In order to supply better accordance for mod eling and simulation of complex networks, a new degree dependence entropy （DDE） descriptor is proposed to describe the degree dependence relationship and corre sponding characteristic in this paper. First of all, degrees of vertices and the shortest path lengths between all pairs of ,ertices are computed. Then the degree dependence matrices under different shortest path lengths are con structed. At last the DDEs are extracted from the degree dependence matrices. Simulation results show that the DDE descriptor can reflect the complexity of degree dependence relationship in complex networks; high DDE indicates complex degree dependence relationship; low DDE indicates the opposite one. The DDE can be seen as a quantitative statistical characteristic, which is meaningful for networked modeling and simulation.

Basing on discrete event simulation, a reliability simulation algorithm of the phased-mission system with multiple states is put forth. Firstly, the concepts and main characters of phasedmission system are discussed, and an active and standby redundancy (AS) tree structure method to describe the system structure of each mission phase is brought forward. Secondly, the behavior of the phased-mission system with multiple states is discussed with the theory of state chart. Thirdly, basing on the discrete event simulation concept, a simulation algorithm to estimate reliability parameters of the phased-mission system with multiple states is explored. Finally, an example is introduced and analyzed, and the analysis result verifies the algorithms. The simulation algorithm is practical and versatile, for it can model complex behavior of phased-mission system flexibly, and more reliability parameters to understand system operation can be attained.

Satellite Internet(SI) provides broadband access as a critical information infrastructure in ***, with the integration of the terrestrial Internet, the influx of massive terrestrial traffic will bring significant threats to SI, among which DDoS attack will intensify the erosion of limited bandwidth resources. Therefore, this paper proposes a DDoS attack tracking scheme using a multi-round iterative Viterbi algorithm to achieve high-accuracy attack path reconstruction and fast internal source locking, protecting SI from the source. Firstly, to reduce communication overhead, the logarithmic representation of the traffic volume is added to the digests after modeling SI, generating the lightweight deviation degree to construct the observation probability matrix for the Viterbi algorithm. Secondly, the path node matrix is expanded to multi-index matrices in the Viterbi algorithm to store index information for all probability values, deriving the path with non-repeatability and maximum probability. Finally, multiple rounds of iterative Viterbi tracking are performed locally to track DDoS attack based on trimming tracking results. Simulation and experimental results show that the scheme can achieve 96.8% tracking accuracy of external and internal DDo S attack at 2.5 seconds, with the communication overhead at 268KB/s, effectively protecting the limited bandwidth resources of SI.

Mission evaluation is a new requirement for capability evaluation of the weapon system of systems(WSOS) in the era of big data, and is based on evaluating large-scale tasks with similar attributes. The use of traditional methods by military experts to evaluate large scale tasks incurs significant time cost and results in low accuracy, and is caused by a variety of factors that cause confusion. Therefore, we developed a system to assist military personnel in improving the efficiency of mission evaluation; the main innovations of our work include the qualitative and quantitative visualization of complex information is realized in a three-pane interface. We also realize the iterative and interactive evaluation modes of large-scale tasks by using the active learning method; moreover, the overall display of large-scale task evaluation results is realized using statistical graphics. In practical application, the system not only improves the users’ efficiency and accuracy scores, but also helps to achieve the recognition evaluation for the overall scoring results.

Lower back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the world and it is experienced by a huge percentage of people *** to its ability to produce a detailed view of the soft tissues,including the spinal cord,nerves,intervertebral discs,and vertebrae,Magnetic Resonance Imaging is thought to be the most effective method for imaging the *** semantic segmentation of vertebrae plays a major role in the diagnostic process of lumbar *** is difficult to semantically partition the vertebrae in Magnetic Resonance Images from the surrounding variety of tissues,including muscles,ligaments,and intervertebral discs.U-Net is a powerful deep-learning architecture to handle the challenges of medical image analysis tasks and achieves high segmentation *** work proposes a modified U-Net architecture namely MU-Net,consisting of the Meijering convolutional layer that incorporates the Meijering filter to perform the semantic segmentation of lumbar vertebrae L1 to L5 and sacral vertebra ***-colour mask images were generated and used as ground truth for training the *** work has been carried out on 1312 images expanded from T1-weighted mid-sagittal MRI images of 515 patients in the Lumbar Spine MRI Dataset publicly available from Mendeley *** proposed MU-Net model for the semantic segmentation of the lumbar vertebrae gives better performance with 98.79%of pixel accuracy(PA),98.66%of dice similarity coefficient(DSC),97.36%of Jaccard coefficient,and 92.55%mean Intersection over Union(mean IoU)metrics using the mentioned dataset.

In the field of weapon system of systems (WSOS) simulation, various indicators are widely used to describe the capability of WSOS, but it is always difficult to describe the comprehensive capability of WSOS quickly and intuitively by visualization of multi-dimensional indicators. A method of machine learning and visualization is proposed, which can display and analyze the capabilities of different WSOS in a two-dimensional plane. The analysis and comparison of the comprehensive capability of different components of WSOS is realized by the method, which consists of six parts: multiple simulations, key indicators mining, three spatial distance calculation, fusion project calculation, calculation of individual capability density, and calculation of multiple capability ranges overlay. Binding a simulation experiment, the collaborative analysis of six indicators and 100 possible kinds of red WSOS are achieved. The experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the quality and speed of capabilities analysis, reveal a large number of potential information, and provide a visual support for the qualitative and quantitative analysis model.

The indicator system is the foundation and emphasis in the effectiveness evaluation of system of systems(SoS). In the past, indicator systems were founded based on qualitative methods, and every indicator was mainly determined by the expert with experience. This paper proposed a brand-new method to construct indicator systems based on the repeated simulation of the scenario space, and calculated by quantitative data. Firstly, the selection of key indicators using the Gini indicator importance measure(IIM)is calculated by random forests(RFs). Then, principal component analysis(PCA) is applied when we use the selected indicators to construct the composite indicator system of SoS. Furthermore,a set of rulesare is developed to verify the practicability of the indicator system such as correlation, robustness, accuracy and convergence. Experiment shows that the algorithm achieves good results for the construction of composite indicators of So S.

This paper gives an analysis of the dynamic characteristics of situation elements(SEs) in situation awareness(SA)research. The purpose of the discussion is to understand the factors that influence SA and to help in designing the training systems to improve operators’ SA. The status function of SEs is defined and the derivative of the function represents trends of the status of SEs at each moment. Then, Fourier transform(FT) is used to give the frequency-domain function in terms of the time-domain status function. In frequency domain, the bandwidth of the status function is used as a criterion to characterize the notion of "fast" and"slow" of the change of SE’s status, which represents the dynamic characteristic of SEs. The criterion constitutes the first analytical measurement of the dynamic characteristic of SEs, which is one of the important factors that influence the SA process.
