Rhythmical massage improves autonomic nervous system function:a single-blind randomised controlled trial

Background： Rhythmical massage therapy（RMT） is a massage technique used in anthroposophic ***： The authors aimed to investigate the physiological action of RMT on the cardiovascular system by analysing heart rate variability（HRV）.Design, setting, participants and intervention： This study was a randomised, controlled and single-blinded trial, involving 44 healthy women（mean age：（26.20 ± 4.71） years）. The subjects were randomised to one of three arms： RMT with aromatic oil（RA）, RMT without aromatic oil（RM） or standardised sham massage（SM）. In the study the subjects were exposed to a standardised stress situation followed by one of the study techniques and Holter electrocardiograms（ECGs） were recorded for 24 *** outcome measures： HRV parameters were calculated from linear（time and frequency domain） and nonlinear dynamics（symbolic dynamics, Poincare plot analysis） of the 24-h Holter ECG ***： Short-and long-term effects of massage on autonomic regulation differed significantly among the three groups. Immediately after an RMT session, stimulation of HRV was found in the groups RA and RM. The use of an aromatic oil produced greater short-term measurable changes in HRV compared with rhythmic massage alone, but after 24 h the effect was no longer distinguishable from the RM *** lowest stimulation of HRV parameters was measured in the SM ***： RMT causes specific and marked stimulation of the autonomic nervous system. Use of a medicinal aromatic oil had only a temporary effect on HRV, indicating that the RM causes the most relevant long-term effect. The effect is relatively specific, as the physiological effects seen in the group of subjects who received only SM were considerably less pronounced.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity *** types of cancer treatments have been developed,such as chemotherapy,surgery,radiotherapy,and ***,these therapies can also kill healthy cells and lead to severe side ***,scientists are looking for new strategies to eliminate cancerous cells ***,nanometer-sized lipid bilayer-enclosed vesicles secreted from various cell types,exist in nearly all body fluids,including blood,breast milk,saliva,urine,bile,pancreatic juice,cerebrospinal,and peritoneal *** carry myriad donor cell-derived bioactive molecules such as proteins,lipids,and RNAs(including microRNA and lncRNA)and can deliver them to both nearby and distant recipient *** to these characteristics,exosomes have attracted great interest in cancer treatment(especially serving as a biological carrier for some drugs,microRNA,lncRNA,inhibitors,and antibodies).In this paper,we will review the current knowledge of exosome therapeutic applications in cancer.

Predicting Bitcoin Trends Through Machine Learning Using Sentiment Analysis with Technical Indicators

Predicting Bitcoin price trends is necessary because they represent the overall trend of the cryptocurrency *** the history of the Bitcoin market is short and price volatility is high,studies have been conducted on the factors affecting changes in Bitcoin *** have been conducted to predict Bitcoin prices using Twitter ***,the amount of data was limited,and prices were predicted for only a short period(less than two years).In this study,data from Reddit and LexisNexis,covering a period of more than four years,were *** data were utilized to estimate and compare the performance of the six machine learning techniques by adding technical and sentiment indicators to the price data along with the volume of *** accuracy of 90.57%and an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve value(AUC)of 97.48%were obtained using the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost).It was shown that the use of both sentiment index using valence aware dictionary and sentiment reasoner(VADER)and 11 technical indicators utilizing moving average,relative strength index(RSI),stochastic oscillators in predicting Bitcoin price trends can produce significant ***,the input features used in the paper can be applied on Bitcoin price ***,this approach allows investors to make better decisions regarding Bitcoin-related investments.

In this paper, a new kind of alternating direction implicit （ADI） Crank-Nicolson-type orthogonal spline collocation （OSC） method is formulated for the two-dimensional frac-tional evolution equation with a weakly singular kernel arising in the theory of linear viscoelas-ticity. The novel OSC method is used for the spatial discretization, and ADI Crank-Nicolson-type method combined with the second order fractional quadrature rule are considered for thetemporal component. The stability of proposed scheme is rigourously established, and nearlyoptimal order error estimate is also derived. Numerical experiments are conducted to supportthe predicted convergence rates and also exhibit expected super-convergence phenomena.

Diffusion Monte Carlo calculations on LaB molecule

Potential energy curves for the lowest electronic states of LaB and LaB- have been calculated by ab initio *** diffusion Monte Carlo method has been employed in combination with three different trial functions. Spectroscopic constants have also been numerically derived for the neutral molecule and compared with the only available theoretical work;^（[19]） however, predictions are provided for the corresponding constants for the anionic species which have not been reported yet. Our calculations suggest the high spin quintet state of LaB as the ground state with the triplet state higher in energy irrespective of the type of the functional used. This suggestion is in good accordance with the previous theoretical results calculated at B3LYP/LANL2DZ level of theory, whereas it contradicts with the prediction based upon B3LYP/SDD calculations in the same study. Moreover, variations of the permanent dipole moments as a function of the internuclear separations for the two electronic states of the neutral molecule have been studied and analyzed.

The real rectangular tensors arise from the strong ellipticity condition problem in solid mechanics and the entanglement problem in quantum physics. In this paper, we study the singular values/vectors problem of real nonnegative partially symmetric rectangular tensors. We first introduce the concepts of/k,S-singular values/vectors of real partially symmetric rectangular tensors. Then, based upon the presented properties of lk,S-singular values /vectors, some properties of the related /k＇S-spectral radius are discussed. Furthermore, we prove two analogs of Perron-Frobenius theorem and weak Perron-Frobenius theorem for real nonnegative partially symmetric rectangular tensors.

Brittle-ductile behavior of a nanocrack in nanocrystalline Ni:A quasicontinuum study

The effects of stacking fault energy, unstable stacking fault energy, and unstable twinning fault energy on the fracture behavior of nanocrystalline Ni are studied via quasicontinuum simulations. Two semi-empirical potentials for Ni are used to vary the values of these generalized planar fault energies. When the above three energies are reduced, a brittle-to-ductile transition of the fracture behavior is observed. In the model with higher generalized planar fault energies, a nanocrack proceeds along a grain boundary, while in the model with lower energies, the tip of the nanocrack becomes blunt. A greater twinning tendency is also observed in the more ductile model. These results indicate that the fracture toughness of nanocrystalline face-centered-cubic metals and alloys might be efficiently improved by controlling the generalized planar fault energies.

Developing a Secure Framework Using Feature Selection and Attack Detection Technique

Regulation of alternative splicing of Bcl-x by IL-6,GM-CSF and TPA

The splicing of many alternative exons in the precursor messenger RNA (pre-mRNA) is regulated by extracellular factors but the underlying molecular bases remain unclear. Here we report the differential regulation of Bcl-x pre-mRNA splicing by extracellular factors and their distinct requirements for pre-mRNA elements. In K562 leukemia cells, treatment with interleukin-6 (IL-6) or granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) reduced the proportion of the Bcl-xL variant mRNA while treatment with 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol 13-acetate (TPA) had no effect. In U251 glioma cells, however, TPA efficiently increased the Bcl-xL level. These regulations were also seen for a transfected splicing reporter mini-gene. Further analyses of deletion mutants indicate that nucleotides 1-176 of the downstream intron are required for the IL-6 effect, whereas additional nucleotides 177-284 are essential for the GM-CSF effect. As for the TPA effect, only nucleotides 1-76 are required in the downstream intron. Thus,
