The spent mushroom substrate(SMS)is a byproduct of cultivation of oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)and represents the composted substrate that remains after completion the harvested *** study mentioned the role of some effective date palm wastes in improving spent mushroom substrate properties which containing fibers of date palm Phoenix dactylifera L.(Fibrillum),mixed with white sawdust and wheat straw in three *** mixtures of SMS namely,SMS1(wheat straw),SMS2(wheat straw 70%,sawdust 20%and date palm fiber 10%)and SMS3(wheat straw 50%,sawdust 30%and date palm fiber 20%)were obtained from locally mushroom farm in western Iraq and sent to determine some properties such as moisture content,dry matter,EC,pH,ash,carbon,nitrogen,protein contents and C:N ***,determinations of Hydrogen ion concentration(pH)for SMS extracts had acidic value at average *** higher EC was 3.30 ms/cm for ***(white),while the lower value reached to 1.13 ms/cm for SMS3 of same *** higher nitrogen content was 9.98 g/kg for ***(white),SMS1 of Pleurotus salmoneostramineus and ***(white),while,*** had lower nitrogen content(6.65 g/kg).The higher C:N ratio was reported with SMS3 of *** at value 35.36,while ***(grey)had ratio 22.03,significantly(p<0.05).Overall,these SMS was suitable as a natural fertilizer and soil amender in agriculture and horticulture fields.

Gene flow patterns and the genetic structure of domesticated crops like cotton are not well ***,marker-assisted breeding of cotton has lagged far behind that of other major crops because the loci associated with cotton traits such as fiber yield and quality have scarcely been *** this study,we used 19 microsatellites to first determine the population genetic structure and patterns of gene flow of superior germplasm resources in upland *** then used association analysis to identify which markers were associated with 15 agronomic traits(including ten yield and five fiber quality traits).The results showed that the upland cotton accessions have low levels of genetic diversity(polymorphism information content=0.427),although extensive gene flow occurred among different ecological and geographic *** clustering analysis indicated that the cotton resources used in this study did not belong to obvious geographic populations,which may be the consequence of a single source of domestication followed by frequent genetic introgression mediated by human transference.A total of 82 maker-trait associations were examined in association analysis and the related ratios for phenotypic variations ranged from 3.04% to 47.14%.Interestingly,nine SSR markers were detected in more than one environmental *** addition,14 SSR markers were co-associated with two or more different *** was noteworthy that NAU4860 and NAU5077 markers detected at least in two environments were simultaneously associated with three fiber quality traits(uniformity index,specific breaking strength and micronaire value).In conclusion,these findings provide new insights into the population structure and genetic exchange pattern of cultivated cotton *** quantitative trait loci of domesticated cotton identified will also be very useful for improvement of yield and fiber quality of cotton in molecular breeding programs.

Phytoplankton blooms in the western North Pacific, triggered by two successive typhoons with different intensities and translation speeds under different pre-existing oceanic conditions, were observed and analyzed using remotely sensed chlorophyll-a （Chl-a）, sea surface temperature （SST）, and sea surface height anomaly （SSHA） data, as well as typhoon parameters and CTD （conductivity, temperature, and depth） profiles. Typhoon Sinlaku, with relatively weaker intensity and slower translation speed, induced a stronger phytoplankton bloom than Jangrni with stronger intensity and faster translation speed （Chl-a〉0.18 mg-m-3 versus Chl- a〈 0.15 mg.m-3） east of Taiwan Island. Translation speed may be one of the important mechanisms that affect phytoplankton blooms in the study area. Pre-existing cyclonic circulations provided a relatively unstable thermodynamic structure for Sinlaku, and therefore cold water with rich nutrients could be brought up easily. The mixed-layer deepening caused by Typhoon Sinlaku, which occurred first, could have triggered an unfavorable condition for the phytoplankton bloom induced by Typhoon Jangmi which followed afterwards. The sea surface temperature cooling by Jangmi was suppressed due to the presence of the thick upper-ocean mixed-layer, which prevented the deeper cold water from being entrained into the upper-ocean mixed layer, leading to a weaker phytoplankton augment. The present study sug- gests that both wind （including typhoon translation speed and intensity） and pre-existing conditions （e.g., mixed- layer depths, eddies, and nutrients） play important roles in the strong phytoplankton bloom, and are responsible for the stronger phytoplankton bloom after Sinlaku＇s passage than that after Jangmi＇s passage. A new typhoon- influencing parameter is introduced that combines the effects of the typhoon forcing （including the typhoon intensity and translation speed） and the oceanic pre- condition. Objective Diabetic foot ulcer(DFU)is one of the most serious complications of ***-and platelet-rich fibrin(L-PRF)is a second-generation autologous platelet-rich *** study aims to investigate the clinical effects of L-PRF in patients with diabetes in real clinical *** Patients with DFU who received L-PRF treatment and standard of care(SOC)from 2018 to 2019 in Tongji Hospital were *** clinical information including patient characteristics,wound evaluation(area,severity,infection,blood supply),SOC of DFU,and images of ulcers was retrospectively extracted and analyzed.L-PRF treatment was performed every 7±2 days until the ulcer exhibited complete epithelialization or an overall percent volume reduction(PVR)greater than 80%.Therapeutic effectiveness,including overall PVR and the overall and weekly healing rates,was *** Totally,26 patients with DFU were enrolled,and they had an ulcer duration of 47.0(35.0,72.3)*** severity and infection of ulcers varied,as indicated by the Site,Ischemia,Neuropathy,Bacterial Infection,and Depth(SINBAD)scores of 2–6,Wagner grades of 1–4,and the Perfusion,Extent,Depth,Infection and Sensation(PEDIS)scores of 2–*** initial ulcer volume before L-PRF treatment was 4.94(1.50,13.83)cm3,and the final ulcer volume was 0.35(0.03,1.76)*** median number of L-PRF doses was 3(2,5).A total of 11 patients achieved complete epithelialization after the fifth week of treatment,and 19 patients achieved at least an 80%volume reduction after the seventh *** overall wound-healing rate was 1.47(0.63,3.29)cm3/week,and the healing rate was faster in the first 2 weeks than in the remaining *** treatment did not change the percentage of complete epithelialization or healing *** Adding L-PRF to SOC significantly improved wound healing in patients with DFU independent of the ankle brachial index,SINBAD score,or Wagner grade,indicating that this method is appropriate for D

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most challenging subtype of breast *** endeavor has been made to explore the molecular biology basis of ***,we reported a novel function of factor Kinectin 1(KTN1)as a carcinogenic promoter in ***1 expression in TNBC was increased compared with adjacent tissues or luminal or Her2 subtypes of breast cancer,and TNBC patients with high KTN1 expression have poor *** functional studies,knockdown of KTN1 inhibited the proliferation and invasiveness of TNBC both in vitro and in vivo,while overexpression of KTN1 promoted cancer cell proliferation and ***-seq analysis revealed that the interaction of cytokine-cytokine receptor,particularly CXCL8 gene,was upregulated by KTN1,which was supported by the further ***8 depletion inhibited the tumorigenesis and progression of ***,rescue experiments validated that KTN1-mediated cell growth acceleration in TNBC was dependent on CXCL8 both in vitro and in ***,it was found that KTN1 enhanced the phosphorylation of NF-κB/p65 protein at Ser536 site,and specifically bound to NF-κB/p65 protein in the nucleus and cytoplasm of ***,the transcription of CXCL8 gene was directly upregulated by the complex of KTN1 and NF-κB/p65 *** together,our results elucidated a novel mechanism of KTN1 gene in TNBC tumorigenesis and ***1 may be a potential molecular target for the development of TNBC treatment.

Oral mucosal and salivary lipids exhibit potent antimicrobial activity for a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria;however,little is known about their spectrum of antimicrobial activity or mechanisms of action against oral *** this study,we examine the activity of two fatty acids and three sphingoid bases against Porphyromonas gingivalis,an important colonizer of the oral cavity implicated in *** inhibitory concentrations,minimal bactericidal concentrations,and kill kinetics revealed variable,but potent,activity of oral mucosal and salivary lipids against ***,indicating that lipid structure may be an important determinant in lipid mechanisms of activity against bacteria,although specific components of bacterial membranes are also likely *** micrographs showed ultrastructural damage induced by sapienic acid and phytosphingosine and confirmed disruption of the bacterial plasma *** information,coupled with the association of treatment lipids with *** lipids revealed via thin layer chromatography,suggests that the plasma membrane is a likely target of lipid antibacterial *** a combination of two-dimensional in-gel electrophoresis and western blot followed by mass spectroscopy and N-terminus degradation sequencing we also show that treatment with sapienic acid induces upregulation of a set of proteins comprising a unique *** stress response,including proteins important in fatty acid biosynthesis,metabolism and energy production,protein processing,cell adhesion and *** or therapeutic lipid treatments may be beneficial for intervention of infection by supplementing the natural immune function of endogenous lipids on mucosal surfaces.

Groundwater vulnerability assessment is a crucial step in the efficient management of groundwater resources,especially in areas with intensive anthropogenic activities and groundwater *** the present study,the DRASTIC method was applied using Geographic information System(GIS)to delineate groundwater vulnerability zones in the Erbil Dumpsite area,Central Erbil Basin,North *** showed that the area was classified into four vulnerability classes:Very low(16.97%),low(27.67%),moderate(36.55%)and high(18.81%).The southern,south-eastern and northern parts of the study area exhibited the highest vulnerability potential,while the central-northern,northern and north-western regions displayed the lowest vulnerability ***,results of the single-parameter sensitivity analysis indicated that amongst the seven DRASTIC parameters,the unsaturated zone and the aquifer media were the most influencing *** conclustion,the correlation of 25 nitrate concentration values with the final vulnerability map,assessed using the Pearson correlation coefficient,yielded a satisfactory result of R=0.72.
