Assessing the vulnerability of wintering habitats for the red-listed Asian Houbara(Chlamydotis macqueenii)using climate models and human impact assessments

The Asian Houbara(Chlamydotis macqueenii),a vulnerable species,is under significant threat from habitat degradation and anthropogenic pressures in Pakistan's arid *** study addresses the urgent need for conservation by identifying critical habitats,analyzing the influence of environmental and human factors on species distribution,and projecting future habitat shifts under climate change *** the Max Ent model,which achieves a robust predictive accuracy(AUC=0.854),we mapped current and future habitat suitability under Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSP126,SSP370,SSP585)for the years 2040 and ***,the suitable habitat extends over 217,082 km^(2),with 52,751 km^(2) classified as highly *** environmental drivers,identified via the Jackknife test,revealed that annual mean temperature(Bio1)and slope play a dominant role in determining habitat *** show significant habitat degradation;however,under SSP585,highly suitable areas are expected to expand by up to 24.92%by *** this increase,vast areas remain unsuitable,posing serious risks to population ***,only 2115 km^(2) of highly suitable habitat currently falls within protected zones,highlighting a critical conservation *** findings highlight the imperative for immediate,targeted conservation efforts to secure the species'future in Pakistan's desert ecosystems.

Fusarium ear rot(FER),caused by Fusarium verticillioides,is a destructive fungal disease of *** resistance is a complex,quantitatively inherited trait controlled by multiple minor-effect *** this study,we employed two recombinant inbred line(RIL)populations with the common resistant parental line CML304 to identify FER-resistance *** QTL analysis identified 23 FER-resistance QTL,each explaining 5.21%-30.51%of the total phenotypic ***,one major QTL,qRfv2,on chromosome 2 was repeatedly detected,accounting for 11.92%-30.51%of the total phenotypic ***2 was fine mapped to an interval of 1.01 Mb,flanked by the markers IDP8 and ***2 is a semidominant resistance gene that could reduce the disease severity index(DSI)by 12.4%-20%,suggesting its potential for enhancing FER resistance in *** analysis showed that 22 of the 28 annotated functional genes in the qRfv2 region displayed differential expression between parental lines in response to *** of the candidate genes,ZmLOX6,was validated to presumably provide a positive effect on FER *** study provides a basis for the potential cloning and application of FER resistance genes in maize breeding.

HA@HMn/PMS在肿瘤部位富集后,消耗局部谷胱甘肽并将二氧化锰还原为二价锰离子,然后通过类芬顿反应和催化过氧单硫酸盐分别生成·OH和·SO4-自由基.·SO4-是一种罕见的自由基,具有优异的氧化能力和非氧依赖特性,它的产生和作用打破了传统活性氧的局限性,并且可以对肿瘤细胞造成严重的损伤.在异植瘤小鼠模型中,研究表明HA@HMn/PMS能够显著抑制小鼠肿瘤生长.本研究通过结合谷胱甘肽的消耗和多种自由基在肿瘤治疗中的协同作用,激发了化学动力学治疗在多功能纳米系统应用方向的潜力.

Objective:While higher therapeutic doses of toxic cardiac glycosides derived from Cerbera odollam are frequently employed in cases of suicide or homicide,ongoing research is investigating the potential anticancer properties of low-concentration extracts obtained from the fruits of *** present study aimed to determine the enhanced anticancer effects and minimize potential side effects of combining extracts from *** fruits from Thailand with sorafenib against HCT116 and HepG2 ***:The dried powder of fresh green fruits of *** was fractionated,and its phytochemical contents,including total cardiac glycosides,phenolics,flavonoids,and triterpenoids,were *** cytotoxic effects of these fractions were evaluated against HCT116 and HepG2 cells using the MTT *** fractions showing the most significant response in HCT116 and HepG2 cells were subsequently combined with sorafenib to examine their synergistic *** induction,cell cycle progression,and mitochondrial membrane potential（MMP） were then *** underlying mechanism of the apoptotic effect was further investigated by analyzing reactive oxygen species（ROS） generation and the expression levels of antioxidant ***:Phytochemical analysis showed that ***-ethyl acetate fraction（COEtOAc） was rich in cardiac glycosides,phenolics,and flavonoids,while the dichloromethane fraction（CODCM） contained high levels of triterpenoids and *** 24 h treatment,HCT116 showed the most significant response to COEtOAc,while HepG2 responded well to CODCM with IC50values of（42.04±16.94） μg/mL and（123.75±14.21） μg/m L,***,COEtOAc（20 μg/mL） or CODCM（30 μg/mL）,both administered at sub-IC50concentrations,were combined with sorafenib at 6 μmol/L for HCT116 cells and2 μmol/L for HepG2 cells,incubated for 24 *** combination resulted in a significant suppression in cell viability by approximately 50%.The combination of treatments marked

Designing highly active electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution and reduction reactions(OER and ORR)is pivotal to renewable energy ***,based on density functional theory(DFT)calculations,we systematically investigate the catalytic activity of iron-nitrogen-carbon based covalent organic frameworks(COF)monolayers with axially coordinated ligands(denotes as Fe N_(4)-X@COF,X refers to axial ligand,X=-SCN,-I,-H,-SH,-NO_(2),-Br,-ClO,-Cl,-HCO_(3),-NO,-ClO_(2),-OH,-CN and-F).The calculated results demonstrate that all the catalysts possess good thermodynamic and electrochemical *** different ligands axially ligated to the Fe active center could induce changes in the charge of the Fe center,which further regulates the interaction strength between intermediates and catalysts that governs the catalytic ***,FeN_(4)-SH@COF and Fe N_(4)-OH@COF are efficient bifunctional catalysts for HER and OER,FeN_(4)-OH@COF and FeN_(4)-I@COF are promising bifunctional catalysts for OER and *** findings not only reveal promising bifunctional HER/OER and OER/ORR catalysts but also provide theoretical guidance for designing optimum ironnitrogen-carbon based catalysts.

The development of alkaline fuel cells is moving forward at an accelerated pace,and the application of ether-free bonded polymers to anion exchange membranes(AEMs)has been widely ***,the question of the“trade-off”between AEM ionic conductivity and dimensional stability remains *** strategy of inducing microphase separation to improve the performance of AEM has attracted much attention recently,but the design of optimal molecular structures is still being ***,this work introduced different ratios of 3-bromo-1,1,1-trifluoroacetone(x=40,50,and 60)into the main chain of poly(p-terphenylene isatin).Because fluorinated groups have excellent hydrophobicity,hydrophilic hydroxyl-containing side chains are introduced to jointly adjust the formation of phase separation *** results show that PTI-PTF_(50)-NOH AEM with the appropriate fluorinated group ratio has the best ionic conductivity and alkali stability under the combined effect of *** has an ionic conductivity of 133.83 mS cm^(-1)at 80°*** addition,the OH-conductivity remains at 89%of the initial value at 80°C and 3 M KOH for 1056 h of *** cell polarization curve based on PTI-PTF_(50)-NOH shows a power density of 734.76 mW cm^(-2)at a current density of 1807.7 mA cm^(-2).

Fast and robust production of quantum superposition states by the fractional shortcut to adiabaticity

The fractional shortcut to adiabaticity(f-STA)for the production of quantum superposition states is proposed firstly via a three-level system with aΛ-type linkage pattern and a four-level system with a tripod *** fast and robust production of the coherent superposition states is studied by comparing the populations for the f-STA and the fractional stimulated Raman adiabatic passage(f-STIRAP).The states with equal proportions can be produced by fixing the controllable parameters of the driving pulses at the final moment of the whole *** effects of the pulse intensity and the time delay of the pulses on the production process are discussed by monitoring the populations on all of the quantum *** particular,the spontaneous emission arising from the intermediate state is investigated by the quantum master *** result reveals that the f-STA exhibits superior advantages over the f-STIRAP in producing the superposition states.
