This work takes advantage of synergetic control theory and fractional calculus to develop and propose fractional synergetic control(FSC)strategy for Four degrees of Freedom(4-DOF)robot *** proposed fractional synergetic control is designed to track a joint space as well as workspace desired *** calculus gives more flexibility in the design since it has a wider stability *** to that,as stated in the literature,compared to a similar approach such as sliding mode control,the synergetic control approach converges faster to the equilibrium point,without chattering with a fast *** paper proposes a new control strategy that takes advantage of fractional calculus and synergetic control *** proposed control strategy is tested experimentally on a 4-DOF manipulator to study the performance of the proposed control *** stability of the closed-loop system is proved using the Lyapunov *** experimental results have shown that the proposed FSC design has achieved a good tracking performance.

Reactive power optimization of distribution networks is traditionally addressed by physical model based methods,which often lead to locally optimal solutions and require heavy online inference time *** improve the quality of the solution and reduce the inference time burden,this paper proposes a new graph attention networks based method to directly map the complex nonlinear relationship between graphs(topology and power loads)and reactive power scheduling schemes of distribution networks,from a data-driven *** graph attention network is tailored specifically to this problem and incorporates several innovative features such as a self-loop in the adjacency matrix,a customized loss function,and the use of max-pooling ***,a rulebased strategy is proposed to adjust infeasible solutions that violate *** results on multiple distribution networks demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms other machine learning based methods in terms of the solution quality and robustness to varying load ***,its online inference time is significantly faster than traditional physical model based methods,particularly for large-scale distribution networks.

The ever-increasing demand for training and inferring with larger machine-learning models requires more efficient hardware solutions due to limitations such as power dissipation and *** is a promising contender for providing lower power computation,since light propagation through a nonabsorbing medium is a lossless ***,to carry out useful and efficient computations with light,generating and controlling nonlinearity optically is a necessity that is still *** fibers(MMFs)have been shown that they can provide nonlinear effects with microwatts of average power while maintaining parallelism and low *** propose an optical neural network architecture that performs nonlinear optical computation by controlling the propagation of ultrashort pulses in MMF by wavefront *** a surrogate model,optimal sets of parameters are found to program this optical computer for different tasks with minimal utilization of an electronic *** show a remarkable decrease of 97%in the number of model parameters,which leads to an overall 99%digital operation reduction compared to an equivalently performing digital neural *** further demonstrate that a fully optical implementation can also be performed with competitive accuracies.

Condition monitoring of the insulating system within power transformers has a massive importance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is frequently used for this ***,DGA lacks the necessary level of accuracy to identify all equipment faults,particularly in their initial stages of ***,it does not have the capability for real-time monitoring and relies on manual sampling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in fault ***,the interpretation of DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which may pose difficulties for smaller entities that have limited access to ***,the contribution of this research is to use infrared spectroscopy measurements as a new effective technique substituting the DGA method for fault diagnosis in insulating *** inception faults that were considered in this study were the electrical fault(discharges of high energy)and the thermal fault(300°Cde the laboratory for both types of inception ***,six samples of pure paraffinic mineral oil were taken to be degraded in the *** that,all of them besides another sample that were not subjected to any kind of faults were taken to be examined by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of the oil's behaviour in each fault *** that,the FTIR analysis was initially verified utilising the DGA ***,for further affirmation,the dielectric dissipation factor(DDF)for all samples was *** the final analysis,the verification tests provide experimental evidence about the outperformance of this new optical technique in detecting the transformer's inception faults in addition to proving its potential for being a superior alternative to the well-known traditional diagnostic techniques.

Hot dry rock(HDR)is rich in reserve,widely distributed,green,low-carbon,and has broad development potential and *** this paper,a distributionally robust optimization(DRO)scheduling model for a regionally integrated energy system(RIES)considering HDR co-generation is ***,the HDR-enhanced geothermal system(HDR-EGS)is introduced into the ***-EGS realizes the thermoelectric decoupling of combined heat and power(CHP)through coordinated operation with the regional power grid and the regional heat grid,which enhances the system wind power(WP)feed-in ***,peak-hour loads are shifted using price demand response guidance in the context of time-of-day ***,the optimization objective is established to minimize the total cost in the RIES scheduling cycle and construct a DRO scheduling model for RIES with *** simulating a real small-scale RIES,the results show that HDR-EGS can effectively promote WP consumption and reduce the operating cost of the system.

A transformer is an essential but expensive power delivery equipment for a distribution *** many distribution utilities worldwide,a sizable percentage of transformers are near the end of their designed *** the same time,distribution utilities are adopting smart inverter-based distributed solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems to maximize renewable *** central objective of this paper is to propose a methodology to quantify the effect of smart inverter-based distributed SPV systems on the aging of distribution *** proposed method is first tested on a modified IEEE-123 node distribution *** that,the procedure is applied to a practical distribution system,i.e.,the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT)Roorkee campus,*** transformer aging models,alongside advanced control functionalities of grid-tied smart inverter-based SPV systems,are implemented in *** open-source simulation tool(OpenDSS)is used to model distribution *** analyze effectiveness of various inverter functionalities,time-series simulations are performed using exponential load models,considering daily load curves from multiple seasons,load types,current harmonics,*** show replacing a traditional inverter with a smart inverter-based SPV system can enable local reactive power generation and may extend the life of a distribution *** results demonstrate,simply by incorporating smart inverter-based SPV systems,transformer aging is reduced by 15%to 22%in comparison to SPV systems operating with traditional inverters.
