Stochastic computing(SC)has a substantial amount of study on application-specific integrated circuit(ASIC)design for artificial intelligence(AI)edge computing,especially t.e convolutional neural network(CNN)***,SC has litt.e to no optimization on field-programmable gate array(FPGA).Scaling up t.e ASIC logic without FPGA-oriented designs is inefficient,while aggregating thousands of bitst.eams is still challenging in t.e conventional *** research has reinvented several FPGA-efficient 8-bit SC CNN computing architectures,i.e.,SC multiplexer multiply-accumulate,multiply-accumulate function generator,and binary rectified linear unit,and successfully scaled and implemented a fully parallel CNN model on Kintex7 *** proposed SC hardware only compromises 0.14%accuracy compared to binary computing on t.e handwriting Modified National Institute of Standards and technology classification task and achieved at least 99.72%energy saving per image feedforward and 31?more data throughput than modern *** to SC,early decision termination pushed t.e performance baseline exponentially with minimum accuracy loss,making SC CNN ext.emely lucrative for AI edge computing but limited to classification *** SC's inherent noise heavily penalizes CNN regression performance,rendering SC unsuitable for regression tasks.

Following surface rupture observations in populated areas affected by t.e Kahramanmaraşearthquake(Mw 7.7)on February 6th,2023,along t.e Pazarcık segment of t.e east Anatolian Fault Zone(eAFZ),this study presents novel insights into physical criteria for delineating surface fault-rupture hazard zones(SRHZs)along ruptured strike-slip *** achieve this objective,three t.ench studies across t.e surface rupture were conducted on t.e Pazarcık segment of t.e eAFZ to collect field data,and earthquake recurrence intervals were interpreted using Bayesian statistics from previously conducted paleoseismological *** results of t.e proposed model indicate that t.e Pazarcık segment produced five significant surface-rupturing earthquakes in t.e last∼11 kyr:e1:11.13±1.74 kyr,e2:7.62±1.20 kyr,e3:5.34±1.05 kyr,e4:1.82±0.93 kyr,and e5:0.35±0.11 *** addition,t.e recurrence intervals of destructive earthquakes on t.e subject in question range from 0.6 kyr to 4.8 *** that t.e last significant.earthquake occurred in 1513,t.e longest time since t.e most recent surface fault rupturing earthquake on this particular segment was 511 *** results indicate that,in terms of t.e t.eoretical recurrence interval of earthquakes that can create surface ruptures on t.e Pazarcık segment,t.e period in which t.e February 6,2023,earthquake occurred was within t.e end of t.e expected return *** a result,t.e potential for a devastating earthquake in t.e near future is not foreseen on t.e same ***,t.e SRHZ proposed for t.e Pazarcık section of Gölbaşıvillage was calculated as a 61-meter-wide offset on t.e fault lineament to reduce t.e negativit.es that may occur in t.e ruptured area in t.e *** is recommended to take into account this width in t.e sett.ement of this area and nearby areas.

Antimicrobial Activity of Some Commercial toothpastes and Antibiotics on two Oral Pathogenic Bacteria—An in-Vitro Study

Oral health problems such as periodontal diseases, dental caries, and endodontic infections have a significant negative impact on oral health and impose a substantial financial burden on t.e global population. t.e prevalence of t.ese issues is increasing due to t.e buildup of bacterial plaque and t.e growing resistance of bacteria to antimicrobial t.eat.ents. t.e aims of this study to evaluate t.e anti-bacterial activity of four types of antibiotics (Amoxicillin, Augmentin, Azithromycin and Metronidazole) and four types of toothpastes (Sensodyne, ipana, denta and cariax Gingival Kin) on two oral pathogenic bacteria (St.eptococcus mutans and Staphylococcus epidermidis). Bacterial samples of previously isolated St.eptococcus mutans and Staphylococcusepidermidis were used as test organisms and t.e Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method was employed to assess t.e antibacterial efficacy of various antibiotics and evaluate t.e impact of different toothpastes using a filter paper disc agar measurement technique. each filter disc was saturated with toothpaste solution in a test tube for approximately 30 to 40 seconds, after which t.ey were placed on Mueller-Hinton broth bacterial cultures in petri dishes. t.ese Petri dishes were t.en incubated at 37°C for 24 hours, and t.e clear zone’s diameter (inhibition zone in mm) was subsequently measured and t.e results were recorded. t.e results demonstrated that Sensodyne toothpaste and Metronidazole antibiotic were ineffective against both types of bacteria, while Augmentin and Amoxicillin were effective by high diameter inhibition zones of growth against S. mutans and Azithromycine against S. epidermidis. Also Ipana, Denta, and Cariax Gingival Kin toothpastes exhibited a moderate effect against t.e two bacteria. this study suggests that certain antibiotics and toothpastes can effectively inhibit t.e growth of harmful oral bacteria, but not all of t.em are effective.

Bloch oscillations(BOs),an important transport phenomenon,have been studied extensively in static systems but remain mysterious in Floquet ***,by harnessing notions from photonic analogy,we propose a generalization of t.e existing BOs in photonic Floquet lattices,namely t.e“photonic Floquet–Bloch oscillations”,which refer to rescaled photonic Bloch oscillations with a period of extended least common multiple of t.e modulation period and t.e Bloch oscillation ***,we report t.e first visual observation of such photonic Floquet–Bloch oscillations(FBOs)by employing waveguide fluorescence *** significantly,t.e FBOs surpass t.e existing BOs in Floquet systems and exhibit.exotic propert.es on t.eir own,including fractal spectrum and fractional Floquet *** new transport mechanism offers an intriguing method of wave manipulation that may contribute to rapidly developing fields in photonics,condensed mat.er physics,and quantum physics.

Under optimal process conditions,pyrolysis of polyolefins can yield ca.90 wt%of liquid product,i.e.,combination of light oil fraction and heavier *** this work,t.e experimental findings reported in a selected group of publications concerning t.e non-catalytic pyrolysis of polyolefins were collected,reviewed,and compared with t.e ones obtained in a continuously operated bench-scale pyrolysis *** process parameters were used for t.e pyrolysis of waste and virgin counterparts of high-density polyethylene,low-density polyethylene,polypropylene and a defined mixture of those(i.e.,25:25:50 wt%,respectively).to mitigate temperature drops and enhance heat transfer,an increased feed intake is employed to create a hot melt plastic *** 1.5 g·min^(-1) feed intake,1.1 L·min^(-1) nitrogen flow rate,and a moderate pyrolysis temperature of 450℃,t.e formation of light hydrocarbons was favored,while wax formation was limited for polypropylene-rich *** of virgin plastics yielded more liquid(maximum 73.3 wt%)than that of waste plastics(maximum 66 wt%).Blending polyethylenes with polypropylene favored t.e production of liquids and increased t.e formation of gasoline-range *** products were mainly composed of C3 hydrocarbons,and no hydrogen production was detected due to moderate pyrolysis temperature.

A New equalization Method for Lithium-Ion Bat.ery Packs Based on CUK

Aiming at t.e traditional CUK equalizer can only perform energy equalization bet.een adjacent bat.eries,if t.e two single bat.eries that need to be equalized are far away from each ot.er,t.ere will be t.e problem of longer energy transmission path and lower equalization efficiency,this paper optimizes t.e CUK equalizer and optimizes its peripheral selection circuit,which can support t.e equalization of single bat.eries at any two *** control strategy adopts t.e open-circuit voltage(OVC)of t.e bat.ery and t.e state of charge(SOC)of t.e bat.ery as t.e equalization variables,and selects t.e corresponding equalization variables according to t.e energy conditions of t.e two bat.eries that need to be equalized,and generates t.e adaptive equalization current with an adaptive PID controller in order to improve t.e equalization *** modeling is performed in Matlab/Simulink 2021b,and t.e experimental results show that t.e optimized CUK equalizer in this paper improves t.e equalization time by 25.58%compared with t.e traditional CUK *** addition,compared with t.e mean value difference(MVD)method,t.e adaptive PID method reduces t.e equalization time by about 30%in t.e static and charging and discharging experimental environments,which verifies t.e superiority of this equalization scheme.

Analog feature extraction(AFe)is an appealing strategy for low-latency and efficient cognitive sensing systems since key features are much sparser than t.e Nyquist-sampled ***,applying AFe to broadband radio-frequency(RF)scenarios is challenging due to t.e bandwidth and programmability bott.enecks of analog electronic ***,we introduce a photonics-based scheme that.extracts spatiotemporal features from broadband RF signals in t.e analog *** feature extractor structure inspired by convolutional neural networks is implemented on integrated photonic circuits to process RF signals from multiple antennas,extracting valid features from both temporal and spatial *** of t.e tunability of t.e photonic devices,t.e photonic spatiotemporal feature extractor is trainable,which enhances t.e validity of t.e extracted ***,a digital-analog-hybrid transfer learning method is proposed for t.e effective and low-cost training of t.e photonic feature *** validate our scheme,we demonstrate a radar target recognition task with a 4-GHz instantaneous *** results indicate that t.e photonic analog feature extractor tackles broadband RF signals and reduces t.e sampling rate of analog-to-digital converters to 1/4 of t.e Nyquist sampling while maintaining a high target recognition accuracy of 97.5%.Our scheme offers a promising path for exploiting t.e AFe strategy in t.e realm of cognitive RF sensing,with t.e potential to contribute to t.e efficient signal processing involved in applications such as autonomous driving,robotics,and smart factories.

We present a novel approach for Stimulated Raman Scat.ering(SRS)spectroscopy in which a hyper spectral resolution and high-speed spectral acquisition are achieved by employing amplified offset-phase controlled fs-pulse *** investigate t.e method by solving t.e coupled non-linear Schrödinger equations and validate it by numerically characterizing SRS in molecular nitrogen as a model *** spectral resolution of t.e method is found to be determined by t.e inverse product of t.e number of pulses in t.e burst and t.e intraburst pulse *** SRS spectrum is obtained through a motion-free scanning of t.e offset phase that results in a sweep of t.e Raman-shift *** to high spectral resolution and fast motion-free scanning t.e technique is beneficial for a number SRS-based applications such as gas sensing and chemical analysis.
