OBJECTIVE:To investigate the synergistic effects of polyphyllin Ⅰ(PPⅠ)combined with tumor necrosis factorrelated apoptosis-inducing ligand(TRAIL)on the growth of osteosarcoma cells through downregulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling ***:Cell viability,apoptosis and cell cycle distribution were examined using cell counting kit-8 and flow cytometry *** morphology of cancer cells was observed with inverted phase contrast *** migration and invasion abilities were examined by xCELLigence real time cell analysis DP system and transwell *** expressions of poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose)polymerase,C-Myc,Cyclin B1,cyclin-dependent kinases 1,N-cadherin,Vimentin,Active-β-catenin,β-catenin,p-glycogen synthase kinase 3β(GSK-3β)and GSK-3βwere determined by Western blotting ***:PPⅠ sensitized TRAIL-induced decrease of viability,migration and invasion,as well as increase of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest of MG-63 and U-2 OS osteosarcoma *** synergistic effect of PPⅠwith TRAIL in inhibiting the growth of osteosarcoma cells was at least partially realized through the inactivation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling ***:The combination of PPⅠ and TRAIL is potentially a novel treatment strategy of osteosarcoma.

Colorectal cancer remains one of the commonest and most lethal malignancies worldwide(1).Up to 80%of patients with colorectal cancer develop liver metastases(CRLM),which are the main factor limiting survival(1,2).Despite advances in systemic therapy and the emergence of multimodal treatment concepts,curative surgical resection remains the best therapeutic option and provides the highest chance of long-term survival(1,2).However,liver resection is associated with perioperative morbidity and mortality,while multiple factors affect long-term prognosis(3,4).As a result,various predictive models have been developed over time,to improve preoperative patient selection and foresee unfavourable outcomes.

Background: The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the main structure that prevents the forward movement of the tibia about the femur Meniscus tear which is a common finding in patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Aim: To investigate the prevalence of types of meniscus tears in patients with Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Injury. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted among inpatients. Clinical evaluation included side-to-side difference in anterior tibial translation (ATT) as measured by a KT-1000 arthrometer (MEDmetric Corp) and a grade of pivot-shift test at final follow-up in all patients. Subsequent meniscal tear was defined by symptoms of joint line pain and/or locking or joint effusion requiring surgical treatment. Results: Most of patients were males (92.6%). The patients were categorized into 5 groups according to age with a mean of age 32.8 ± 10.6. The most common causes of ACL injury were falling down (43.2%), trauma (38.1%) or knee torsion (18.8%). Medial meniscal tear was found in 92 knees (55.7%), while lateral meniscal tear was found in 19 knees (10.8%) and the most common type was the longitudinal tear that was found in 31 knees (17.6%). Similarly, 66.7% of the meniscal flap tears and half of the meniscal bucket-handle tears were significantly associated with loose body (P Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that meniscus tears are more common in individuals with chronic ACL rupture. The main factors contributing to ACL injury were classified as falls, trauma, and knee torsion. Gender was identified as a critical determinant in the etiology of ACL injury. The occurrence of a ramp lesion was associated longitudinal meniscal tears, whereas chodoral injury was associated with the majority of meniscal flap tears and meniscal bucket-handle tears.

AIM:To determine whether the levator palpebrae superioris(LPS)/superior rectus(SR)muscle complex,can influence the position of the upper lid and fornix in acquired anophthalmic ***:This comparative non-randomized and non-interventional study included retrospective data of 21 patients with unilateral acquired anophthalmic sockets repaired with spheric ***-resolution computed tomography(CT)measurements of the LPM/SR muscle complex and clinical topographic position of the upper lid,superior and inferior fornix depth in primary gaze position were *** data were presented as frequency and percentage proportions and quantitative variables comparing the socket measurements with the normal contralateral orbit was statistically analyzed using non-parametric tests considering P0.05,all comparisons).The superior fornix depth was similar in the anophthalmic socket and the contralateral normal orbit(P=0.192)as well the inferior fornix depth(P=0.351).CONCLUSION:Acquired anophthalmic sockets repaired with spheric implants have shorter LPS,thicker SR,and more lagophthalmos than normal *** relationship of the LPS and SR with other orbital structures,associated with passive or active forces acting in the final position of the lids and external ocular prosthesis should be further investigated.

The aim of this study was to report a case of multi-visceral sarcoidosis at the Mother-Child Hospital Center (CHME) “Le Luxembourg” in Bamako, Mali. Observation: This is a patient aged 62 at the time of consultation, a housewife, residing in the Banconi district, who was referred to us for thoracic-abdominopelvic imaging for chronic liver disease. After several diagnostic errors, the thoracic-abdominopelvic CT scan and liver MRI performed in our center showed, at the thoracoabdominal level, bilateral diffuse pulmonary micronodules and bilateral mediastinal-hilar lymphadenopathy;on the abdominal level, a dysmorphic liver with plaques of steatosis and a granular appearance of the liver parenchyma without periportal fibrosis. These imaging data combined with those from the liver nodule biopsy and biology confirmed the diagnosis of sarcoidosis type II. Treatment with corticosteroids gave satisfactory results and the patient recovered after 18 months. Clinical and CT monitoring 2 years from the start of the disease and 2 months from the end of treatment showed complete resolution of the lesions. Conclusion: The multi-visceral location of sarcoidosis is an entity whose diagnosis remains difficult;diagnostic and interventional imaging has an important place in its management.

BACKGROUND Radiomics is a promising tool that may increase the value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for different tasks related to the management of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,its implementation in clinical practice is still far,with many issues related to the methodological quality of radiomic *** To systematically review the current status of MRI radiomic studies concerning HCC using the Radiomics Quality Score(RQS).METHODS A systematic literature search of PubMed,Google Scholar,and Web of Science databases was performed to identify original articles focusing on the use of MRI radiomics for HCC management published between 2017 and *** methodological quality of radiomic studies was assessed using the RQS ***’s correlation(ρ)analysis was performed to explore if RQS was correlated with journal metrics and characteristics of the *** level of statistical significance was set at Pdiagnostic purpose,and 11 had multiple *** mean RQS was 8±6.22,and the corresponding percentage was 24.15%±15.25%(ranging from 0.0% to 58.33%).RQS was positively correlated with journal impact factor(IF;ρ=0.36,P=2.98×10^(-5)),5-years IF(ρ=0.33,P=1.56×10^(-4)),number of patients included in the study(ρ=0.51,P<9.37×10^(-10))and number of radiomics features extracted in the study(ρ=0.59,P<4.59×10^(-13)),and time of publication(ρ=-0.23,P<0.0072).CONCLUSION Although MRI radiomics in HCC represents a promising tool to develop adequate personalized treatment as a noninvasive approach in HCC patients,our study revealed that studies in this field still lack the quality required to allow its introduction into clinical practice.
