Multiple Uplift and Exhumation of the Southeastern Tibetan Plateau:Evidence from Low-Temperature Thermochronology

Since the Cenozoic,the Tibetan Plateau has experienced large-scale uplift and outgrowth due to the India-Asia ***,the mechanism and timing of these tectonic processes still remain ***,using apatite fission track dating and inverse thermal modeling,we explore the mechanism of different phases of rapid cooling for different batholiths and intrusions in the southeastern Tibetan *** contrast to previous views,we find that the coeval granitic batholith exposed in the same tectonic zone experienced differential fast uplift in different sites,indicating that the present Tibetan Plateau was the result of differential uplift rather than the entire lithosphere uplift related to lithospheric collapse during Cenozoic *** addition,we also suggest that the 5-2 Ma mantle-related magmatism should be regarded as the critical trigger for the widely coeval cooling event in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,because it led to the increase in atmospheric CO_(2)level and a hotter upper crust than before,which are efficient for suddenly fast rock weathering and ***,we propose that the current landform of the southeastern Tibetan Plateau was the combined influences of tectonic and climate.

The urban water system theory is an extension of the basin water system science on an urban scale, providing a new systematic solution for the unbalanced human-water relationship and severe water challenges, such as waterlogging, black and odorous water, and ecological degradation caused by urbanization. Most existing studies on urban water systems have focused on individual water cycle processes linked with water supply and sewage treatment plants, but mutual feedback between the water cycle and its associated material circulation and water ecology, as well as human processes, still needs further exploration. In this paper, the concept, theory, and technical methodology of the urban water system were developed based on the water cycle and basin water system science. The Urban Water System 5.0(UWS 5.0) model was developed by integrating the Time Variant Gain rainfall-runoff Model with Urban water system(TVGM_Urban) in different underlying surface conditions for analyzing the natural-social water cycle processes and their associated water environmental and ecological processes and the influence of multiscale sponge measures. Herein, five major simulation functions were realized: rainfall-runoff-nonpoint source pollutant load,water and pollutant transportations through the drainage network system, terminal regulation and purification, socioeconomic water cycle, and water system assessment and regulation. The location for the case study used in this paper was Wuhan City. The findings showed that the entire urban water system should consider the built-up area and its associated rivers and lakes as the research object and explore the integrations among the urban natural-social water cycle and river regulations inside and outside of the city as well as the effects of socioeconomic development and sponge measures on the water quantity-quality-ecology processes. Axial enantiomers with donor-regulated TADF feature for multicolor circularly polarized electroluminescence

This study optimized the TADF feature of axial chiral enantiomers through precise donor engineering,and multicolor CP-TADFwas achieved in the axial chiral *** pairs of axial enantiomers with donor-regulated TADF feature,namely(R/S)-TPCBD,(R/S)-DPCBD,and(R/S)-DPACBD,were synthesized by introducing carbazole donors with different substituents onto biphenyl cyanide *** the electron-donating ability of donors increases,the emission of these axial enantiomers ranges from 455,476 to 552 nm,their singlet-triplet energy gaps(ΔE_(ST))gradually decrease from 0.30,0.22 to 0.02 e V,accompanied by an increasement in the transition rate(k_(RISC))of RISC process,and the k_(RISC)of DPACBD could reach up to 7.16×10^(5)s^(-1).These axial enantiomers also exhibit mirror-image CD and circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)***,OLEDs based on TPCBD,DPCBD,and DPACBD as emitter were then fabricated,which displayed blue,green,and orange electroluminescence with EQE_(max)of 13.0%,16.4%,and 25.0%,*** results also exhibited a phenomenon of device efficiency increasing with the enhancement of donor ***,the CP-OLEDs using(R/S)-TPCBD,(R/S)-DPCBD and(R/S)-DPACBD as emitters displayed intense CPEL signals with g_(EL)values of 3.4×10^(-3)/-4.1×10^(-3),3.2×10^(-3)/-3.1×10^(-3)and2.3×10^(-3)/-2.1×10^(-3),*** convenient molecular engineering of donor regulation in the same molecular skeleton,CP-TADF materials with multicolor CPEL and improved device performance could be conveniently achieved.

Microneedle patch loaded with ferritin-nanocaged doxorubicin for locally targeted drug delivery and efficient skin cancer treatment

A historical review of hybrid rice breeding

The development of germplasm resources and advances in breeding methods have led to steady increases in yield and quality of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Three milestones in the recent history of rice breeding have contributed to these increases: dwarf rice breeding, hybrid rice breeding, and super rice breeding. On the 50th anniversary of the success of three-line hybrid rice,we highlight important scientific discoveries in rice breeding that were made by Chinese scientists and summarize the broader history of the field. We discuss the strategies that could be used in the future to optimize rice breeding further in the hope that China will continue to play a leading role in international rice breeding.

Nuclear phylogenomics of angiosperms and insights into their relationships and evolution

Angiosperms(flowering plants) are by far the most diverse land plant group with over 300,000 species. The sudden appearance of diverse angiosperms in the fossil record was referred to by Darwin as the “abominable mystery,”hence contributing to the heightened interest in angiosperm evolution. Angiosperms display wide ranges of morphological, physiological,and ecological characters, some of which have probably influenced their species richness. The evolutionary analyses of these characteristics help to address questions of angiosperm diversification and require well resolved phylogeny. Following the great successes of phylogenetic analyses using plastid sequences,dozens to thousands of nuclear genes from next-generation sequencing have been used in angiosperm phylogenomic analyses, providing well resolved phylogenies and new insights into the evolution of angiosperms. In this review we focus on recent nuclear phylogenomic analyses of large angiosperm clades, orders, families,and subdivisions of some families and provide a summarized Nuclear Phylogenetic Tree of Angiosperm Families. The newly established nuclear phylogenetic relationships are highlighted and compared with previous phylogenetic results. The sequenced genomes of Amborella,Nymphaea, Chloranthus, Ceratophyllum, and species of monocots, Magnoliids, and basal eudicots, have facilitated the phylogenomics of relationships among five major angiosperms clades. All but one of the 64 angiosperm orders were included in nuclear phylogenomics with well resolved relationships except the placements of several orders. Most families have been included with robust and highly supported placements, especially for relationships within several large and important orders and ***, we examine the divergence time estimation and biogeographic analyses of angiosperm on the basis of the nuclear phylogenomic frameworks and discuss the differences compared with previous analyses. Astrometric Observations of NEA 1998 HH49 Using the Daocheng 50 cm Telescope

This study details an astrometric observation campaign of the Near-Earth Asteroid 1998 HH49, conducted with the aim of refining our understanding of its physical characteristics. Utilizing the 50 cm telescope located at the Wumingshan Mountain in Daocheng, Sichuan, images were obtained over four nights, from 2023 October 19 to October 22. These observations were processed using Astrometrica software, facilitating the precise determination of the asteroid's position. The observational results were compared with the ephemerides from three distinct sources to verify accuracy: the Jet Propulsion laboratory(JPL) Horizons System, the Institut de Mécanique Céleste et de Calcul des éphémérides(IMCCE) Miriade, and the Near-Earth Objects Dynamic Site(NEODyS-2).When compared with the JPL ephemeris, a mean observed-minus-calculated(O-C) result of 0.''07 in the *** and-0.''35 in the decl. direction was yielded. Furthermore, the comparison with the IMCCE ephemeris yielded mean O-C results of 0.''08 in the R.A. direction and-0.''06 in the decl. direction. The comparison with the NEODyS-2 ephemeris yielded the mean O-C results of 0.''06 in R.A. and-0.''49 in decl. direction. The study's findings demonstrate a general consistency between the observed data and the ephemeris predictions, with minor discrepancies observed across the data sets. Notably, both the JPL and NEODyS-2 ephemerides show that the residuals in the decl. direction exceed those in the R.A. direction. The disparities may result from atmospheric differential color refraction, ephemeris discrepancies, observational errors, and other factors. Additionally, it is worth noting that further investigation is required due to the potential influence of additional factors. Overall, the Daocheng 50 cm Telescope exhibits the ability to conduct high-precision positional measurements.
