Complementary and alternative medicine in European countries legislative framework

Complementary and alternative medicine(CAm)is a set of different diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,as well as the use of natural products for the treatment of patients,derived from previously known traditional methods and enriched with modern scientific *** present article reviews the available data regarding the use of CAm and the legislation behind it in European *** use of CAm is recorded in Europe as a whole and varies between 1070%of the population of individual European *** least 300,000 registered CAm providers have been identified in the European Union(EU),of which slightly more than half includes non-medical *** most practiced discipline is acupuncture,followed by *** regulation and legislation in Europe is not precisely defined and is constantly striving to find a common *** legal frameworks for CAm are not defined,each European country has its own regulations and *** order to define universal legislation for CAm,the EU created the CAmbrella project,a project of the EU designed to find a unique system that would include the treatment of CAm in *** to the data from CAmbrella,from 39 countries in the EU,17 have general CAm *** status of CAm in Europe is characterized by enormous heterogeneity in all aspects,including terminology,methods,prevalence and ultimately,legal status,regulations and legislation.

The liver is a unique parenchymal organ with a regenerative capacity allowing it to restore up to 70%of its *** knowledge of this phenomenon dates back to Greek mythology(the story of Prometheus),many aspects of liver regeneration are still not understood.A variety of different factors,including inflammatory cytokines,growth factors,and bile acids,promote liver regeneration and control the final size of the organ during typical regeneration,which is performed by mature hepatocytes,and during alternative regeneration,which is performed by recently identified resident stem cells called“hepatic progenitor cells”.Hepatic progenitor cells drive liver regeneration when hepatocytes are unable to restore the liver mass,such as in cases of chronic injury or excessive acute *** liver maintenance,the body mass ratio is essential for homeostasis because the liver has numerous functions;therefore,a greater understanding of this process will lead to better control of liver injuries,improved transplantation of small grafts and the discovery of new methods for the treatment of liver *** current review sheds light on the key molecular pathways and cells involved in typical and progenitor-dependent liver mass regeneration after various acute or chronic *** studies and a better understanding of liver regeneration will lead to the development of new therapeutic methods for liver diseases.

A randomized retrospective clinical study on the choice between endodontic surgery and immediate implantation

Background:Periapical endodontic surgery(PES)for root amputation and tooth replacement by immediate implant placement are two possible treatment options for bone lesions in the root apex of a tooth that has previously undergone endodontic *** methods are performed when the effectiveness of orthograde canal revision is questionable or when such treatment cannot be *** effectiveness of these methods varies from study to ***:clinical evaluation of the efficacy of periapical endodontic surgery for root amputation and immediate implant placement with simultaneous tooth extraction in the proximate and long-term *** and methods:The study included 183 patients between the ages of 24 and *** were divided into 2 groups;group i-endodontic surgery was performed to resect the apex of the tooth root(108 patients)and group ii-an operation to install an implant with simultaneous tooth extraction(75 patients).in group i,in 36 cases,PES was performed in the area of the first molars and premolars,and 72 cases in the area of incisors and *** group ii,75 patients received 231 ***:in all 108 patients of group i in the postoperative period and within 1 month,the wounds healed without *** none of the 36 operated premolars and molars,there was no definitive elimination of the radiographic bone loss(Rude grade 2 and 3)after 12 *** the area of incisors and canines,complete healing was observed only in 37.5%of cases(i class according to Rud).in group ii,out of 184 implants installed immediately after tooth extraction,one was removed one month after *** other cases,all implants were successfully integrated with the subsequent fabrication of prosthetic ***:The complex“implant(installed in the socket of the tooth immediately after its removal)-bone-soft tissues-prosthetic construction”is stable over time in terms of functional and aesthetic parameters,preservation o

Salivation features depending on gender identity of patients

Objective To study the salivation features depending on gender identity of patients currently is of great interest because homeostasis in the oral cavity may change under the influence of social lifestyle,psychology and physiology of patient's gender. Given this,the study of the most important biological environment of the organism is relevant in different physiological stages of life. The aim of our study is to evaluate the characteristics of salivation depending on gender and sexual identity of patients,taking into account age and physiological periods of life. methods One hundred and seventy-five people,115 women and 60 men aged from 18 up to 75 years participated in the research conducted by us. Carried out dental inspection of patients,carried out questioning according to Fox's test for identification of existence or lack of a kserostomiya and also carried out collecting the mixed saliva at rest. Results Our results from people requested dental care revealed that there were more women with xerostomia than men and their symptom intensity was stronger. The frequency of manifestation of xerostomia was associated with physiological periods of their lives,with greater emotionality and exposure to stresses,and also with long medication intake. men were less analyzing the state of their health and noted better stress resistance to a different life situations. Xerostomia was found in them in the case of comorbidity,excessive consumption of sugar rich food and drinks,and less frequently as a result of stress. Conclusion For all patients suffering from false xerostomia were recommended the use of a moisturizing line "Kin Hydrate"to relieve the state of dryness in the mouth,as well as more thorough individual hygiene and intensive supervision by a dentist. The data collected require more careful attention of doctors to prevention of dental diseases,especially in vulnerable physiological periods of life,and changing lifestyle factors and social roles of men and women in to

influence of Carcinogenic Factors in the maxillofacial Region

Objective To study the influence of carcinogenic factors on tissues and organs of the maxillofacial region(mFR)by measuring the expression of biomarkers in the oral *** We recruited 421 patients who were divided into 2 groups:356 patients with a tumour of the mFR and 65 healthy people without somatic pathology in medical *** The effects of carcinogenic factors on the expression of biomarkers in the oral fluid in patients with a tumour of the mFR revealed a significant increase in the levels of biomarkers of tobacco use-mmP-8,TimP-1,TimP-2,and CA 72-4,CEA and CA 125;frequent use or abuse of alcohol-mmP-8,TimP-1,TimP-2,AFP and NSE;use of narcotics-TimP-1 and TimP-2;presence of occupational hazards in the medical history-mmP-8,mmP-9,TimP-1 and TimP-2;with a diagnostic sensitivity(DS)of over 60%.Also our analysis showed that the use of tobacco was significantly affecting the expression of TimP-1and CA 125;frequent use or abuse of alcohol-CA 19-9,AFP and CEA;use of drugs had an impact on ***,the occupational hazards in the medical history did not show a statistically significant *** Factors of carcinogenesis affect the expression of biomarkers in the oral *** expression of the biomarkers of the mFR should be compared with that in the control group of patients with no carcinogenic factors.
