E-commerce development in rural and remote areas of BRICS countries

E-commerce plays an essential role in modern trade *** is expected that e-commerce volume amounted to 29 trillion USD in the world in 2017,and would grow with the spread of the Internet and information and communication technologies(ICTs).Brazil,Russia,India,China and South Africa(BRICS),together with many others,consider e-commerce a means to facilitate rapid,inclusive and sustainable economic growth,improving the living standards and alleviating *** article examines areas for potential cooperation by BRICS countries in e-commerce development across rural and remote areas to fight *** analyses the current state of e-commerce development in rural and remote areas in each of the BRICS countries,including cases of public and private initiatives to support *** article also defines the opportunities which e-commerce brings to people living in rural and remote ***,it evaluates the existing challenges and *** article concludes that despite the rapid e-commerce development in BRICS countries,and significant opportunities created,there are still issues of disproportionate e-commerce in varied regions and the lack of BRICS cooperation in this *** on a comparative and normative in-depth,systematic analysis,the article develops a set of recommendations for deepening BRICS countries'cooperation in the following areas:infrastructure in rural and remote regions;education;consumer protection;online dispute resolution;coordinated policy in the international scene,including representation of BRICS countries in international indexes,such as the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD)Digital Services trade Restrictiveness Index(STRI).

Food safety regulatory systems in Europe and China:A study of how co-regulation can improve regulatory effectiveness

Food safety has received a great deal of attention in both developed and developing countries in recent years. In China, the numerous food scandals and scares that have struck over the past decade have spurred significant food safety regulatory reform, which has been increasingly oriented towards the public-private partnership model adopted by the Europe Union＇s （EU） food safety regulatory system. This paper analyzes the development of both the EU＇s and China＇s food safety regu- latory systems, identifies the current challenges for China and additionally considers the role of public-private partnership. The success of co-regulation in the food regulatory system would bring significant benefits and opportunities for China. Finally, this paper recommends additional measures like training and grants to improve the private＇s sector effectiveness in co-regulating China＇s food safety issues.

Does Horizontal-Paradigm Aid Weaken the Governance of Recipient Countries?Evidence from China

China's aid has always been an interesting topic in the field of development economics,and the effectiveness of aid is also a controversial subject in the *** paper explores the relationship between China's aid and the governance of its recipient countries from 2000 to *** found that,compared with the vertical paradigm"of traditional donors,China's f,horizontal paradigm‘‘has unique features,promoting the governance of recipient *** employed a cross-sectional estimation and panel analysis with several regression *** our cross-sectional findings did not yield robust evidence to support a relationship between Chinese aid and its recipients'governance,our panel data regressions found a significant and positive *** results were robust in a dynamic panel,even after correcting for ***,China's aid has a positive influence on governance with the inclusion of time *** relationship was found to vary according to aid types.

Cue the volatility spillover in the cryptocurrency markets during the COVID-19 pandemic:evidence from DCC-GARCH and wavelet analysis

This study investigates the dynamic mechanism of financial markets on volatility spillovers across eight major cryptocurrency returns,namely Bitcoin,Ethereum,Stellar,Ripple,Tether,Cardano,Litecoin,and Eos from November 17,2019,to January 25,*** study captures the financial behavior of investors during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of national lockdowns and slowdown of *** different methods,namely,EGARCH,DCC-GARCH,and wavelet,are used to understand whether cryp-tocurrency markets have been exposed to extreme *** GARCH family models provide information about asset returns at given time scales,wavelets capture that information across different frequencies without losing inputs from the time *** overall results show that three cryptocurrency markets(i.e.,Bitcoin,Ethereum,and Litecoin)are highly volatile and mutually dependent over the sample *** result means that any kind of shock in one market leads investors to act in the same direction in the other market and thus indirectly causes volatility spillovers in those *** results also imply that the volatility spillover across cryptocurrency markets was more influential in the second lockdown that started at the beginning of November ***,to calculate the financial risk,two methods—namely,value-at-risk(VaR)and conditional value-at-risk(CVaR)—are used,along with two additional stock indices(the Shanghai Composite Index and S&P 500).Regardless of the confidence level investigated,the selected crypto assets,with the exception of the USDT were found to have substantially greater downside risk than SSE and S&P 500.

After COP21,various economies start putting efforts to fulfill the pledge and achieve carbon *** doing so,scholars highlight several essential factors that can curb carbon *** this lieu,the current study analyzes the role of technological innovation,carbon finance,environmental awareness,urbanization,and green energy like renewable energy consumption(REC)and renewable energy output(REO)on carbon neutrality in E7 countries covering the time span of *** employing CUP-FM and CUP-BC,it is revealed that technological innovation,carbon finance,environmental awareness,urbanization,REC,and REO have a positive connection with carbon neutrality in E7 *** study provides guidelines to the policymakers in developing policies regarding to obtain carbon neutrality using technological innovation,carbon finance,environmental awareness,and green energy.

On the Influence of Internet Word of Mouth (IWOM) on Consumers＇ Purchase Orientation

The development of the Internet is making IWOM focus of different marketing strategies because of its role in consumer's purchase orientation. Therefore,to guide consumers to rational consumption,some optimizing measures can be taken to improve its utilization efficiency on their purchase decision. This paper plans to explore,through modular modeling method,the main factors that could determine the influence of IWOM on consumers' purchase orientation. It is divided into three key parts. The first part studies the status of IWOM through a mathematical modeling. Part Two probes the solutions. The third part tries to verify with an empirical case the effect of the model in improving the advantage of the positive feedback relationship between the IWOM and its utilization efficiency.

Bright and dark soliton solutions for some nonlinear fractional differential equations

In this work, we propose a new approach, namely ansatz method, for solving fractional differential equations based on a fractional complex transform and apply it to the nonlinear partial space-time fractional modified Benjamin-Bona- Mahoney （mBBM） equation, the time fractional mKdV equation and the nonlinear fractional Zoomeron equation which gives rise to some new exact solutions. The physical parameters in the soliton solutions： amplitude, inverse width, free parameters and velocity are obtained as functions of the dependent model coefficients. This method is suitable and more powerful for solving other kinds of nonlinear fractional PDEs arising in mathematical physics. Since the fractional deriva- tives are described in the modified Riemann-Liouville sense.

Tax incentives and environmental protection:Evidence from China’s taxpayer-level data

Since 2008,China has provided ITC(investment tax credit)and TID(taxable income deduction)for firms who engage in investment or business related to reducing pollution emissions and saving *** paper examines both incidence and effects of these tax *** a unique panel dataset mainly from the NTSD(the National Tax Statistics Dataset of China)over 2007-2011,we find that they are generally not *** are the main beneficiaries,while regional characteristics have no impact on taxpayers’attitude to ITC or *** mechanism behind may be that the incentives hurt interests of firms and local *** effects on taxpayers’activities including capital,employment,and production are not remarkable,while growth of coal consumption significantly speeds *** findings are robust to multiple specifications of using different empirical strategies,samples and ***,the results indicate that the tax incentives do serve the purpose of protecting environment by restraining coal consumption in some specific group of firms who are affiliated to the central *** finding confirms a simple model established in the paper that emphasizes the importance of the government’executive power on tax policies,and relates to the literature finding that local support can remarkably boost the efficiency of tax incentives for environmental protection.

China has become the biggest exporter of electronic products in the world. Government policy intervention has contributed significantly to the rapid expansion of the electronics industry. The present paper examines the evolutionary development of industrial policies related to the electronics industry in China and the impacts of such policies on the shaping of the industry, ln particular, the relationship between foreign funded enterprises and domestic firms are examined in detail. The future trend of the industry is also discussed in the paper, and thepolicyfocus of the Chinese Government is predicted.

In this article,we establish exact solutions for the variable-coefficient Fisher-type *** solutions are obtained by the modified sine-cosine method and ansatz *** soliton and periodic solutions and topological as well as the singular 1-soliton solution are obtained with the aid of the ansatz *** solutions are important for the explanation of some practical physical *** obtained results show that these methods provide a powerful mathematical tool for solving nonlinear equations with variable coefficients.
