Thinned array antenna synthesis using modified binary particle swarm optimization with minimization of sidelobes

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to propose radiating system by avoiding electromagnetic interference in unwanted directions and to radiate the energy in the required direction with an optimization technique.Design/methodology/approach-Practically,multiple,incompatible variables require concurrent boost on a synthesis of systematic antenna assemblage.The authors have worked out the main statistic penalty function to ensure all the restrictions.Here,MBPSO(Modified Binary Particle Swarm Optimization)is developed and introduced thin planar synthesis restriction.The sigmoid function is used to update the particle position.Different analytical demonstrations have been carried out,and the exhibited methods are predominant than the algorithms.Findings-A 20310 planar antenna array is synthesized using modified BPSO.The authors have suppressed the PSLL in two principal planes and as well as in the entire f plane.Numerical results state that MBPSO outperforms the other binary BPSO,BCSO,ACO,RGA,GAoptimization techniques.MBPSO achieved a51.84 dB PSLL level,whereas BPSO achieved48.57 dB with the same 50%thinning.Originality/value-Planar array antenna formation is one of the most complex syntheses because the array gets filled with more antenna elements.The machine-like complication and implementation of such an antenna arrangement with a broad opening would be expensive.It is not easy to control the required radiation patterns shape by using a uniform feeding network.To get better flexibility for sustaining the sidelobe levelheaded along with consistent amplitude distribution.So as far as prominence has been given to the evolutionary algorithm,find an ideal solution for objective array combinational problems.

Rapid growth in the transfer of multimedia information over the Internet requires algorithms to retrieve a queried image from large image database repositories.The proposed content-based image retrieval(CBIR)uses Gaussian-Hermite moments as the low-level features.Later these features are compressed with principal component analysis.The compressed feature set is multiplied with the weight matrix array,which has the same size as the feature vector.Hybrid firefly and grey wolf optimization(FAGWO)is used to prevent the premature convergence of optimization in the firefly algorithm.The retrieval of images in CBIR is carried out in an OpenCV python environment with K-nearest neighbours and random forest algorithm classifiers.The fitness function for FAGWO is the accuracyof the classifier.The FAGWO algorithm derives the optimum weights from a randomlygenerated initial population.When these optimized weights are applied,the proposed algorithm shows better precision/recall and efficiency than other techniques such as exact legendre moments,Region-based image retrieval,K-means clustering and Color descriptor wavelet-based texture descriptor retrieval technique.In terms of optimization,hybrid FAGWO outperformed various optimization techniques(when used alone)like Particle Swarm Optmization,Genetic Algorithm,Grey-Wolf Optimization and FireFly algorithm.

As huge users are involved,there is a difficulty in spectrum allocation and scheduling in Cognitive Radio Networks(CRNs).Collision increases when there is no allocation of spectrum and these results in huge drop rate and network performance degradation.To solve these problems and allocate appropriate spectrum,a novel method is introduced termed as Quality of Service(QoS)Improvement Proper Scheduling(QIPS).The major contribution of the work is to design a new cross layer QoS Aware Scheduling based on Loss-based Proportional Fairness with Multihop(QoSAS-LBPFM).In Medium Access Control(MAC)multi-channel network environment mobile nodes practice concurrent broadcast between several channels.Acquiring the advantage of introduced cross layer design,the real-time channel conditions offered by Cognitive Radio(CR)function allows adaptive sub channel choice for every broadcast.To optimize the resources of network,the LBPFM adaptively plans the radio resources for allocating to diverse services without lessening the quality of service.Results obtained from simulation proved that QoSAS-LBPFM provides enhanced QoS guaranteed performance against other existing QIPS algorithm.

Detection and Classification of Diabetic Retinopathy Using DCNN and BSN Models

Diabetes is associated with many complications that could lead to death.Diabetic retinopathy,a complication of diabetes,is difficult to diagnose and may lead to vision loss.Visual identification of micro features in fundus images for the diagnosis of DR is a complex and challenging task for clinicians.Because clinical testing involves complex procedures and is timeconsuming,an automated system would help ophthalmologists to detect DR and administer treatment in a timelymanner so that blindness can be avoided.Previous research works have focused on image processing algorithms,or neural networks,or signal processing techniques alone to detect diabetic retinopathy.Therefore,we aimed to develop a novel integrated approach to increase the accuracy of detection.This approach utilized both convolutional neural networks and signal processing techniques.In this proposed method,the biological electro retinogram(ERG)sensor network(BSN)and deep convolution neural network(DCNN)were developed to detect and classify DR.In the BSN system,electrodes were used to record ERGsignal,which was preprocessed to be noise-free.Processing was performed in the frequency domain by the application of fast Fourier transform(FFT)and mel frequency cepstral coefficients(MFCCs)were extracted.Artificial neural network(ANN)classifier was used to classify the signals of eyes with DR and normal eye.Additionally,fundus images were captured using a fundus camera,and these were used as the input for DCNN-based analysis.The DCNN consisted of many layers to facilitate the extraction of features and classification of fundus images into normal images,non-proliferative DR(NPDR)or earlystage DR images,and proliferative DR(PDR)or advanced-stage DR images.Furthermore,it classifiedNPDRaccording tomicroaneurysms,hemorrhages,cotton wool spots,and exudates,and the presence of new blood vessels indicated PDR.The accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity of the ANNclassifier were found to be 94%,95%,and 93%,respectively.Both the accuracy rate and sensitivity rate of theDCN

In this Letter, we numerically simulate the generation of a 1–15 μm mid-infrared supercontinuum（SC） from a highly nonlinear Ge_（11.5）As24Se_（64.5）-based photonic crystal fiber（PCF）. This ultra-broadband SC is achieved in a100 mm long PCF pumped using 85 fs laser pulses operated at 3.1 μm and a peak pulse power of 3 k W. The proposed design offers a flat dispersion profile with two zero dispersion wavelengths. This broad and flat dispersion profile of the Ge_（11.5）As24Se_（64.5）PCF, combined with the high nonlinearity（2474 W-1km-1）, generates an ultra-broadband SC.

A photoluminescence study of plasma reactive ion etching-induced damage in GaN

GaN films with reactive ion etching （RIE） induced damage were analyzed using photoluminescence （PL）. We observed band-edge as well as donor-acceptor peaks with associated phonon replicas, all in agreement with previous studies. While both the control and damaged samples have their band-edge peak location change with temperature following the Varshni formula, its intensity however decreases with damage while the D-A peak increases considerably. Nitrogen post-etch plasma was shown to improve the band edge peak and decrease the D-A peak. This suggests that the N2 plasma has helped reduce the number of trapped carriers that were participating in the D-A transition and made the D°X transition more active, which reaffirms the N2 post-etch plasma treatment as a good technique to heal the GaN surface, most likely by filling the nitrogen vacancies previously created by etch damage.

In the digital era,the Narrowband Internet of Things(Nb-IoT)inﬂu-ences the massive Machine-Type-Communication(mMTC)features to establish secure routing among the 5G/6G mobile networks.It supports global coverage to the low-cost IoT devices distributed in terrestrial networks.Its key trafﬁc char-acteristics include robust uplink,moderate data rate/device,extremely high energy efﬁciency,prolonging device lifetime,and Quality of Service(QoS).This paper proposes a Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)combined software-deﬁned air interface algorithm applied on the switching system,satisfying the user require-ment and enabling them with the network resources to extend quality of service by choosing the most appropriate quality of service metric.In this framework,Non-Orthogonal Multiple Accesses(NOMA)and Rate-Splitting Multiple Access(RSMA)are combined to accommodate massive(Nb-IoT)devices that can be uti-lized the entire resource(frequency band)for tackling the unknown dynamics pro-hibitive.The proposed algorithm instantly assigns the network resources per user requirements and enhances selecting the best quality of service metric optimiza-tion.Therefore,it has potential beneﬁts of high scalability,low latency,energy efﬁciency,and spectrum utility.

Optimization of Out-of-Band Emission Using Kaiser-Bessel Filter for UFMC in 5G Cellular Communications

Across the world, we are currently witnessing the deployments of 4 G LTE-Advanced and the 5 G research is reaching its peak point. The 5 G research mainly concentrates on addressing some of the existing OFDM based LTE problems along with use of non-contiguous fragmented spectrum. Universal Filtered Multi Carrier(UFMC) has been considered as one of the candidate waveform for the 5 G communications because it provides robustness against the Inter Symbol Interference(ISI), and Inter Carrier Interference(ICI) and is suitable for low latency scenarios. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to use Kaiser-Bessel filter based pulse shaping instead of standard Dolph-Chebyshev filter for UFMC based waveform to reduce the spectral leakage into nearby sub-bands. In this paper, UFMC system is simulated using MATLAB software, a comparative study for Dolph-Chebyshev and Kaiser-Bessel filters are performed and the results are also presented in terms of power spectrum density(PSD) analysis, Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function(CCDF) analysis, and Adjacent Channel Power Ratio(ACPR) analysis. The simulated results show a better power spectral density and lower sidebands for UFMC(Kaiser Based window), when compared with UFMC(Dolph-Chebyshev) and conventional OFDM.

本文介绍了一种新的估计算法,用于处理较为普遍的海底问题,即鱼雷跟踪问题。该方法仅使用角度测量,与现有滤波器相比效果更好。借助简单的噪声优化法(如最大似然滤波法或其他相类似的算法),新算法通过传统非线性方法产生的输出结果产生更好的估计值。引入的方法可以两种方式扩展到更高版本。第一种方法通过增强中间滤波器的计数来提取更好的估计值和协方差,第二种方法则是接受更多的输入以便在不增强中间滤波器计数的情况下获得性能的改进。进一步提取拖曳阵列传感器位置以改善算法性能的方法是将瞄准线和拖曳阵列相垂直。通过将所有权转移到减少范围的方向,结果可以变得更好。所有结果均在MATLAB中验证。
