Approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac equation in the case of pseudospin and spin symmetry limits are inves- tigated under the Deng-Fan potential by applying the asymptotic iteration method for the arbitrary quantum numbers n and ~~. Some of the numerical results are also represented in both pseudospin symmetry and spin symmetry limits.

Chicken nugget is a comminuted meat product commonly prepared from spiced chicken meat and other ingredients. The tenderness of chicken meat lowers its firmness and mouth feel which may reduce acceptability of chicken nugget made from it. Thus, acceptability of chicken nugget could be harnessed when legume flour extenders are used along. Therefore, acceptability as well as quality of chicken nugget from different legume flours were evaluated. Soyabean, groundnut and cowpea flours were used as meat extenders for development of raw chicken nuggets and thereafter cooked for consumption. The quality of both raw and cooked legume flour extended chicken nuggets were assessed based on functional properties, sensory properties, proximate composition, amino acid content and shelf stability in terms of lipid peroxidation and microbial load. In their raw state, the legume flour extenders competed favourably with each other. Among all, soyabean flour extender maintained remarkable functional properties that transcend into significant (P < 0.05) yield of 86.93% of chicken nugget in comparison to the control (86.37%), groundnut (84.95%) and cowpea (84.50%). Upon cooking, all the legume flour extended chicken nuggets varied in their quality attributes. Apart from the high level of flavour and low microbial load, cowpea extended chicken nugget was of low quality based on the parameters evaluated in comparison with other legume flour extended chicken nuggets. Of interest, soyabean extended chicken nugget followed by groundnut extended chicken nugget were of good quality based on sensory properties, high crude protein and amino acid levels, low cholesterol content and lipid peroxidation value as well as low microbial load.

Within the frame of the Pavlov–Firsov spin–phonon coupling model, we study the spin-flip assisted by the acoustical phonon scattering between the first-excited state and the ground state in quantum dots. We analyze the behaviors of the spin relaxation rates as a function of an external magnetic field and lateral radius of quantum dot. The different trends of the relaxation rates depending on the magnetic field and lateral radius are obtained, which may serve as a channel to distinguish the relaxation processes and thus control the spin state effectively.

This communication addresses the impact of heat source/sink along with mixed convection on oblique flow of Casson fluid having variable viscosity. Similarity analysis has been utilized to model governing equations, which are simplified to set of nonlinear differential equations. Computational procedure of shooting algorithm along with 4 th order Range-Kutta-Fehlberg scheme is opted to attain the velocity and temperature distributions. Impact of imperative parameters on Casson fluid flow, temperature, significant physical quantities such as skin friction, local heat flux and streamlines are displayed via graphs.

Master developmental pathways, such as Notch, Wnt, and Hedgehog, are signaling systems that control proliferation, cell death,motility, migration, and stemness. These systems are not only commonly activated in many solid tumors, where they drive or contribute to cancer initiation, but also in primary and metastatic tumor development. The reactivation of developmental pathways in cancer stroma favors the development of cancer stem cells and allows their maintenance, indicating these signaling pathways as particularly attractive targets for efficient anticancer therapies, especially in advanced primary tumors and metastatic cancers. Metastasis is the worst feature of cancer development. This feature results from a cascade of events emerging from the hijacking of epithelial-mesenchymal transition, angiogenesis, migration, and invasion by transforming cells and is associated with poor survival, drug resistance, and tumor relapse. In the present review, we summarize and discuss experimental data suggesting pivotal roles for developmental pathways in cancer development and metastasis, considering the therapeutic potential. Emerging targeted antimetastatic therapies based on Notch, Wnt, and Hedgehog pathways are also discussed.

Background and Objective:For dengue outbreak prevention and vectors reduction,fundamental role of control parameters like vaccination against dengue virus in human population and insecticide in mosquito population have been addressed theoretically and numerically.For this purpose,an existing model was modified to optimize dengue fever.Methodology:Using Pontryagin’s maximum principle,the dynamics of infection for the optimal control problem was addressed,further,defined cost functional,established existence of optimal control,stated Hamiltonian for characterization of optimization.Results:Numerical simulations for optimal state variables and control variables were performed.Conclusion:Our findings demonstrate that with low cost of control variables,state variable such as recovered population increases gradually and decrease other state variables for host and vector population.

This paper is concerned with the problem of modifying the edge lengths of a weighted extended star network with n vertices by integer amounts at the minimum total cost subject to be given modification bounds so that a set of p prespecified vertices becomes an undesirable p-median location on the perturbed network.We call this problem as the integer inverse undesirable p-median location model.Exact combinatorial algorithms with O(p2n logn)and O(p2(n logn+n log nmax))running times are proposed for solving the problem under the weighted rectilinear and weighted Chebyshev norms,respectively.Furthermore,it is shown that the problem under the weighted sum-type Hamming distance with uniform modification bounds can be solved in O(p-n log n)time.

Series of(Ag)x/(Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca2Cu3O10-δ) {(Ag)x/Cu Tl-1223} nano-superconductor composites were synthesized with different concentrations(i.e. x ? 0 4.0 wt%) of silver(Ag) nanoparticles. Low anisotropic Cu Tl-1223 superconducting matrix was prepared by solid-state reaction and Ag nanoparticles were prepared by a sol–gel method separately. The required(Ag)x/Cu Tl-1223 composition was obtained by the inclusion of Ag nanoparticles in Cu Tl-1223 superconducting matrix. Structural, morphological, compositional and superconducting transport properties of these composites were investigated in detail by x-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive x-rays(EDX)spectroscopy and four-point probe electrical resistivity(ρ) measurements. The inclusion of Ag nanoparticles enhanced the superconducting properties without affecting the tetragonal structure of the host Cu Tl-1223 matrix. The improvement in superconducting properties of(Ag)x/Cu Tl-1223 composites is most likely due to enhanced inter-grains coupling and increased superconducting volume fraction after the addition of metallic Ag nanoparticles at the inter-crystallite sites in the samples. The presence of Ag nanoparticles at the grain-boundaries may increase the number of flux pinning centers, which were present in the form of weak-links in the pure Cu Tl-1223 superconducting matrix.
