Treating articular cartilage defects in patients remains a challenging task due to the absence of blood vessels within the cartilage *** regenerative potential is further compromised by an imbalance between anabolism and catabolism,induced by elevated levels of reactive oxygen ***,the advent of tissue engineering introduces a promising strategy for cartilage regeneration,offering viable solutions such as mechanical support and controlled release of chondrogenic molecules or *** this study,we developed an antioxidant scaffold by incorporating natural silk fibroin(SF)and kartogenin(KGN)-loaded liposomes(SF-Lipo@KGN).The scaffold demonstrated appropriate pore size,connectivity,and water absorption and the sustained release of KGN was achieved through the encapsulation of *** vitro experiments revealed that the SF-Lipo@KGN scaffolds exhibited excellent biocompatibility,as evidenced by enhanced cell adhesion,migration,and proliferation of *** SF-Lipo@KGN scaffolds were found to stimulate cartilage matrix synthesis through the activation of the nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase-1 antioxidant signaling *** vivo experiments demonstrated the effective promotion of articular cartilage regeneration by the SF-Lipo@KGN scaffolds,which enhanced extracellular matrix anabolism and restored the intrinsic redox ***,this study successfully developed biomimetic KGN-loaded scaffolds that restore cartilage redox homeostasis,indicating promising prospects for cartilage tissue engineering.

Objective To investigate the effects of low dosage of β-elemene on the radiosensitivity of rabbit VX2 renal transplant carcinoma model. Methods We took the rabbit VX2 renal transplant carcinoma as the model. Experimental rabbits were divided into three groups: the control group, the radiation group, and the radiation +β-elemene (radiosensitivity) group. The change of tumor was observed by Spiral CT and B ultrasound to compare its regrowth period. The tumor was measured by light microscopy and electron microscopy. Results The tumor in radiosensitivity group was restrained obviously and the sensitization enhancement ratio (SER) of β-elemene was 1.89. Different apoptosis was observed under transmission electron microscopy. Conclusion Low dosage β-elemene can enhance the radiosensitivity of rabbit VX2 renal transplant carcinoma model and induce the apoptosis of tumor cells, but the mechanism needs further study. It promotes apoptosis in mechanisms in vitro.

Objective:To explore the clinical effect and safety of internal fixation of steel-wire limited loop in early Achilles tendon ***:Seventy-six patients respectively with early transected and avulsed types of Achilles tendon rupture were selected and treated with internal fixation of steel-wire limited *** patients began to take exercise for their lower limbs through continous passive motion as early as possible after surgical repair,and the loops were removed after 3-5 *** months later,the condition of complications including Achilles tendon re-rupture,wound fistula,wound infection and skin necrosis,cutaneous sensation in sural nerve dominance region,time back to preinjury work or learning as well as time to physical activities were *** year later,the therapeutic effect was evaluated,and the maximum circumferences of bilateral legs and raptured plane circumferences of Achilles tendon were ***:The wound of all patients healed well,no complications like Achilles tendon re-rupture,wound fistula,wound infection and skin necrosis occured,and the cutaneous sensation in sural nerve dominance region was *** mean time back to preinjury work or learning as well as to pysical activities of all patients were respectively 10 and 22 *** out of 76 patients(92.1%) achieved an excellent effect,and 6(7.9%) good *** excellent and good rate came up to 100%.The maximum circumference in the affected leg decreased to 2 mm averagely compared with the offside,while the ruptured plane circumferences of Achilles tendon in the affected side increased to 2.2 mm compared with the ***:Kor early Achilles tendon rupture,internal fixation of steel-wire limited loop can recover the ankle function better,return to the preinjury state in the shortest lime,and has few complications.
