B-N covalent bond-involved π-extension of multiple resonance emitters enables high-performance narrowband electroluminescence

Multi-boron-embedded multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence（MR-TADF） emitters show promise for achieving both high color-purity emission and high exciton utilization ***, their development is often impeded by a limited synthetic scope and excessive molecular weights,which challenge material acquisition and organic light-emitting diode（OLED） fabrication by vacuum deposition. Herein, we put forward a B–N covalent bond-involved π-extension strategy via post-functionalization of MR frameworks, leading to the generation of high-order B/N-based motifs. The structurally and electronically extended π-system not only enhances molecular rigidity to narrow emission linewidth but also promotes reverse intersystem crossing to mitigate efficiency roll-off. As illustrated examples, ultra-narrowband sky-blue emitters（full-width at half-maximum as small as 8 nm in n-hexane）have been developed with multi-dimensional improvement in photophysical properties compared to their precursor emitters, which enables narrowband OLEDs with external quantum efficiencies(EQEmax) of up to 42.6%, in company with alleviated efficiency decline at high brightness, representing the best efficiency reported for single-host OLEDs. The success of these emitters highlights the effectiveness of our molecular design strategy for advanced MR-TADF emitters and confirms their extensive potential in high-performance optoelectronic devices.

The unstable zinc anode/electrolyte interface induced by corrosion,interfacial water splitting reaction,and dendrite growth seriously degrades the performances of metal Zn anode in aqueous ***,the nucleation and growth of zinc hydroxide sulfate(ZHS),an interfacial by-product,has been tailored by Tween 80 in the electrolyte,which thereby assists in in-situ forming a dense solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)with small-sized ZHS and evenly distributed Tween *** SEI has high corrosion resistance and uniform distribution of zinc ions,which not only contributes to blocking the interfacial side reactions but also induces stable and calm zinc plating/***,the modified electrolyte can confer the assembled Zn||Zn symmetric cell with a stable operation life over 1500 h at 1 mA·cm^(−2)and 1 mAh·cm^(−2)as well as the practical Zn||NH4V4O10 full battery with a high-rate capacity of 120 mAh·g^(−1)at the current density of 5 A·g^(−1).This work provides a way for regulating and reusing interfacial by-products,and a new sight on stabilization electrodes/electrolyte interfaces.

High-energy radiation detection and imaging technology has significant applications in highenergy physics research, medical imaging, and industrial monitoring. Lead-free metal halides exhibit exceptional potential for conducting indirect detection of high-energy radiation due to their characteristics of low toxicity, strong stability, high light yield, and large Stokes shift. This paper reviews the most recent advances in lead-free metal halide scintillator materials for X-ray imaging. Subsequently, it lists the most important parameters of scintillator performance and introduces the production procedures for single crystal, powder,and nanocrystal scintillators. Furthermore, it discusses the manufacturing of scintillator films with improved performance, focusing on large-area flexible scintillator films and the coupling with microstructures. Finally,it discusses current challenges and opportunities for enhancing X-ray imaging using lead-free metal halide scintillator materials.

Prussian blue(PB),as a promising inorganic electrochromic material(ECM),has been widely used in smart windows,displays,sensors,***,there are still many challenges for PB to achieve high electrochromic ***,we synthesized nitrogen-doped carbon dots-modified PB film(defined as PB@N-CDs)with a sandwich-like structure by a simple stepwise electrodeposition *** carbon dots show an obvious advantage in ultrafast electron transfer ability,which can reduce charge loss during the transfer process,improve the electrochemical activity on both sides of PB,and thus facilitate a rapid electrochromic ***,the surface of nitrogen-doped carbon dots contains multiple organic functional groups,which widen the movement path of K+ions under electrostatic ***,the PB@N-CDs film exhibits a short bleaching/coloring time(0.5/0.9 s)and a superior optical modulation range(78.6%).Particularly,the coloring efficiency has been significantly improved to 137.71 cm^(2)/C(at 700 nm).All of these results open up new avenues for developing highperformance PB-based ECMs and promoting their applications in corresponding electrochromic devices(ECDs)and smart windows.

Perovskite solar cells have shown great potential in the field of underwater solar cells due to their excellent optoelectronic properties;however,their underwater performance and stability still hinder their practical *** this research,a 1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyl acrylate(HFDA)anti-reflection coating(ARC)was introduced as a high-transparent material for encapsulating perovskite solar modules(PSMs).Optical characterization results revealed that HFDA can effectively reduce reflection of light below 800 nm,aiding in the absorption of light within this wavelength range by underwater solar ***,a remarkable efficiency of 14.65%was achieved even at a water depth of 50 ***,the concentration of Pb^(2+)for HFDA-encapsulated film is significantly reduced from 186 to 16.5 ppb after being immersed in water for 347 ***,the encapsulated PSMs still remained above 80%of their initial efficiency after continuous underwater illumination for 400 ***,being exposed to air,the encapsulated PSMs maintained 94%of their original efficiency after 1000 h light *** highly transparent ARC shows great potentials in enhancing the stability of perovskite devices,applicable not only to underwater cells but also extendable to land-based photovoltaic devices.

Tin-based perovskite solar cells(TPSCs)have received great attention due to their eco-friendly properties and high theoretical ***,the fast crystallization feature of tin-based perovskites leads to poor film quality and limits the corresponding device ***,a chlorofullerene,C_(60)Cl_(6),with six chlorine attached to the C_(60)cage,is applied to modulate the crystallization process and passivate grain boundary defects of the perovskite *** chemical interactions between C_(60)Cl_(6)and perovskite components retard the transforming process of precursors to perovskite crystals and obtain a high-quality tin-based perovskite *** is also revealed that the C_(60)Cl_(6)located at the surfaces and grain boundaries can not only passivate the defects but also offer a role in suturing grain boundaries to suppress the detrimental effects of water and oxygen on perovskite films,especially the oxidation of Sn^(2+)to Sn^(4+).As a result,the C_(60)Cl_(6)-based device yields a remarkably improved device efficiency from 10.03%to 13.30%with enhanced *** work provides a new strategy to regulate the film quality and stability of TPSCs using functional fullerene materials.

Semi-transparent perovskite solar cells(ST-PSCs)have broad applications in building integrated ***,the stability of ST-PSCs needs to be improved,especially in n-i-p ST-PSCs since the doped 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis(N,N-di-p-methoxyphenyl-amine)-9,9'-spirobifluorene(Spiro-OMeTAD)is unstable at elevated temperatures and high *** this work,aπ-conjugated polymer poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl)thiophene-2-yl)-benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene))-alt-(5,5-(1',3'-di-2-thienyl-5',7'-bis(2-ethylhexyl)benzo[1',2'-c:4',5'-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione)](PBDB-T)is selected to form a polymer composite hole transport layer(HTL)with *** sulfur atom of the thiophene unit and the carbonyl group of the polymer interact with the undercoordinated Pb2+at the perovskite surface,which stabilizes the perovskite/HTL interface and passivates the interfacial *** incorporation of the polymer also increases the glass transition temperature and the moisture resistance of *** a result,we obtain ST-PSCs with a champion efficiency of 13.71%and an average visible light transmittance of 36.04%.Therefore,a high light utilization efficiency of 4.94%can be ***,the encapsulated device can maintain 84%of the initial efficiency after 751 h under continuous one-sun illumination(at 30%relative humidity)at the open circuit and the unencapsulated device can maintain 80%of the initial efficiency after maximum power tracking for more than 1250 h under continuous one-sun illumination.

Recently,the newly synthesized septuple-atomic layer two-dimensional(2D)material MoSi_(2)N_(4)(MSN)has attracted attention *** work delves into the effect of vacancies and external electric fields on the electronic properties of the MSN/graphene(Gr)heterostructure using first-principles *** find that four types of defective structures,N-in,N-out,Si and Mo vacancy defects of monolayer MSN and MSN/Gr heterostructure are stable in ***,vacancy defects can effectively modulate the charge transfer at the interface of the MSN/Gr heterostructure as well as the work function of the pristine monolayer MSN and MSN/Gr ***,the application of an external electric field enables the dynamic switching between n-type and p-type Schottky *** work may offer the possibility of exceeding the capabilities of conventional Schottky diodes based on MSN/Gr heterostructures.
