Based on statistical mechanics for classical fluids,general expressions for hydrodynamic stress in inhomogeneous colloidal suspension are derived on a molecular *** result is exactly an extension of the Iving-Kirkwood stress for atom fluids to colloidal suspensions where dynamic correlation *** is found that besides the inter-particle distance,the obtained hydrodynamic stress depends closely on the velocity of the colloidal particles in the suspension,which is responsible for the appearance of the solvent-mediated hydrodynamic *** to Brady’s stresslets for the bulk stress,our results are applicable to inhomogeneous suspension,where the inhomogeneity and anisotropy of the dynamic correlation should be taken into *** the near-field regime where the packing fraction of colloidal particles is high,our results can reduce to those of ***,our results are applicable to the suspensions with low,moderate,or even high packing fraction of colloidal particles.

Plastic pollution is widely present in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems,and microplastics(MPs)can be detected in *** situ detection methods for MPs in organisms have attracted widespread *** imaging characterization methods of MPs,including stereo microscopes and fluorescence microscopy,are typically used to image artificially added microsphere standards under laboratory ***,they cannot specifically identify MPs in biological ***,there is a need for a detection technique that can provide spatial distribution information of MPs in biological samples as well as measure their quality and *** this perspective,to obtain high-resolution images with chemical composition analysis,we compared ion sources for ionizing plastic macromolecules and mass analyzers for analyzing ***-assisted laser desorption/ionization(MALDI)is suitable for imaging characterization,while time-of-flight(TOF)and Orbitrap mass spectrometry are suitable for polymer mass spectrometry ***,we propose a technique that combines MALDI with TOF or Orbitrap,which holds promise for the in situ imaging of MPs in biological samples.

The physiological process of breast-feeding should be encouraged under most circumstances despite the presence of trace amounts of environmentai toxins. The decision for the initiation and continuation of lactation must involve the expectant father, especially in the provision of knowledge by clinicians of the beneficiaI effects to infant and *** that growth patterns of breast-fed infants differ from formula-feeding is essential in the interpretation of toxicity and not an indicator to terminate *** studies demonstrate the importance of breast-feeding in providing protection against various diseases and decreasing the incidence of infant morbidity and *** material such as silicone or environmental toxins including organophosphate pesticides, chlorinated hydrocarbons, solvents, and heavy metals have been identified in human milk. Toxic manifestations were reported in suckling infants exposed to mammary chemicals. The observed adverse reactions were suggested to be due to either (I) a direct action of the chemical without any maternal dietary deficiency, (2) a combination of essential mother nutrient deficiency and excess toxicant in breast milk; or (3) the presence of several toxicants in human milk acting in conjunction as bioactivators or promoters of toxicity. In weighing the risks vs benefits of lactation there is a clear consensus that even in the presence of mammary toxicants, breast-feeding should be promoted and maintained

The purpose of this paper is to investigate reasonable cost benefit criteria within the framework of environmental formal safety assessment （FSA）. In this study a statistical analysis of oil spill data was carried out based on the report of International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds. According to the statistical study of actual oil spill from tankers, it is found that collisions and groundings are the most probable causes of the oil spills from tankers. Probability distributions of costs of oil spill and oil spill amount are investigated, and a non-linear regression formula between costs of oil spills and oil spill weight are derived. Using the regression formula, an oil spill weight dependent CATStm （Cost of Averting a Ton of oil Spilt） is proposed. Moreover in order to apply the weight dependent CATSthr to cost benefit analysis （CBA）, a new cost-effective criterion is newly proposed with considering its concrete application to environmental FSA.
