The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has been looming globally for three years,yet the diagnostic and treatment methods for COVID-19 are still undergoing extensive exploration,which holds paramount importance in mitigating future *** non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs)display aberrations in the context of ***,microRNAs(miRNAs),long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs),and circular RNAs(circRNAs)exhibit a close association with viral infection and disease *** this comprehensive review,an overview was presented of the expression profiles of host ncRNAs following SARS-CoV-2 invasion and of the potential functions in COVID-19 development,encompassing viral invasion,replication,immune response,and multiorgan deficits which include respiratory system,cardiac system,central nervous system,peripheral nervous system as well as long ***,we provide an overview of several promising host ncRNA biomarkers for diverse clinical scenarios related to COVID-19,such as stratification biomarkers,prognostic biomarkers,and predictive biomarkers for treatment *** addition,we also discuss the therapeutic potential of ncRNAs for COVID-19,presenting ncRNA-based strategies to facilitate the development of novel *** an in-depth analysis of the interplay between ncRNA and COVID-19 combined with our bioinformatic analysis,we hope to offer valuable insights into the stratification,prognosis,and treatment of COVID-19.

Coherent incoherent transition in the spin boson model with a super-ohmic bath

The temperature effect on tunnelling splitting in the spin boson model with a super-ohmic bath is studied by the small polaron theory. The coherent-incoherent transition temperature is calculated and its dependence on dissipation strength and bare tunnelling splitting is analysed. In additional to the traditional transition point described in textbooks, a new kind of transition is found in the low dissipation region, showing different temperature dependence in the transition. The relation to the corresponding transition in the polaron-phonon system is also discussed.

Centrality dependence of pT spectra for identified hadrons in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions at (~SNN)^(1/2)=200 GeV

The centrality dependence of transverse momentum spectra for identified hadrons at midrapidityin Au＋Au collisions at √sNN=200GeV is systematically studied in a quark combination model. The PTspectra of π^±, K^±, p（p） and A（A） in different centrality bins and the nuclear modification factors （Rcp） forthese hadrons are calculated. The centrality dependence of the average collective transverse velocity （β （r）） for the hot and dense quark matter is obtained in Au＋Au collisions, and it is applied to a relative smallerCu＋Cu collision system. The centrality dependence of PT spectra and the Rcp for π^0, Ks^0 and A in Cu-bCucollisions at √sNN = 200 GeV are well described. The results show that （β （r）〉is only a function of the numberof participants Npart and it is independent of the collision system.

Influence of the Cd/S Molar Ratio on the Optical and Structural Properties of Nanocrystalline CdS Thin Films

Nanocrystalline CdS thin films have been deposited using precursors with different thiourea concentrationonto glass substrates by sol-gel spin coating *** crystalline nature of the films has been observedto be strongly dependent on thiourea concentration and annealing *** CdS films are found tobe nanocrystalline in nature with hexagonal *** grain size is found to be in the range of 7.6 to11.5 nm depending on the thiourea concentration and annealing *** high resolution transmissionelectron microscopy （HRTEM） results of the CdS films prepared using cadmium to thiourea molar ratio of0.3：0.3 indicate the formation of nanocrystalline CdS with grain size of 5 *** transform infrared （FTIR）analysis shows the absorption bands corresponding to Cd and *** optical study carried out to determinethe band gap of the nanostructured CdS thin films shows a strong blue *** band gap energy has beenobserved to lie in the range of 3.97 to 3.62 eV following closely the quantum confinement dependence ofenergy on crystallite *** dependence of band gap of the CdS films on the annealing temperature andthiourea concentration has also been *** photoluminescence （PL） spectra display two main emissionpeaks corresponding to the blue and green emissions of CdS.

Changes in functional connectivity of ventral anterior cingulate cortex in heroin abusers

Background Previous studies with animal experiments, autopsy, structural magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） and task-related functional MRI （fMRI） have confirmed that brain functional connectivity in addicts has become impaired. The goal of this study was to investigate the alteration of resting-state functional connectivity of the ventral anterior cingulate cortex （vACC） in the heroin abusers＇ brain. Methods Fifteen heroin abusers and fifteen matched healthy volunteers were studied using vACC as the region-of interest （ROI） seed. A 3.0 T scanner with a standard head coil was the imagining apparatus. T2＊-weighted gradient-echo planar imaging （GRE-EPI） was the scanning protocol. A ROI seed based correlation analysis used a SPM5 software package as the tool for all images processing. Results This study showed a functional connection to the insula vACC in heroin abusers. Compared with controls, heroin users showed decreased functional connectivity between the nucleus accumbens （NAc） and vACC, between the parahippocampala gyrus/amgdala （PHC/amygdala） and vACC, between the thalamus and vACC, and between the posterior cingulated cortex/precuneus （PCC/pC） and vACC. Conclusion The altered resting-state functional connectivity to the vACC suggests the neural circuitry on which the addictive drug has an affect and reflects the dysfunction of the addictive brain.

miR-137 and miR-491 Negatively Regulate Dopamine Transporter Expression and Function in Neural Cells

Abstract The dopamine transporter （DAT） is involved in the regulation of extracellular dopamine levels. A 40-bp variable-number tandem repeat （VNTR） polymorphism in the 3-untranslated region （3UTR） of the DAT has been reported to be associated with various phenotypes that are involved in the aberrant regulation of dopaminergic neu- rotransmission. In the present study, we found that miR- 137 and miR-491 caused a marked reduction of DAT expression, thereby influencing neuronal dopamine trans- port. Moreover, the regulation of miR-137 and miR-491 on this transport disappeared after the DAT was silenced. The miR-491 seed region that is located on the VNTR sequence in the 3＇UTR of the DAT and the regulatory effect of miR- 491 on the DAT depended on the VNTR copy-number. These data indicate that miR-137 and miR-491 regulate DAT expression and dopamine transport at the post- transcriptional level, suggesting that microRNA may be targeted for the treatment of diseases associated with DAT dysfunction.

Finite versus small strain discrete dislocation analysis of cantilever bending of single crystals

Plastic size effects in single crystals are investigated by using finite strain and small strain discrete dislocation plasticity to analyse the response of cantilever beam specimens. Crystals with both one and two active slip systems are analysed, as well as specimens with different beam aspect ratios. Over the range of specimen sizes analysed here,the bending stress versus applied tip displacement response has a strong hardening plastic component. This hardening rate increases with decreasing specimen size. The hardening rates are slightly lower when the finite strain discrete dislocation plasticity（DDP） formulation is employed as curving of the slip planes is accounted for in the finite strain *** relaxes the back-stresses in the dislocation pile-ups and thereby reduces the hardening rate. Our calculations show that in line with the pure bending case, the bending stress in cantilever bending displays a plastic size dependence. However, unlike pure bending, the bending flow strength of the larger aspect ratio cantilever beams is appreciably *** is attributed to the fact that for the same applied bending stress, longer beams have lower shear forces acting upon them and this results in a lower density of statistically stored dislocations.

Endowing the phasespare a g-norm as well as a supremum norm. we show that if the equation satifies a mild fadingmemory dondition then the continuity of f in respect to the topology induced by the supremumnorm can yield the continuity of solutions of the equation in respect to the topology induced bythe g-norm which is stronger than the ahead one.

Nonequilibrium dynamics in two-dimensional Ising spin glass

This paper investigates the nonequilibrium dynamics of two-dimensional Ising spin glass by dynamical Monte Carlo simulations. A new method is developed to quantitatively measure the age of domain growth. Using this method it investigates how temperature shift affects the effective age of domain growth. It finds that the T-shift dependence of the effective age follows the prediction of the droplet model quite well. It also investigates the overlap length between the spin glass states as well as the correlated flips of spins, which are not consistent with the theoretical predictions. The possible reasons are discussed.
