Novel,efficient,and green procedure for the synthesis of 1,5-benzodiazepines catalyzed by MgBr_2 in aqueous media

MgBr2 performs as a novel catalyst for the synthesis of various 1,5-benzodiazepine derivatives from wide range of substituted o- phenylenediamines and various ketones in good to excellent isolated yields （93-98%） using water as solvent at ambient temperature. Several solvents were examined for this reaction; however, in terms of reaction yield and time, water was found to be the optimum solvent. The remarkable advantages offered by this method are easily and inexpensive available catalyst, simple procedure, mild conditions, much faster （40-60 man） reactions and good to excellent yields of products.

A MoO3-TiO2 nanocrystalline composite material was prepared by a simple solgel *** synthesized material was charac-terized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy with an electron dispersion spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and Fourier transform infrared *** is a dark brown pigment found in wastewater from the sugar industry and it pollutes *** polluted water is generally referred to as molasses and it undergoes fermentation and is solely responsible for water,soil,and air *** synthesized catalytic material was found to be effective in degrading molasses under UV-visible *** of treated and untreated molasses was carried out by measuring its color,chemical oxygen demand,biological oxygen demand,pH,and total dissolved *** from these analyses indicate the effective photodegradation of the *** methodology has several advantages such as high photocatalytic activity,non-toxicity,cleanliness,and reusability of the catalytic material.

The one-pot three-component cyclocondensation has been developed involving the reaction of benzil with an aromatic aldehydes and ammonium acetate under thermal solvent-free conditions in the presence of a KSF supported 10-molybdo-2-vanadophosphoric acid catalyst. 10-Molybdo-2-vanadophosphoric acid was immobilized on KSF with a 20% loading, which showed the highest catalytic activity. The catalyst was fully characterized using FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis, XRD and SEM analysis techniques. There are several distinct advantages to this protocol, including high yields, short reaction time, operational simplicity and a recyclable catalyst with a facile work-up procedure.

A series of Ce1MgxZr1-xO2 mixed metal oxides with different molar ratios were prepared by simple co-precipitation and were characterized by X-ray diffraction,infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy,temperature-programmed desorption of CO2,and N2 adsorption *** prepared materials were tested for catalytic activity by the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives using a three component reaction(aromatic aldehydes,malononitrile,and dimedone) in an ethanol *** best catalytic activity was obtained with *** particle size or crystallite size was estimated using the Debye-Scherrer *** addition of magnesium oxide into the ceria-zirconia lattice resulted in the formation of nanosized particles ranging from 5.41 to 9.78 *** work describes the catalytic behavior of magnesium oxide in mixed metal oxide systems.

ZrOCl2·8H2O catalyzed environmentally benign synthesis of isobenzofuran-1（3H）-ones are ***2·8H2O appeared to be an excellent catalyst for the condensation and *** of phthalaldehydic acid（2-carboxybenzaldehyde） with methylaryl and cyclic ketones was initiated by condensation and occurred in one step providing excellent yields（90-98%）.
