Visualization analysis of the research status of FU Qingzhu’s Obstetrics and Gynecology based on bibliometrics

Objective This study examined the research status and development process of FU Qingzhu’s Obstetrics and Gynecology(Fu Qing Zhu Nv Ke,《傅青主女科》,FQZNK)in the past 40 years with bibliometrics and visual *** Retrieved all related literature in the research field of FQZNK from the domestic and foreign databases:China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),Wanfang Database,and Web of Science(WOS)core database,including Science Citation Index Expanded(SCIE),Social Sciences Citation Index(SSCI),and Arts&Humanities Citation Index(A&HCI).The search range was from January 1,1980 to March 10,*** addition,bibliometrics and CiteSpace 5.7.R2 software were used to analyze literature types,published journals,cited literature,the number of author publica-tions,co-author networks,co-institution networks,keyword co-occurrence networks,keyword clusters,and keyword *** A total of 678 valid records were included in the final *** types,high publication journals,highly cited literature,high-yield institutions,high-yield research teams,and high-productivity scholars in this research field were found through ***-ature types can be divided into four categories,among which 451 are theoretical studies on academic thoughts of FQZNK,accounting for 66.5%of the included *** Journal of Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine had the largest volume of published articles(61),ac-counting for 9.0%of the total number of the included *** most cited literature was ZHOU Mingxin’s article“Using the quantitative method to discuss author’s authenticity and formula characteristics of FU Qingzhu’s Obstetrics and Gynecology”,which was cited 94 *** University of Chinese Medicine,the institution with the most publications,published 45 articles,and YOU Zhaoling,the most published author,published 33 ***,it was found that most high-yield researchers came from high-yield inst

Male infertility is a complex reproductive disorder that impedes a huge number of couples from having children naturally in the world(Agarwal et al.,2021).As an important pathogenic factor of male infertility,spermatogenic impairments are mainly characterized by impaired male gamete production,reduced sperm quality,or function(Tournaye et al.,2017).Spermatogenesis is a delicate and complex biological process that requires the collaboration of a large number of proteins performing different biological functions(Liu et al.,2021).

Sexually reproducing animals require an orchestrated communication between spermatozoa and the egg to generate a new individual. Capacitation, a maturational complex phenomenon that occurs in the female reproductive tract, renders spermatozoa capable of binding and fusing with the oocyte, and it is a requirement for mammalian fertilization. Capacitation encompasses plasma membrane reorganization, ion permeability regulation, cholesterol loss and changes in the phosphorylation state of many proteins. Novel tools to study sperm ion channels, image intracellular ionic changes and proteins with better spatial and temporal resolution, are unraveling how modifications in sperm ion transport and phosphorylation states lead to capacitation. Recent evidence indicates that two parallel pathways regulate phosphorylation events leading to capacitation, one of them requiring activation of protein kinase A and the second one involving inactivation of ser/thr phosphatases. This review examines the involvement of ion transporters and phosphorylation signaling processes needed for spermatozoa to achieve capacitation. Understanding the molecular mechanisms leading to fertilization is central for societies to deal with rising male infertility rates, to develop safe male gamete-based contraceptives and to preserve biodiversity through better assisted fertilization strategies.

Objective:Spermatogenesis is a complex process which is of vital importance for sexual *** many studies of spermatogenesis,the mRNAs,protein-coding genes,as well as small noncoding RNAs(ncRNAs)have been well ***,there remain numerous questions despite previously characterized molecular *** ncRNAs(lncRNAs)are a relatively new addition to our knowledge of *** studies have examined the function of lncRNAs in ***,we selected a testis-specific lncRNA,lncRNA4667,to analyze its potential role in spermatogenesis and male ***:In situ hybridization and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analyses were used to confirm testis-specific expression of ***4667 knockout mice were generated using CRISPR/Cas9 ***,sperm counts,sperm motility,body parameters,and fertility were compared between wild-type and knockout mice(n=8/group).Results:Expression analysis showed that lncRNA4667 was testis specific and localized to round spermatids in seminiferous tubules of adult mouse *** homozygous for a null mutation of lncRNA4667 displayed normal spermatogenesis and fertility compared with wild-type ***:These data indicate that lncRNA4667 is dispensable for spermatogenesis and fertility in mice,and the localization of lncRNA4667 makes it a useful marker for the identification of round spermatids in mice.

Meiosis is a process for gamete formation in sexually-reproducing *** this process,proper crossover recombination between homologous chromosomes is essential for regular chromosome *** number and distribution of crossovers are tightly *** placed crossovers including number and positions would cause infertility,sterility,birth defects and many kinds of genetic *** seems that meiotic recombination is different between human male and *** recently,we have identified specific "crossover maturation inefficiency" in human female meiosis,which causes 5%of the intermediates that should mature into crossover products actually fail to do *** "female-specific crossover maturation inefficiency" is the major contributor to the high level of chromosome missegregation and resultant aneuploidy for human female oocytes(e.g.,giving Down syndrome).We will discuss the possible cause and consequence of "crossover maturation inefficiency".

To the Editor:infertility affects 15%to 20%of couples worldwide,and assisted reproductive technology(ART)is the most effective treatment *** addition to female age,many other factors,such as antral follicle count(AFC),basal follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)level,and anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH)level,collectively known as biomarkers for ovarian reserve tests(ORTs),are widely used to predict ovarian responses and assisted-pregnancy outcomes.[1]Among them,AMH and FSH levels were discordant in 20%to 43%of women undergoing ART treatment,and AMH was proven to be superior in predicting live birth rate(LBR).[2]
