It is always a challenging task to model the trajectory and make an efficient damage estimation of debris clouds produced by hypervelocity impact(HVI)on thin-plates due to the difficulty in obtaining high-quality fragment images from experiments.To improve the damage estimation accuracy of HVIs on a typical double-plate Whipple shield configuration,we investigate the distributive characteristic of debris clouds in successive shadowgraphs using image processing techniques and traditional numerical methods.The aim is to extract the target movement parameters of a debris cloud from the acquired shadowgraphs using image processing techniques and construct a trajectory model to estimate the damage with desirable performance.In HVI experiments,eight successive frames of fragment shadowgraphs are derived from a hypervelocity sequence laser shadowgraph imager,and four representative frames are selected to facilitate the subsequent feature analysis.Then,using image processing techniques,such as denoising and segmentation techniques,special fragment features are extracted from successive images.Based on the extracted information,image matching of debris is conducted and the trajectory of debris clouds is modeled according to the matched debris.A comparison of the results obtained using our method and traditional numerical methods shows that the method of obtaining hypervelocity impact experimental data through image processing will provide critical information for improving numerical simulations.Finally,an improved estimation of damage to the rear wall is presented based on the constructed model.The proposed model is validated by comparing the estimated damage to the actual damage to the rear wall.

Without the dependence of depth ground truth,self‐supervised learning is a promising alternative to train monocular depth estimation.It builds its own supervision signal with the help of other tools,such as view synthesis and pose networks.However,more training parameters and time consumption may be involved.This paper proposes a monocular depth prediction framework that can jointly learn the depth value and pose transformation between images in an end‐to‐end manner.The depth network creatively employs an asymmetric convolution block instead of every square kernel layer to strengthen the learning ability of extracting image features when training.During infer-ence time,the asymmetric kernels are fused and converted to the original network to predict more accurate image depth,thus bringing no extra computations anymore.The network is trained and tested on the KITTI monocular dataset.The evaluated results demonstrate that the depth model outperforms some State of the Arts(SOTA)ap-proaches and can reduce the inference time of depth prediction.Additionally,the pro-posed model performs great adaptability on the Make3D dataset.

This paper studies the fully distributed formation control problem of multi-robot systems without global position measurements subject to unknown longitudinal slippage constraints.It is difficult for robots to obtain accurate and stable global position information in many cases,such as when indoors,tunnels and any other environments where GPS(global positioning system)is denied,thus it is meaningful to overcome the dependence on global position information.Additionally,unknown slippage,which is hard to avoid for wheeled robots due to the existence of ice,sand,or muddy roads,can not only affect the control performance of wheeled robot,but also limits the application scene of wheeled mobile robots.To solve both problems,a fully distributed finite time state observer which does not require any global position information is proposed,such that each follower robot can estimate the leader’s states within finite time.The distributed adaptive controllers are further designed for each follower robot such that the desired formation can be achieved while overcoming the effect of unknown slippage.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed observer and control laws are verified by simulation results.

The variability of renewable energy and transmission congestion provide opportunities for arbitrage by merchants in deregulated electricity markets.Merchants strategically invest to maximize their profits.This paper proposes a joint investment framework for renewable energy,transmission lines,and energy storage using the Stackelberg game model.At the upper level,merchants implement investment and operation strategies for deregulated transmission and energy storage to maximize profits.At the middle level,central planners seek to maximize social welfare through investments in centralized renewable energy and energy storage.At the lower level,independent system operators jointly optimize the energy and reserve markets to minimize the total operating costs.Merchants are remunerated through financial rights,which are a settlement method based on locational marginal price.The trilevel optimization problem is reformulated as a tractable single-level one using Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT)conditions and strong duality theory.The interaction between merchants and central planners is studied with an example based on the IEEE 30-bus test system.The assignment of weight coefficients to the corresponding stochastic scenarios can help merchants avoid investment risk,and their effectiveness is verified with the IEEE 118-bus test system.

This study presents an improved data-driven Model-Free Adaptive control(MFAC)strategy for attitude stabilization of a partially constrained combined spacecraft with external disturbances and input saturation. First, a novel dynamic linearization data model for the partially constrained combined spacecraft with external disturbances is established. The generalized disturbances composed of external disturbances and dynamic linearization errors are then reconstructed by a Discrete Extended State Observer(DESO). With the dynamic linearization data model and reconstructed information, a DESO-MFAC strategy for the combined spacecraft is proposed based only on input and output data. Next, the input saturation is overcome by introducing an antiwindup compensator. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed controller when the dynamic properties of the partially constrained combined spacecraft are completely unknown.

Coordinated investment and operations within renewable portfolio standards is one of the key technologies to meet the renewable energy target and realize the economic operations of the power system.This paper proposes a unified framework of coordinated planning and financial incentives.Joint investment in renewable energy and energy storage and joint optimization of energy and ancillary services are integrated into a unified framework.Various factors are taken into consideration by the social planner in the centralized electricity market,such as the sitting and sizing of renewable energy and energy storage,charge and discharge efficiency of the energy storage,transmission network constraints,reserve capacity,and financial incentives.This framework provides a tool for the social planner to determine the optimal planning scheme of renewable energy and energy storage.The conclusion derived is that the sum of market revenue and financial subsidies of renewable energy and energy storage is exactly equal to their investment cost which is obtained by the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT)condition of maximizing social welfare problems.A numerical result based on the modified IEEE-39 bus test system demonstrates the effectiveness of the unified framework.The impact of financial incentives,reserve capacity,and production costs on capital investment are studied.

This paper addresses state estimation issues of large-scale systems with measurements subject to deception attacks, where the communication topology among sub-estimators is the same as the physical coupling structure of the subsystems. In consideration of the limited channel bandwidth, a novel adaptive event-triggered scheme is proposed for governing the data transmission among sub-estimators. With the help of Lyapunov analysis approaches, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the input-to-state stability of the dynamics of estimation errors. Meanwhile, the bound of the estimation errors is obtained in the mean-square sense. The desired estimator parameters are presented in an analytical form dependent on the solution of a set of matrix inequalities. The developed scheme is related to the local information of the subsystems and thus satisfies the requirement of scalability. Finally, a simulation example of power systems is given to reveal the usefulness and effectiveness of the developed design scheme.

In order to simultaneously attack a target with impact angle constraint in threedimensional(3-D) space, a novel distributed cooperative guidance law for multiple missiles under directed communication topologies is proposed without radial velocity measurements. First, based on missiles-target 3-D relative motion equations, the multiple missiles cooperative guidance model with impact angle constraint is constructed. Then, in Line-of-Sight(LOS) direction, based on multiagent system cooperative control theory, one guidance law with directed topologies is designed with strict proof, which can guarantee finite time consensus of multiple missiles' impact times. Next, in elevation direction and azimuth direction of LOS, based on homogeneous system stability theory and integral sliding mode control theory, two guidance laws are proposed respectively with strict proof, which can guarantee LOS angles converge to desired values and LOS angular rates converge to zero in finite time. Finally, the effectiveness of the designed cooperative guidance law is demonstrated through simulation results.
