The hot deformation behavior of IN706 has been investigated by means of hot compression tests in the temperature range of 900-1150℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-1 s^-1. The constitutive equation was developed on the basis of experimental data. Power dissipation efficiency （η） and instability parameter （4） maps were evaluated using the principles of the dynamic material model. Furthermore, the EBSD microstructure analysis was performed for validation, revealing that η was closely associated with the mechanism of dynamic recrystallization （DRX）. Microstructure transition map was composed of contour plots of η, 4, and DRX. The DRX domain zones and instable zones were identified in the processing map and were classified based on η. In a view of microstructure refinement and workability improvement, the optimum processing should be selected in the temperature range of 970-1025 ~C and the strain rate range of 0.08-0.01 s^-1.

Electric field treatment （EFT） was applied on GH4169 alloy during aging at 500-800℃ to investigate the microstructure and property variation of the alloy under the action of EFT. The results demonstrate that the shortdistance diffusion of Al, Ti, and Nb atoms can be accelerated by EFT, which results in the coarsening of γ′and γ＂ phases. Meanwhile, lattice distortion can be caused by the segregation of Fe and Cr atoms, owing to the vacancy flows migrating toward the charged surfaces of the alloy. Therefore, the alloy is hardened by the application of EFT, even if the strength of the alloy is partly reduced, which is caused by precipitation coarsening.

The coarsening behaviors of γ′ and γ″ phases in GH4169 alloy aged at 1023 and 1073 K with electric field treatment （EFT） were investigated by transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy （PALS）. It is demonstrated that precipitation coarsening occurs, and the growth activation energies of γ′ and γ″phases can be decreased to 115.6 and 198.1 ***1-1, respectively, by applying the electric field. The formation of a large number of vacancies in the matrix is induced by EFT. Due to the occurrence of vacancy migration, the diffusion coefficients of A1 and Nb atoms are increased to be 1.6-5.0 times larger than those without EFT at 1023 or 1073 K. Furthermore, the formation of vacancy clusters is promoted by EFT, and the increase in strain energy for the coarsening of γ′ and γ″ phases can be counterbalanced by the formation of vacancy clusters.

The development of low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells(LT-SOFCs)is of significant importance for realizing the widespread application of *** has stimulated a substantial materials research effort in developing high oxide-ion conductivity in the electrolyte layer of *** this context,for the first time,a dielectric material,CaCu_(3)Ti_(4)O_(12)(CCTO)is designed for LT-SOFCs electrolyte application in this *** individual CCTO and its heterostructure materials with a p-type Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)LiO_(2−δ)(NCAL)semiconductor are evaluated as alternative electrolytes in LT-SOFC at 450–550℃.The single cell with the individual CCTO electrolyte exhibits a power output of approximately 263 mW cm^(-2) and an open-circuit voltage(OCV)of 0.95 V at 550℃,while the cell with the CCTO–NCAL heterostructure electrolyte capably delivers an improved power output of approximately 605 mW cm^(-2) along with a higher OCV over 1.0 V,which indicates the introduction of high hole-conducting NCAL into the CCTO could enhance the cell performance rather than inducing any potential short-circuiting *** is found that these promising outcomes are due to the interplay of the dielectric material,its structure,and overall properties that led to improve electrochemical mechanism in CCTO–***,density functional theory calculations provide the detailed information about the electronic and structural properties of the CCTO and NCAL and their heterostructure CCTO–*** study thus provides a new approach for developing new advanced electrolytes for LT-SOFCs.

The influence of aging treatment on precipitation behavior of η phase in a new Ni-Co-Cr fastener superalloy, AEREX350, was investigated by means of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. The precipitation behavior of η phase with two kinds of morphologies in this material was found to be sensitive to the temperature and time of aging treatment. Time-temperature-transformation curves of these two η phase were achieved. Furthermore, diffraction patterns revealed the semi-coherent orientation relationship between η phase and γ matrix. This approach may be used to optimize the microstructure of the alloy for excellent mechanical properties.

The microstructure of hot rolled AEREX350 alloy under various solution treatments was investigated by scanning electron microscope （SEM） and transmission electron microscope （TEM）. It was found that with increasing solution temperature, η phase precipitated firstly at grain boundaries in parallel at 800 ℃ and then within grains at about 980 ℃. The η phase precipitated at grain boundaries played a role in preventing the migration of grain boundaries, and the η phase precipitated within grains would form Widmannstatten structure with further increasing solution temperature. η phase precipitated at grain boundaries was dissolved at temperature ranging from 1080 ℃ to 1095 ℃, resulting in grain growth promptly owing to release of the pinning effect on grain boundaries. γ phase precipitated during the process of air cooling after hot rolling and dissolved at temperature ranging between 1010 ℃ and 1020 ℃.

The color of Cu Mn Zn alloys is quantitatively researched using the CIE L * a * b * color system. The color parameters such as L *, a * and b * are employed to describe the color and are measured by a spectrophotometer. Based on the color data of 46 experimental alloys, a series of formulae are established to correlate color parameters changed with the alloy composition. Therefore, the color of the ternary Cu Mn Zn alloys can be calculated and forecast easily. The results show that Mn plays a more important role in the color of Cu Mn Zn alloys than Zn does. In particular, the chroma values of ternary Cu Mn Zn alloys mainly depend on the Mn content.

Rare earth doping effects on superconducting properties of MgB_2:A review

Rare earth(RE) elements and their compounds have been doped into MgB_2 since the discovery of the superconductivity of MgB_2. The doping effects of RE elements and RE compounds are summarized in terms of different doping methods and the accompanying variations in the superconducting transition temperature, upper critical field, irreversibility field, and critical current density(Jc). Conclusions are drawn on the doping mechanisms to demonstrate the possibility of improvement of Jcin the future. REBy phase inclusions are observed in MgB_2 as nano-pinning centers with significant enhancement of Jcin MgB_2 doped with Y, La, Dy, Ho, Nd, etc. Furthermore, some REs with larger magnetic moments will provide more efficient flux pinning centers with larger pinning forces, which is different with the doping effects and mechanism of ferromagnetic transition metals in MgB_2. The co-doping effects of RE with other dopants are also reviewed due to the multiple advantages of different doping mechanisms.

The risk of flammability is an unavoidable issue for gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs).Usually,flameretardant solvents are necessary to be used,but most of them would react with anode/cathode easily and cause serious interfacial instability,which is a big challenge for design and application of nonflammable ***,a nonflammable GPE(SGPE)is developed by in situ polymerizing trifluoroethyl methacrylate(TFMA)monomers with flame-retardant triethyl phosphate(TEP)solvents and LiTFSI–LiDFOB dual lithium *** is strongly anchored to PTFMA matrix via polarity interaction between-P=O and-CH_(2)CF_(3).It reduces free TEP molecules,which obviously mitigates interfacial reactions,and enhances flame-retardant performance of TEP *** TEP molecules are also inhibited in solvation of Li^(+),leading to anion-dominated solvation sheath,which creates inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interface/cathode electrolyte interface *** coordination structure changes Li^(+)transport from sluggish vehicular to fast structural transport,raising ionic conductivity to 1.03 mS cm^(-1) and transfer number to 0.41 at 30℃.The Li|SGPE|Li cell presents highly reversible Li stripping/plating performance for over 1000 h at 0.1 mA cm^(−2),and 4.2 V LiCoO_(2)|SGPE|Li battery delivers high average specific capacity>120 mAh g^(−1) over 200 *** study paves a new way to make nonflammable GPE that is compatible with Li metal anode.
