Data Transmission with the Battery Utilization Maximization

With the growing popularity of 3G-powered devices, there are growing demands on energy-efficient data trans- mission strategies for various embedded systems. Different from the past work in energy-efficient real-time task scheduling, we explore strategies to maximize the amount of data transmitted by a 3G module under a given battery capacity. In particular, we present algorithms under different workload configurations with and without timing constraint considerations. Experiments were then conducted to verify the validity of the strategies and develop insights in energy-efficient data transmission.

DPT‐tracker:Dual pooling transformer for efficient visual tracking

Transformer tracking always takes paired template and search images as encoder input and conduct feature extraction and target‐search feature correlation by self and/or cross attention operations,thus the model complexity will grow quadratically with the number of input *** alleviate the burden of this tracking paradigm and facilitate practical deployment of Transformer‐based trackers,we propose a dual pooling transformer tracking framework,dubbed as DPT,which consists of three components:a simple yet efficient spatiotemporal attention model(SAM),a mutual correlation pooling Trans-former(MCPT)and a multiscale aggregation pooling Transformer(MAPT).SAM is designed to gracefully aggregates temporal dynamics and spatial appearance information of multi‐frame templates along space‐time *** aims to capture multi‐scale pooled and correlated contextual features,which is followed by MAPT that aggregates multi‐scale features into a unified feature representation for tracking *** tracker achieves AUC score of 69.5 on LaSOT and precision score of 82.8 on Track-ingNet while maintaining a shorter sequence length of attention tokens,fewer parameters and FLOPs compared to existing state‐of‐the‐art(SOTA)Transformer tracking *** experiments demonstrate that DPT tracker yields a strong real‐time tracking baseline with a good trade‐off between tracking performance and inference efficiency.

Asymptotic Solution for Coupled Heat and Mass Transfer During the Solidification of High Water Content Materials

This paper focuses on obtaining an asymptotic solution for coupled heat and mass transfer problem during the solidification of high water content materials. It is found that a complicated function involved in governing equations can be approached by Taylor polynomials unlimitedly, which leads to the simplification of governing equations. The unknown functions involved in governing equations can then be approximated by Chebyshev polynomials. The coefficients of Chebyshev polynomials are determined and an asymptotic solution is obtained. With the asymptotic solution, the dehydration and freezing fronts of materials are evaluated easily, and are consistent with numerical results obtained by using an explicit finite difference method.

Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)has been extensively utilized as a communication model in Internet of Things(IoT).As well,to offer service,numerous IoT based applications need effective transmission over unstable *** ensure reliability,prevailing investigations exploit multiple candidate forwarders over geographic opportunistic routing in ***,these models are affected by crucial denial of service(DoS)attacks,where huge amount of invalid data are delivered intentionally to the receivers to disturb the functionality of ***,secure localization based authentication(SLA)is presented to fight against DoS attack,and to fulfil the need of reliability and *** examining state information,SLA projects a trust model to enhance efficacy of data ***,of the prevailing opportunistic protocols,SLA guarantees data integrity by modelling a trust based authentication,providing protection against DoS attackers and diminishing computational ***,this model acts as a verification strategy to accelerate?attackers and to handle *** strategy helps SLA in eliminating duplicate transmission and by continuous verification that results from conventional opportunistic *** is performed in a MATLAB environment that offers authentic and reliable delivery by consuming approximately 50%of the cost in contrast to other *** anticipated model shows better trade off in comparison to the prevailing ones.

The paper is concerned with the robust control problems for exponential controlled closed queuing networks (CCQNs) under uncertain routing probabilities. As the rows of some parameter matrices such as infinitesimal generators may be dependent, we first transform the objective vector under discounted-cost criteria into a weighed-average cost. Through the solution to Poisson equation,i.e., Markov performance potentials, we then unify both discounted-cost and average-cost problems to study, and derive the gradient formula of the new objective function with respect to the routing probabilities. Some solution techniques are related for searching the optimal robust control ***, a numerical example is presented and analyzed.

With the introduction of mobile Ad hoc networks (MANETs), nodes are able to participate in a dynamic network which lacks an underlying infrastructure. Before two nodes agree to interact, they must trust that each will satisfy the security and privacy requirements of the other. In this paper, using the cognition inspired method from the brain informatics (BI), we present a novel approach to improving the search efficiency and scalability of MANETs by clustering nodes based on cognitive trust mechanism. The trust relationship is formed by evaluating the level of trust using Bayesian statistic analysis, and clusters can be formed and maintained autonomously by nodes with only partial knowledge. Simulation experiments show that each node can form and join proper clusters, which improve the interaction performance of the entire network. The essence of the underlying reason is analyzed through the theory of complex networks, revealing great scalability of this method.
