In radiology,magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is an essential diagnostic tool that provides detailed images of a patient’s anatomical and physiological *** is particularly effective for detecting soft tissue ***,radiologists manually interpret these images,which can be labor-intensive and time-consuming due to the vast amount of *** address this challenge,machine learning,and deep learning approaches can be utilized to improve the accuracy and efficiency of anomaly detection in MRI *** manuscript presents the use of the Deep AlexNet50 model for MRI classification with discriminative learning *** are three stages for learning;in the first stage,the whole dataset is used to learn the *** the second stage,some layers of AlexNet50 are frozen with an augmented dataset,and in the third stage,AlexNet50 with an augmented dataset with the augmented *** method used three publicly available MRI classification datasets:Harvard whole brain atlas(HWBA-dataset),the School of Biomedical Engineering of Southern Medical University(SMU-dataset),and The National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospitals brain MRI dataset(NINS-dataset)for *** hyperparameter optimizers like Adam,stochastic gradient descent(SGD),Root mean square propagation(RMS prop),Adamax,and AdamW have been used to compare the performance of the learning ***-dataset registers maximum classification *** evaluated the performance of the proposed classification model using several quantitative metrics,achieving an average accuracy of 98%.

Induced neural stem cells regulate microglial activation through Akt-mediated upregulation of CXCR4 and Crry in a mouse model of closed head injury

Microglial activation that occurs rapidly after closed head injury may play important and complex roles in neuroinflammation-associated neuronal damage and *** previously reported that induced neural stem cells can modulate the behavior of activated microglia via CXCL12/CXCR4 signaling,influencing their activation such that they can promote neurological ***,the mechanism of CXCR4 upregulation in induced neural stem cells remains *** this study,we found that nuclear factor-κB activation induced by closed head injury mouse serum in microglia promoted CXCL12 and tumor necrosis factor-αexpression but suppressed insulin-like growth factor-1 ***,recombinant complement receptor 2-conjugated Crry(CR2-Crry)reduced the effects of closed head injury mouse serum-induced nuclear factor-κB activation in microglia and the levels of activated microglia,CXCL12,and tumor necrosis factor-α.Additionally,we observed that,in response to stimulation(including stimulation by CXCL12 secreted by activated microglia),CXCR4 and Crry levels can be upregulated in induced neural stem cells via the interplay among CXCL12/CXCR4,Crry,and Akt signaling to modulate microglial *** agreement with these in vitro experimental results,we found that Akt activation enhanced the immunoregulatory effects of induced neural stem cell grafts on microglial activation,leading to the promotion of neurological recovery via insulin-like growth factor-1 secretion and the neuroprotective effects of induced neural stem cell grafts through CXCR4 and Crry upregulation in the injured cortices of closed head injury ***,these beneficial effects of Akt activation in induced neural stem cells were positively correlated with the therapeutic effects of induced neural stem cells on neuronal injury,cerebral edema,and neurological disorders post–closed head *** conclusion,our findings reveal that Akt activation may enhance the immunoregulatory effects of induced neura

Merging bound states in the continuum in an open acoustic resonator

Bound states in the continuum （BICs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIC is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BICs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIC and Friedrich-Wintgen BIC are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BICs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIC,the merged BIC is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BICs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of Fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

Transition metal sulfides have great potential as anode mterials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to their high theoretical specific ***,the inferior intrinsic conductivity and large volume variation during sodiation-desodiation processes seriously affect its high-rate and long-cyde performance,unbeneficial for the application as fast-charging and long-cycling SIBs ***,the three-dimensional porous Cu_(1.81)S/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks(Cu_(1.81)S/NC)are synthesized by the simple and facile sol-gel and annealing processes,which can accommodate the volumetric expansion of Cu_(1.81)S nanoparticles and accelerate the transmission of ions and electrons during Na^(+)insertion/extraction processes,exhibiting the excellent rate capability(250.6 mA·g^(-1)at 20.0 A·g^(-1))and outstanding cycling stability(70% capacity retention for 6000 cycles at 10.0 A·g^(-1))for ***,the Na-ion full cells coupled with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode also demonstrate the satisfactory reversible specific capacity of 330.5 mAh·g^(-1)at 5.0 A·g^(-1)and long-cycle performance with the 86.9% capacity retention at 2.0 A·g^(-1)after 750 *** work proposes a promising way for the conversionbased metal sulfides for the applications as fast-charging sodium-ion battery anode.

Blockchain-Based Certificateless Cross-Domain Authentication Scheme in the Industrial Internet of Things

The Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)consists of massive devices in different management domains,and the lack of trust among cross-domain entities leads to risks of data security and privacy leakage during information *** address the above challenges,a viable solution that combines Certificateless Public Key Cryptography(CL-PKC)with blockchain technology can be ***,as many existing schemes rely on a single Key Generation Center(KGC),they are prone to problems such as single points of failure and high computational *** this case,this paper proposes a novel blockchain-based certificateless cross-domain authentication scheme,that integrates the threshold secret sharing mechanism without a trusted center,meanwhile,adopts blockchain technology to enable cross-domain entities to authenticate with each other and to negotiate session keys *** scheme also supports the dynamic joining and removing of multiple KGCs,ensuring secure and efficient cross-domain authentication and key *** analysiswith other protocols demonstrates that the proposed cross-domain authentication protocol can achieve high security with relatively lowcomputational ***,this paper evaluates the scheme based on Hyperledger Fabric blockchain environment and simulates the performance of the certificateless scheme under different threshold parameters,and the simulation results show that the scheme has high performance.

Auroral Kilometric Radiation(AKR)is a common radio emission,which can contribute to the magnetosphere−ionosphere−atmosphere *** emissions have been observed in all magnetic planet magnetospheres of the solar *** this study,using observations from the FAST satellite from 30 August 1996 to 9 September 2001,the distribution of AKR in altitude=500−4500 km and invariant latitude(|ILAT|)=60°−80°has been analyzed.63045 AKR samples have been identified with~48%(52%)samples on the dayside(nightside).Of considerable interest,there is a distinct MLT asymmetry with the high occurrence rate in MLT=05−08 and 18−22(02−05 and 12−17)in the northern(southern)*** distinct MLT asymmetry is associated with the direction of Bxof the interplanetary magnetic *** addition,the occurrence rate on the nightside clearly increases as the index *** study further enriches *** and understanding of AKR in the magnetosphere as well as other similar radio emissions.

Improving the intensity and efficiency of compressed echo in rare-earth-ion-doped crystal

We investigate the intensity and efficiency of a compressed echo, which is important in arbitrary waveform generation（AWG）. A new model of compressed echo is proposed based on the optical Bloch equations, which exposes much more detailed parameters than the conventional model, such as the time delay of the chirp lasers, the nature of the rare-earth-iondoped crystal, etc. According to the novel model of compressed echo, we find that reducing the time delay of the chirp lasers and scanning the lasers around the center frequency of the inhomogeneously broadened spectrum, while utilizing a crystal with larger coherence time and excitation lifetime can improve the compressed echo＇s intensity and efficiency. The theoretical analysis is validated by numerical simulations.

Multi-baseline phase unwrapping algorithm for INSAR

A novel multi-baseline phase unwrapping algorithm based on the unscented particle filter for interferometric synthetic aperture radar （INSAR） technology application is proposed. The proposed method is not constrained by the nonlinearity of the problem and is independent of noise statistics, and performs noise eliminating and phase unwrapping at the same time by combining with an unscented particle filter with a path-following strategy and an omni-directional local phase slope estimator. Results obtained from multi-baseline synthetic data and single-baseline real data show the performance of the proposed method.

Enhanced multi-baseline unscented Kalman filtering phase unwrapping algorithm

This paper presents an enhanced multi-baseline phase unwrapping algorithm by combining an unscented Kalman filter with an enhanced joint phase gradient estimator based on the amended matrix pencil model, and an optimal path-following strategy based on phase quality estimate function. The enhanced joint phase gradient estimator can accurately and effectively extract the phase gradient information of wrapped pixels from noisy interferograms, which greatly increases the performances of the proposed method. The optimal path-following strategy ensures that the proposed algorithm simultaneously performs noise suppression and phase unwrapping along the pixels with high-reliance to the pixels with low-reliance. Accordingly, the proposed algorithm can be predicted to obtain better results, with respect to some other algorithms, as will be demonstrated by the results obtained from synthetic data.
