A series of orange-red light emitting Ca_(2)MgSi_(2)O_(7):Sm^(3+)nanopowders were fabricated via low-cost ecofriendly green combustion technique using Aloe vera gel as *** phase purity of the samples were confirmed by the powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)*** single-phase tetragonal structure is observed from the PXRD results with no additional impurity *** band gap energy of the fabricated powders was estimated by diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS)and is found to be in the range of 4.01-5.98 eV.A high resolution scanning electron microscope(SEM)was used to study the morphological behaviour of the ***-like structures are observed from the SEM *** particle size was evaluated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and is found to be~50 *** interplanar distance is found to be 0.53 *** properties were systematically studied in *** phosphors are successfully excited at 403 nm NUV light,producing reddish-orange characteristic *** emission peaks are centered at 558(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(5/2)),607(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(7/2))and 645 nm(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(9/2)),*** the observed peaks the red emanation(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(7/2))is stronger than the orange emission(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(5/2))in the current *** photoluminescent concentration quenching is noticed above 5 mol%Sm^(3+)ion doping *** dipole-dipole interaction resulting in cross relaxation is found to be the principal cause of concentration quenching *** color features such as Commission Internationale de I’Eclairage(CIE)and correlated color temperature(CCT)were studied in *** optimized chromaticity coordinates were estimated to be(0.6363,0.3632),which fall in the reddish-orange *** average CCT value obtained is 3362 *** average color purity is found to be~82%.Sm^(3+)incorporated Ca_(2)MgSi_(2)O_(7) samples are possible contender for single white light generation commercial candidates owing to

Analyzing the Interplay of Sintering Conditions on Microstructure and Hardness in Indirect Additive Manufacturing of 17-4PH Stainless Steel

Indirect additive manufacturing(AM)methods have recently attracted attention from researchers thanks to their great potential for cheap,straightforward,and small-scale production of metallic *** diffusion additive manufacturing(ADAM),a variant of indirect AM methods,is a layer-wise indirect AM process recently developed based on fused deposition modeling and metal injection ***,there is still limited knowledge of the process conditions and material properties fabricated through this process,where sintering plays a crucial role in the final consolidation of ***,this research,for the first time,systematically investigates the impact of various sintering conditions on the shrinkage,relative density,microstructure,and hardness of the 17-4PH ADAM *** this reason,as-washed samples were sintered under different time-temperature *** sample density was evaluated using Archimedes,computed tomography,and image analysis *** outcomes revealed that sintering variables significantly impacted the density of brown 17-4PH Stainless Steel *** results indicated more than 99% relative densities,higher than the value reported by Markforged Inc.(~96%).Based on parallel porosities observed in the computed tomography results,it can be suggested that by modifying the infill pattern during printing,it would be possible to increase the final relative *** microhardness of the sintered samples in this study was higher than that of the standard sample provided by Markforged *** at 1330℃ for 4 h increased the density of the printed sample without compromising its mechanical *** to X-ray diffraction analysis,the standard sample provided by Markforged ***“1330℃—4 h”one had similar stable phases,although copper-rich intermetallics were more abundant in the microstructure of reference *** study is expected to facilitate the adoption of indirect metal AM methods by different sector

The construction industry is recognised to pose serious environmental threats due to its anthropogenic *** confront this challenge,green building has been famed as an auspicious strategy to alleviate energy-related carbon emissions alongside climate change ***,it has birthed diverse empirical studies and holistic reviews by the research ***,these previous studies have been carried out from a global and continental viewpoint regardless of the green building development specifically in emerging *** present study seeks to fill the sparse research upshots on the synthesis of green building research at the country level with core focus on South *** this light,the current study provides a scoping overview of the intellectual exploration on green building research in the South African *** study’s findings highlight the varying growth regarding the subject matter,the drivers,drawbacks,and socio-economic issues confronting in developing green building projects in the *** optimize the advancement of green building in the region,this study recommends the implementation of financing schemes,utilization of advanced digital technologies,and promotion of green and sustainable building curricula across the institutions as well as post-occupancy-related studies within the green building spectrum towards a safe and salutogenic built-environment in the country.

A Two-stage Service-oriented Task Offloading Framework with Edge-cloud Collaboration:A Game Theory Approach

With the fast development of Mobile Internet,data traffic generated by end devices is anticipated to witness substantial growth in the future ***,processing tasks locally will cause latency due to the limited resources of the end ***-cloud collaboration,an effective solution for latency-sensitive applications,is attracting greater attention from both industry and *** combines the advantages of the cloud center with abundant computing resources and edge nodes with low-latency *** this paper,we propose a two-stage task offloading framework with edge-cloud collaboration to assist end devices processing latency-sensitive tasks either on the edge servers or in the cloud *** for homogeneous task offloading,in the first stage,the competitive end devices offload tasks to the edge *** formulate the selfish task offloading problem among end devices as a potential *** the second stage,the edge nodes request resources from the cloud center to process end devices tasks due to their limited ***,we consider the heterogeneous task offloading problem and use intelligent optimization algorithm to obtain the optimal offloading *** results show that the service prices of edge nodes influence the decisions and task offloading costs of end *** also verify the intelligent optimization algorithm can achieve optimal performance with low complexity and fast convergence.

Amend:An integrated platform of retracted papers and concerned papers

Purpose:The notable increase in retraction papers has attracted considerable attention from diverse *** sources are now offering information related to research integrity,including concerns voiced on social media,disclosed lists of paper mills,and retraction notices accessible through journal ***,despite the availability of such resources,there remains a lack of a unified platform to consolidate this information,thereby hindering efficient searching and ***,it is imperative to develop a comprehensive platform for retracted papers and related *** article aims to introduce“Amend,”a platform designed to integrate information on research integrity from diverse ***/methodology/approach:The Amend platform consolidates concerns and lists of problematic articles sourced from social media platforms(e.g.,PubPeer,For Better Science),retraction notices from journal websites,and citation databases(e.g.,Web of Science,CrossRef).Moreover,Amend includes investigation and punishment announcements released by administrative agencies(e.g.,NSFC,MOE,MOST,CAS).Each related paper is marked and can be traced back to its information source via a provided ***,the Amend database incorporates various attributes of retracted articles,including citation topics,funding details,open access status,and *** reasons for retraction are identified and classified as either academic misconduct or honest errors,with detailed subcategories provided for further ***:Within the Amend platform,a total of 32,515 retracted papers indexed in SCI,SSCI,and ESCI between 1980 and 2023 were *** these,26,620(81.87%)were associated with academic *** retraction rate stands at 6.64 per 10,000 ***,the retraction rate for non-gold open access articles significantly differs from that for gold open access articles,with this disparity progressively widening over the ***,the reasons

Reducing Social Media Attention Inequality in disasters: The Role of Official Media During Rainstorm disasters in China

Unequal social media attention can lead to potentially uneven distribution of disaster-relief funds, resulting in long-term inequality among regions after disasters. This study aimed to measure inequalities in social media attention to regions during disasters and explore the role of official media in reducing such inequality. This is performed by employing social media,official media, and official aggregated statistics regarding China's rainstorm disasters. Through a set of panel-data regressions and robustness tests, three main conclusions were drawn:(1) There were inequalities among regions regarding social media attention they received during rainstorm disasters. For disasters of the same magnitude, regions with low economic outcome per capita received less attention on social media.(2) Official media can reduce inequality in social media attention during disasters. Official media statements can encourage netizens to pay attention to disaster-stricken areas, and especially the overlooked underdeveloped areas.(3) Of all the measures taken by official media, timely, accurate, and open disclosure of disaster occurrences proved to be the most potent means of leveling the playing field in terms of social media attention;contrarily, promotional or booster-type messages proved futile in this regard. These findings revealed the vulnerabilities within social media landscapes that aff ect disaster relief response, shedding light on the role of official guidance in mitigating inequalities in social media attention during such crises. Our study advises social media stakeholders and policymakers on formulating more equitable crisis communication strategies to bridge the gap in social media attention and foster a more balanced and just relief process.

Technological advancements in unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have revolutionized various industries,enabling the widespread adoption of UAV-based *** engineering management,UAV-based inspection has emerged as a highly efficient method for identifying hidden risks in high-risk construction environments,surpassing traditional inspection *** on this foundation,this paper delves into the optimization of UAV inspection routing and scheduling,addressing the complexity introduced by factors such as no-fly zones,monitoring-interval time windows,and multiple monitoring *** tackle this challenging problem,we propose a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP)model that optimizes inspection task assignments,monitoring sequence schedules,and charging *** comprehensive consideration of these factors differentiates our problem from conventional vehicle routing problem(VRP),leading to a mathematically intractable model for commercial solvers in the case of large-scale *** overcome this limitation,we design a tailored variable neighborhood search(VNS)metaheuristic,customizing the algorithm to efficiently solve our *** numerical experiments are conducted to validate the efficacy of our proposed algorithm,demonstrating its scalability for both large-scale and real-scale *** experiments and a case study based on an actual engineering project are also conducted,providing valuable insights for engineering managers to enhance inspection work efficiency.

The aim of this work is to investigate anisotropic compact objects within the framework of f(G)modified theory of *** our present work,we utilize Krori-Barua metrics,i.e.,λ(r)=Xr^(2)+Y andβ(r)=Zr^(2).We use some matching conditions of spherically symmetric spacetime with Bardeen's model as an exterior ***,we establish some expressions of energy density and pressure components to analyze the stellar configuration of Bardeen compact stars by assuming viable f(G)*** examine the energy conditions for different stellar structures to verify the viability of our considered ***,we also investigate some other physical features,such as equilibrium condition,equation of state parameters,adiabatic index,stability analysis,mass function,surface redshift,and compactness factor,*** is worthwhile to mention here for the current study that our stellar structure in the background of Bardeen's model is more viable and stable.

Unsteady cavitating flow often contains vapor structures with a wide range of different length scales,from micro-bubbles to large cavities,which issues a big challenge to precisely investigate its evolution mechanism by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)*** present work reviews the development of simulation methods for cavitation,especially the emerging Euler-Lagrange ***,the progress of the numerical investigation of hot and vital issues is discussed,including cavitation inception,cloud cavitation inner structure and its formation mechanism,cavitation erosion,and cavitation *** is indicated that the Euler-Lagrange method can determine cavitation inception point *** cloud cavitation,the Euler-Lagrange method can reveal the source of microbubbles and their distribution law inside the shedding *** method also has advantages and great potential in assessing cloud cavitation-induced erosion and *** the ever-growing demands of cavitation simulation accuracy in basic research and engineering applications,how to improve the Euler-Lagrange method’s stability and applicability is still an open *** further promote the application of this advanced CFD simulation technology in cavitation research,some key issues are to be solved and feasible suggestions are put forward for further work.
