Resilience provides mediating effect of resilience between fear of progression and sleep quality in patients with hematological malignancies

Conquer coronary artery perforation with magic hands

Coronary artery perforation(CAP) poses a significant challenge for interventional cardiologists. Management of CAP depends on the location and severity of the perforation. The conventional method for addressing the perforation of large vessels involves the placement of a covered stent, while the perforation of distal and collateral vessels is typically managed using coils, autologous skin, subcutaneous fat, microspheres, gelatin sponge, thrombin or other substances. However, the above techniques have certain limitations and are not applicable in all scenarios. Our team has developed a range of innovative strategies for effectively managing CAP. This article provides an insightful review of the various tips and tricks for the treatment of CAP.

New pimarane diterpenoids with antibacterial activity from fungus Arthrinium ***03

A comprehensive chemical study of the endophytic fungus Arthrinium sp. ZS03, associated with Acorus tatarinowii Schott, yielded eleven pimarane diterpenoids (compounds 1–11), including seven novel compounds designated arthrinoids A–G (1–7). The determination of their structures and absolute configurations was achieved through extensive spectroscopic techniques, quantum chemical calculations of electronic circular dichroism (ECD), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Furthermore, 7 demonstrated inhibitory activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae, comparable to the reference antibiotic amikacin, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 8 μg·mL^(−1).

Background: Biliary mucinous cystic neoplasms(BMCNs) are rare hepatobiliary cystic tumors, which can be divided into noninvasive and invasive types. This study aimed to investigate the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of BMCNs in a large single center. Methods: We analyzed 49 patients with BMCNs confirmed by postoperative pathology at the first Afflliated hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine between January 2007 and December 2021. Results: Among the 49 patients, 37 were female(75.5%), and the average age was 57.04 years. Common symptoms included abdominal discomfort, jaundice and fever, while 22 patients(44.9%) had no symptoms. Serum carbohydrate antigen(CA) 19-9 and CA125 concentrations were elevated in 34.8% and 19.6% of patients, respectively. Forty-eight patients had tumors in the intrahepatic bile ducts and only one had a tumor in the extrahepatic bile duct. Forty-eight patients with noninvasive intrahepatic BMCNs were further analyzed in terms of pathological features: 34(70.8%) had low-grade intraepithelial neoplasms(LGINs), and 14(29.2%) had high-grade intraepithelial neoplasms(HGINs). The potential immunohistochemical markers of BMCNs were cytokeratin(CK) 19, CK7, estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor. Follow-up data for 37 patients with intrahepatic BMCNs were obtained. The median overall survival(OS) of BMCNs was not reached. The longest survival time was 137 *** 5-and 10-year OS rates were 100% and 85.4%, respectively. The 5-and 10-year recurrence-free survival(RFS) rates were 93.9% and 80.2%, respectively. Conclusions: BMCNs are rare cystic neoplasms that commonly occur in middle-aged females. BMCNs can only be diagnosed and classified by postoperative pathology, as there are no specific clinical presentations, serological indicators or imaging modalities for preoperative diagnosis. Complete surgical resection is necessary for BMCNs, and the postoperative prognosis is favorable.

This registration study assessed clinical outcomes of TQ-B3525,the dual phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)α/δinhibitor,in relapsed and/or refractory follicular lymphoma(R/R FL).This phase II study(*** *** March 27,2020)comprised run-in stage and stage 2.R/R FL patients after≥2 lines therapies received oral 20 mg TQ-B3525 once daily in a 28-day cycle until intolerable toxicity or disease *** endpoint was independent review committee(IRC)-assessed objective response rate(ORR).Based on results(ORR,88.0%;duration of response[DOR],11.8 months;progression-free survival[PFS],12.0 months)in 25 patients at run-in stage,second stage study was initiated and included 82 patients for efficacy/safety *** received prior-line(median,3)therapies,with 56.1%refractory to previous last therapies;73.2%experienced POD24 at *** stage 2,ORR was 86.6%(71/82;95%CI,77.3-93.1%),with 28(34.2%)complete *** control rate was 95.1%due to 7(8.5%)stable *** time to response was 1.8 *** 71 responders,median DOR was not reached;18-month DOR rate was 51.6%.with median follow-up of 13.3 months,median PFS was 18.5(95%CI,10.2-not estimable)*** overall survival(OS)was not reached by cutoff date;24-month OS rate was estimated as 86.1%.Response rates and survival data were consistent across all *** 3 or higher treatment-related adverse events were observed in 63(76.8%)cases,with neutropenia(22.0%),hyperglycemia(19.5%),and diarrhea(13.4%)being ***-B3525 showed favorable efficacy and safety for R/R FL patients after≥2 lines prior therapies.

Relative exchangeable copper, a high-quality biomarker for differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome in Wilson's disease

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of relative exchangeable copper(REC) in diagnosing Wilson's disease(WD) and to determine its significance in the differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) ***: A total of 78 patients with WD were recruited on the same day of the medical visit, and among them,32 were suffering from non-WD(N-WD) and 37 were heterozygous ATP7B carriers(HC) enrolled as *** genetic testing was performed for diagnosing WD and HC. Additionally, REC levels in different TCM syndromes were investigated. The correlation between REC and serum ceruloplasmin(Cp), serum copper oxidase(CO), and 24-h urinary copper was analyzed using the Global Assessment Scale and Unified Wilson's Disease Rating Scale and the significance of REC in WD diagnosis was investigated. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to assess the clinical symptoms of WD and analyze its severity in different TCM ***: REC determination helped in significantly distinguishing patients with N-WD or HC from those with WD with a cut-off of 21.15%. Furthermore, the comparative analysis of REC ratios among different TCM syndromes showed markedly high REC levels in the dampness-heat internal accumulation syndrome ***, the seed-based functional connectivity value from the putamen to the cerebellum was significantly correlated with TCM ***: REC level is a high-quality biomarker for diagnosing WD that effectively reflects disease severity and plays an essential role in deciding on treatment strategies and prognosis. Furthermore, REC levels are closely related to TCM syndromes in WD; thus, it is a potential objective quantitative indicator for distinguishing TCM syndromes in WD.

A prognosis model for predicting immunotherapy response of esophageal cancer based on oxidative stress-related signatures
