This paper proposes a coordinated frequency control scheme for emergency frequency regulation of isolated power systems with a high penetration of wind *** proposed frequency control strategy is based on the novel nonlinear regulator theory,which takes advantage of nonlinearity of doubly fed induction generators(DFIGs)and generators to regulate the frequency of the power *** deviations and power imbalances are used to design nonlinear feedback controllers that achieve the reserve power distribution between generators and DFIGs,in various wind speed *** effectiveness and dynamic performance of the proposed nonlinear coordinated frequency control method are validated through simulations in an actual isolated power grid.

In the process of coal mine drilling, controlling the rotary speed is important as it determines the efficiency and safety of drilling. In this paper, a linear extended state observer(LESO) based backstepping controller for rotary speed is proposed, which can overcome the impact of changes in coal seam hardness on rotary speed. Firstly, the influence of coal seam hardness on the drilling rig's rotary system is considered for the first time, which is reflected in the numerical variation of load torque, and a dynamic model for the design of rotary speed controller is established. Then an LESO is designed to observe the load torque, and feedforward compensation is carried out to overcome the influence of coal seam hardness. Based on the model of the compensated system, a backstepping method is used to design a controller to achieve tracking control of the rotary speed. Finally, the effectiveness of the controller designed in this paper is demonstrated through simulation and field experiments, the steady-state error of the rotary speed in field is 1 r/min, and the overshoot is reduced to 5.8%. This greatly improves the stability and security, which is exactly what the drilling process requires.

In the context of multiple-target tracking and surveillance applications,this paper investigates the challenge of determining the optimal positioning of a single autonomous aerial vehicle or agent equipped with multiple independently-steerable zooming cameras to effectively monitor a set of targets of *** camera is dedicated to tracking a specific target or cluster of *** key innovation of this study,in comparison to existing approaches,lies in incorporating the zooming factor for the onboard cameras into the optimization *** enhancement offers greater flexibility during mission execution by allowing the autonomous agent to adjust the focal lengths of the onboard cameras,in exchange for varying real-world distances to the corresponding targets,thereby providing additional degrees of freedom to the optimization *** proposed optimization framework aims to strike a balance among various factors,including distance to the targets,verticality of viewpoints,and the required focal length for each *** primary focus of this paper is to establish the theoretical groundwork for addressing the non-convex nature of the optimization problem arising from these *** this end,we develop an original convex approximation *** paper also includes simulations of diverse scenarios,featuring varying numbers of onboard tracking cameras and target motion profiles,to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Adaptive coupled-sliding-variable-based finite-time control of composite formation for multi-robot systems

This paper focuses on the finite-time control(FTC) of the composite formation consensus(CFC)problems for multi-robot systems(MRSs). The CFC problems are firstly proposed for MRSs under the complex network topology of cooperative or cooperative-competitive networks. Regarding the problems of FTC and CFC on multiple Lagrange systems(MLSs), coupled sliding variables are introduced to deal with the robustness and consistent convergence. Then, the adaptive finite-time protocols are given based on the displacement approaches. With the premised FTC, tender-tracking methods are further developed for the problems of tracking information disparity. Stability analyses of those MLSs mentioned above are clarified with Lyapunov candidates considering the coupled sliding vectors, which provide new verification for tender-tracking systems. Under the given coupled-sliding-variable-based finite-time protocols, MLSs distributively adjust the local formation error to achieve global CFC and perform uniform convergence in time-varying tracking. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted while providing practical solutions for the theoretical results.

Ferroelectric ceramics display a remarkable photostriction effect,which could facilitate the prevention of electromagnetic interference and promote the integration and miniaturization of actuator systems,indicating potential applications in glim-mer *** this work,highly transparent La-doped 0.9Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.1PbTiO3(0.9PMN-0.1PT)ceramicswere synthesized using a solid-state reaction method in an oxyge-nated *** and SEM were used to analyze the phase structure of the dense samples,which displayed a pure perovskite structure,with no trace of a pyrochlore *** La doping,the phase transitiontemperature shows a decreasing trend,and its dielectric constant could reach up to 20,*** P-E loop of the samples was gradually refined into a straight line with an increase in the doping *** La doping,the transparency of the 0.9PMN-0.1PT cera-mics was significantly enhanced and reached up to 61%at the near-infrared ***,the photogenerated voltage and deformation of the La-doped 0.9PMN-0.1PT ceramics were investigated under ultraviolet light of various *** 20 s of irradiation at an intensity of 800 mW/cm²,the max-imum voltage and deformation,with values of 40 V and 250 nm,respectively,were both found in the 1%La-doped 0.9PMN-0.1PT ceramics.

Performance analysis of deep borehole heat exchangers for decarbonization of heating systems

Meeting the climate change mitigation targets will require a substantial shift from fossil to clean fuels in the heating *** pumps with deep borehole exchangers are a promising solution to reduce *** the thermal behavior of deep borehole exchangers(DBHEs)ranging from 1 to 2 km was analyzed for various heat flow profiles.A strong correlation between thermal energy extraction and power output from DBHEs was found,also influenced by the heating profile *** operating time over the year typically resulted in higher energy production,while shorter one yielded higher average thermal power output,highlighting the importance of the choice of heating strategy and system design for optimal performance of *** breaks in operation for regenerating the borehole,for example,with waste heat,proved to be favorable for the performance yielding an overall heat output close to the same as with continuous extraction of *** results demonstrate the usefulness of deep boreholes for dense urban areas with less available *** the heat production from a single DBHE in Finnish conditions ranges from half up to even a few GWh a year,the technology is best suitable for larger heat loads.
