephalum moldavica L. (D. moldavica) is commonly consumed as a tea (non-Camellia tea) for the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease， hypertension， atherosclerosis， and other diseases. Here， we attempted to investigate the hypolipidemic activity and mechanisms underlying the active components of D. moldavica. First， the mechanism underlying the lipid accumulation-reducing effects of the D. moldavica ethanol extract was determined using in vitro experiments， and four polar fractions were screened for activity. Then， the effect of the ethyl acetate fraction of D. moldavica (EAD) on lowering blood lipid was confirmed in vivo. The combination of network pharmacological and serum pharmacochemistry analyses showed that apigenin， luteolin， and naringenin of EAD existed in prototype form in the drug-containing serum of rats. We also determined the content of the three active ingredients in EAD. Finally， in vitro experiments showed that apigenin， luteolin， and naringenin improved oleic acid-induced lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells by regulating the PPAR signaling pathway (PPARα， CPT1， and FABP3). Our findings provide mechanistic insights and application prospects for the prevention and treatment of hypolipidemia using D. moldavica.
