Endocrine-disrupting chemicals(EDCs)may mimic the endogenous neuroendocrine and endocrine messengers and interfere with developmental,reproductive,immune,metabolic and other physiological *** of basal metabolic rate,energy metabolism,food intake and engorgement by endocrine disruptors may lead to loss of metabolic ***-induced loss of metabolic homeostasis and obesity gave rise to the concept of metabolic-disrupting chemicals(MDC)and environmental *** oxidative stress,alterations in the circadian clock,and energy-sensing homeostasis are some of the major pathophysiological conditions implicated in promoting metabolic ***,fish are the most vulnerable candidate due to their direct exposure to metabolic disruptors in aquatic *** limited,studies conducted using piscine models have helped to identify MDCs in the aquatic ***,the molecular mechanisms through which MDCs can negatively influence the metabolism of hormones,epigenetic alteration,gut dysbiosis,and changes in endocrine and metabolic receptor expression and functions have recently gained considerable *** this review,we provide an update on the impact of MDCs on the initiators,cellular mediators,and hormone receptors related to the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis,with particular emphasis on fish models.

In this paper, we analyze the problem of constructing a surface pencil from a given spacelie （timelike） line of curvature. Using the Frenet frame of the given line of curvature in Minkowski 3-space, we express the surface pencil as a linear combination of this frame and derive the necessary and sufficient conditions for the coefficients to satisfy the line of curvature requirement. We illustrate this method by presenting some examples.

Localization is crucial in wireless sensor networks for various applications, such as tracking objects in outdoor environments where GPS (Global Positioning System) or prior installed infrastructure is unavailable. However, traditional techniques involve many anchor nodes, increasing costs and reducing accuracy. Existing solutions do not address the selection of appropriate anchor nodes and selecting localized nodes as assistant anchor nodes for the localization process, which is a critical element in the localization process. Furthermore, an inaccurate average hop distance significantly affects localization accuracy. We propose an improved DV-Hop algorithm based on anchor sets (AS-IDV-Hop) to improve the localization accuracy. Through simulation analysis, we validated that the ASIDV- Hop proposed algorithm is more efficient in minimizing localization errors than existing studies. The ASIDV- Hop algorithm provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for localization inWireless Sensor Networks. By strategically selecting anchor and assistant anchor nodes and rectifying the average hop distance, AS-IDV-Hop demonstrated superior performance, achieving a mean accuracy of approximately 1.59, which represents about 25.44%, 38.28%, and 73.00% improvement over other algorithms, respectively. The estimated localization error is approximately 0.345, highlighting AS-IDV-Hop's effectiveness. This substantial reduction in localization error underscores the advantages of implementing AS-IDV-Hop, particularly in complex scenarios requiring precise node localization. © 2024 The Authors. When tunnelling in difficult ground conditions,shield machine would inevitably produce significant ground loss and vibration,which may disturb the ground ahead of the tunnel *** this paper,discrete element models calibrated by model tests were established to investigate the response of tunnel face under the coupling effects of unloading and cutterhead *** results show that the friction angle reduction under cyclic loading and vibration attenuation in the sandy ground are significant and can be estimated by the fitted exponential *** cutterhead vibration,the tunnel face stability is undermined and the limit support pressure(LSP)increases to 1.4 times as that in the static case with the growth of frequency and ***,the loosening zone becomes wider and the arching effect is weakened with the reduction of peak horizontal stress and the increase of vertical stress above the *** on the numerical results,a pseudo-static method was introduced into the limit equilibrium analysis of the wedge-prism model for calculating the LSP under *** an error rate less than 5.2%,the proposed analytical method is well *** analytical calculation reveals that the LSP would increase with the growth of vibration amplitude,vibration frequency and covered depth but decrease with the increase of friction *** study can not only lay a solid foundation for the further investigation of ground loss,ground water and soft-hard heterogeneous ground under cutterhead vibration,but also provide meaningful references for the control of environmental disturbance in practice.

In response to the increasing penetration of volatile and uncertain renewable energy,the regional transmission organizations(RTOs)have been recently focusing on enhancing the models of pump storage hydropower(PSH)plants,which are one of the key flexibility assets in the day-ahead(DA)and real-time(RT)markets,to further boost their flexibility provision *** by the recent research works that explored the potential benefits of excluding PSHs’cost-related terms from the objective functions of the DA market clearing model,this paper completes a rolling RT market scheme that is compatible with the DA ***,with the vision that PSHs could be permitted to submit state-of-charge(SOC)headrooms in the DA market and to release them in the RT market,this paper uncovers that PSHs could increase the total revenues from the two markets by optimizing their SOC headrooms,assisted by the proposed tri-level optimal SOC headroom ***,in the proposed tri-level model,the middle and lower levels respectively mimic the DA and RT scheduling processes of PSHs,and the upper level determines the optimal headrooms to be submitted to the RTO for maximizing the total revenue from the two *** case studies quantify the profitability of the optimal SOC headroom submissions as well as the associated financial risks.

This research is aimed at investigating Corporate Environmental Responsibility in Manufacturing Enterprises in the Akaki River basin on protecting the urban environment with particular emphasis on twenty selected *** attain its objective,the study employed a mixed methods research *** were collected by employing tools such as questionnaire,key informant interview,group discussions and *** findings of the research show that corporate environmental responsibility is very *** majority of Large Scale Industries encompassed in the survey did not show considerable effort on protecting the environment *** reasons identified by this research are among others the absence of corporate environmental responsibility,low pressure from the enforcing institutions,and lack of financial and human *** a result,the Akaki River is highly polluted mainly through toxic industrial effluents released with little or no prior *** consequences are *** populations living across the river are facing health deteriorations and economic *** on the findings of this study,setting up strong institutions which are capable of developing new laws and implementing the existing environmental legal framework is commended.

A nonlinear flow of Jeffrey liquid with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux is investigated in the presence of nanoparticles. The features of thermophoretic and Brownian movement are retained. The effects of nonlinear radiation, magnetohydrodynamic(MHD), and convective conditions are accounted. The conversion of governing equations into ordinary differential equations is prepared via stretching transformations. The consequent equations are solved using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg(RKF) method. Impacts of physical constraints on the liquid velocity, the temperature, and the nanoparticle volume fraction are analyzed through graphical illustrations. It is established that the velocity of the liquid and its associated boundary layer width increase with the mixed convection parameter and the Deborah number.

A sedimentological investigation was carried out to reconstruct the paleogeography of the Zagros Foreland *** on the study of more than 1000 rock samples,nine carbonate microfacies and three terrigenous facies were *** study reveals that the Maastrichtian succession was deposited in a widespread homoclinal ramp in the High Zagros ***(Gandom Kar area),two(Ardal area),seven(Gardbishe area),five(Shirmard area),two(Kuh-e-Kamaneh area),three(Kuh-e-Balghar area),and six(Murak area)of depositional sequences(3rd order)were *** thickness of the lowstand systems tract(LST)due to activities of local faults and subsidence in the southeast is more than in the central and northwest of the High Zagros Basin during the Early and Early Middle *** the Middle Maastrichtian,the shallow and deep marine deposits were formed during the transgressive systems tract(TST)and highstand systems tract(HST)in this basin and the rate of subsidence in the center of this basin(Gardbishe area)is higher than in other areas and the platform was drowned in this *** falling relative sea-level due to activities of local faults led to that marine deposits were absent in all parts of the High Zagros Basin(except the south part)during the Late *** studies on the Zagros Basin during the Late Campanian-Maastrichtian showed the following results:shallow marine environments were developed in the southeast of this basin,and the turbidite,delta,and fluvial environments in the northwest were developed more than in other areas.

In this paper,we study a new class of equations called mean-field backward stochastic differential equations(BSDEs,for short)driven by fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H>1/***,the existence and uniqueness of this class of BSDEs are ***,a comparison theorem of the solutions is ***,as an application,we connect this class of BSDEs with a nonlocal partial differential equation(PDE,for short),and derive a relationship between the fractional mean-field BSDEs and PDEs.
