Brain-computer interface is a communication system that connects the brain with computer （or other devices） but is not dependent on the normal output of the brain （i.e., peripheral nerve and muscle）. Electro-oculogram is a dominant artifact which has a significant negative influence on further analysis of real electroencephalography data. This paper presented a data adaptive technique for artifact suppression and brain wave extraction from electroencephalography signals to detect regional brain activities. Empirical mode decomposition based adaptive thresholding approach was employed here to suppress the electro-oculogram artifact. Fractional Gaussian noise was used to determine the threshold level derived from the analysis data without any training. The purified electroencephalography signal was composed of the brain waves also called rhythmic components which represent the brain activities. The rhythmic components were extracted from each electroencephalography channel using adaptive wiener filter with the original scale. The regional brain activities were mapped on the basis of the spatial distribution of rhythmic components, and the results showed that different regions of the brain are activated in response to different stimuli. This research analyzed the activities of a single rhythmic component, alpha with respect to different motor imaginations. The experimental results showed that the proposed method is very efficient in artifact suppression and identifying individual motor imagery based on the activities of alpha component.

Liberalized electricity markets,smart grids and high penetration of renewable energy sources(RESs)led to the development of novel markets,whose objective is the harmonization between production and demand,usually noted as real time of flexibility *** necessitates the development of novel pricing schemes able to allow energy service providers(ESPs)to maximize their aggregated profits from the traditional markets(trading between wholesale/day-ahead and retail markets)and the innovative flexibility *** the same time,ESPs have to offer their end users(consumers)competitive(low cost)energy *** this context,novel pricing schemes must act,among others,as automated demand side management(DSM)techniques that are able to trigger the desired behavioral changes according to the flexibility market prices in energy consumption curves(ECCs)of the *** pricing schemes proposed so far,*** pricing,interact in an efficient way with wholesale *** they do not provide consumers with strong enough financial incentives to modify their energy consumption habits towards energy cost ***,they do not interact efficiently with flexibility ***,we develop a flexibility real-time pricing(FRTP)scheme,which offers a dynamically adjustable level of financial incentives to participating users by fairly rewarding the ones that make desirable behavioral changes in their *** evaluation results demonstrate that the proposed FRTP is able to offer a 15%–30%more attractive trade-off between the stacked profits of ESPs,*** sum of the profits from retail and flexibility markets,and the satisfaction of consumers.

The optical-phase-locked-loop （OPLL） at 9.2 GHz between two independent narrow linewidth diode lasers is realized. Ultrabroad servo bandwidth at 4 MHz is first achieved and it is guaranteed that the full spectral characteristics of the master laser can be transferred to the slave laser. The experimental results prove that the coherence between two lasers is about 99%. This offers a new method to study the interaction between lasers and atoms based on the ground hyperfine structure of caesium atoms.

The growing trend of network virtualization results in a widespread adoption of virtual switches in virtualized environments. However, virtual switching is confronted with great performance challeng.s regarding packet classification especially in Open Flow-based software defined networks. This paper first takes an insight into packet classification in virtual Open Flow switching, and points out that its performance bottleneck is dominated by flow table traversals of multiple failed mask probing for each arrived packet. Then we are motivated to propose an efficient packet classification algorithm based on counting bloom filters. In particular, counting bloom filters are applied to predict the failures of flow table lookups with great possibilities, and bypass flow table traversals for failed mask probing. Finally, our proposed packet classification algorithm is evaluated with real network traffic traces by experiments. The experimental results indicate that our proposed algorithm outperforms the classical one in Open v Switch in terms of average search leng.h, and contributes to promote virtual Open Flow switching performance.

The industrial Internet of Things(IIoT) has attracted enormous attention from academics and industries, which is a significant component of the future transformation of industrial systems. The analysis,understanding, and application of all kinds of fragmented data in IIoT is one of the critical technologies that need to be studied in the future. The identity resolution technology is the most promising technology to achieve this goal at present. Although many identity resolution systems based on domain name system(DNS) have been proposed, there are technical problems with a single root node causing system performance bottlenecks and slow resolution rates. In this paper, we focus on a widely used distributed structured peer-to-peer(P2 P) object name system(ONS) and redesign a novel identity resolution system based on a Dual-Chord algorithm for IIoT. The support vector machine(SVM) algorithm is first introduced in the system designed in this paper to implement the clustering of the P2 P network. And then, the Dual-Chord algorithm is proposed, which can get better performance than the classical Chord algorithm. This system resolves the mismatch between logical and physical addresses and improves the resolution rate of the ***, through PeerSim network simulation software, this paper evaluates the simulation performance of the improved identity resolution system based on the Dual-Chord algorithm. Simulation results prove that the system proposed in this paper is a more efficient identity resolution system.

Recommendation systems provide ease and convenience for users to address information overload problems while interacting with online platforms such as social media and ***,it raises several questions about privacy,especially for users who prefer to remain anonymous,especially on online social networks(OSNs).Moreover,due to the commercialization of online users'data,some service providers sell users'data to third parties at the blind side of the users,which leads to trust issues between users and service *** matters call for a system that gives online users much-needed control and autonomy of their *** the advancement of blockchain technology,many research institutions are experimenting with decentralized technologies to resolve the OSN user dilemma of privacy intrusion against third parties and *** resolve these limitations,we propose RecGuard,a privacy preservation blockchain-based network *** developed two smart contracts,RG-SH and RG-ST,to ensure the security and privacy of user *** RG-SH manages user data,whereas the RGST stores data.A graph convolutional network(GCN)was integrated with the blockchain-based system to detect malicious ***,we implemented our framework prototype on a locally simulated *** analysis and experiment results show that the proposed scheme demonstrates the effectiveness and privacy of users in our framework.

The estimation and analysis of road traffic represent the preliminary steps towards satisfying the current needs for smooth,safe,and green ***,effective traffic monitoring is an essential topic alongside the planning of sustainable transportation systems and the development of new traffic management *** contrast to classical traffic detection solutions,this study investigates the correlation between travelers'social activities and road *** s's primary goal is to investigate the presence of the relationship between social activity and road traffic,which might allow an infrastructure-independent traffic monitoring technique as ***'s general activities at Point of Interest(POI)locations(measured as occupancy parameter)are correlated with traffic data so that,finally,proper proxys can be defined for link-level average traffic speed *** method is tested and evaluated using real-world traffic and POI occupancy data from Budapest(District XI.).The results of the correlation investigation justify an indirect relationship between activity at POIs and road traffic,which holds promise for future practical applicability.

The dynamic response behaviors of upright breakwaters under broken wave impact are analysed based on the mass-damper-spring dynamic system model. The effects of the mass, damping, stiffness, natural period, and impulse duration (or oscillation period) on the translation, rotation, sliding force, overturning moment, and corresponding dynamic amplifying factors are studied. It is concluded that the ampli-ying factors only depend on the ratio of the system natural period to impulse duration (or oscillation period) under a certain damping ratio. Moreover, the equivalent static approach to breakwater design is also discussed.
