To sustain agricultural production,pesticides are highly *** sub-Saharan Africa,two regulatory bodies are in charge of pesticide registration,for more than 10 years of duty,the impact of their activity has not yet best carried *** present investigation aimed to evaluate the evolution in the quality of pesticides in agriculture in sub-Saharan *** of pesticides began in Cameroon in ***,less than 5%of pesticides used in 2004 were registered and more than 80%of producers were not aware of this legal *** 2014,85%of pesticides used are *** sub-Saharan Africa,Highly Hazardous pesticides(HHps)registered are rondenticides,insecticides and *** are frequently used for the protection of stored *** persistent organic pollutants(pops)(heptachlore,chlorobenzene)and HHp(alluminium phosphide,terbufos,abamectine,ethropophos,etc.)are frequently used to protect stored *** 40%are registered for use in intensive bananas production(28%for nematodes control alone and 10%for control of both insects and nematodes).Moreover,20%of HHps registered are for the control of rondents.

We obtain all Whittaker vectors and submodules of We. Moreover, all simple Whittaker L-modules of type φ are determined.

Moringa oleifera is well known as a highly nutritious plant and a water purifier in fish *** fish has many impressive qualities making them very suitable for ***,this study aimed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of Moringa oleifera aqueous extract(MoAE)at varying concentrations(0,100,200,and 400 mg/kg diet for 90 days)on growth performance,hematological,and some biochemical parameters of Nile ***,histological changes and immunohistochemical expression of caspase 3 in gills and livers were *** enhancements(ppecific growth rate,red blood cells,hemoglobin,packed cell volume,white blood cells,and total serum protein were observed in fish fed 200 mg MoAE/kg diet compared with other ***,a significant reduction(pof liver and kidney function tests and non-significant changes in lipid profile were *** the other hand,fish fed 400 mg MoAE/kg diet revealed disturbance in the corresponding *** histological degenerative changes were detected in the gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MoAE/kg *** comparison,fish fed 200 mg MoAE/kg diet showed the best histo-architectures of these organs compared with other *** immune expressions of caspase 3 were determined where gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MoAE/kg diet revealed extensive number of positive caspase 3 cells indicating severe apoptotic ***,a dietary MoAE at 200 mg/kg diet is recommended to improve the growth performance,hematological parameters,liver and kidney functions in Nile ***,caution must be considered when using MoAE at a concentration over 200 mg/kg diet.

protein Extraction Methods for Two-Dimensional Electrophoresis from Baphicacanthus cusia(Nees)Bremek Leaves-A Medicinal plant with High Contents of Interfering Compounds

protein extraction is a critical step for two-dimensional electrophoresis （2-DE）. Different plant samples require different and adaptive protein extraction protocols. The leaves of medicinal plant, Baphicacanthus cusia （Nees） Bremek are notoriously recalcitrant to common protein extraction methods due to high levels of interfering compounds （especially the secondary metabolites and pigments）. This study was aimed to establish a routine procedure for the proteomic analysis ofB. cusia leaves, and a new protocol for the protein extraction was developed by optimizing trichloroacetic acid （TCA）/ acetone extraction method. The efficiency of this protocol was demonstrated by comparison with 3 published protein extraction methods （chloroform/acetone, Mg/Np-40, Tris-base/acetone）. The results showed that the optimized TCA/ acetone precipitation extraction method gave a relatively high protein yield （9.263 mg g^-1 fresh weight）, high-resolution separation, clear protein profiles, the highest proteins spots （1 31 t protein spots）, and displayed less contamination in 2- DE gels. Therefore, the results suggested that the optimized TCA/acetone method was the most effective among the 4 methods for B. cusia leaves.

Cobalt-boride(Co-B)is emerging as one of the promising materials in the base-hydrolytic dehydrogena-tion of ammonia-borane(AB).In order to avoid the low specific area and poor catalytic capacity of Co-B catalyst caused by aggregation arising from the strong reducing property and rapid reaction condensation of sodium borohy-dride(NaBHa),novel cobalt boride/cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(Co-B/CTAB)catalyst was obtained via solid-state grinding at room temperature,and the catalyst was further characterized by xRD,SEM,xpS and *** hydrogen generation rate(HGR)was then determined by the hydrolysis reaction of *** SEM images indicate that a lot of irregular folds and curled edges are formed on the sample with a maximum surface area of 145.57 m2/g,thus possibly resulting in the high hydrogen production(HGR was 10.68 ***),which may be attributed to CTAB that provide favorable large specific surface area and abundant porous ***,catalyst will not be affected by solvants during solid-state *** a diluent,the surfactant CTAB hindered the reaction rate of sodium borohydride reduction to cobalt boride and obtained the novel catalyst with a large specific surface area.

g-Besselian Frames in Hilbert Spaces

In this paper, we introduce the concept of a g-Besselian frame in a Hilbert space and discuss the relations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame. We also give some characterizations of g-Besselian frames. In the end of this paper, we discuss the stability of g-Besselian frames. our results show that the relations and the characterizations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame are different from the corresponding results of g-frames and frames.

Ruminants utilize a wide variety of dietary substrates that are not digestible by the mammals, through microbial fermentation taking place in the rumen. Recent advanced molecular based approaches have allowed the characterization of rumen microbiota and its compositional changes under various treatment ***, the knowledge is still limited on the impacts of variations in the rumen microbiota on host biology and function. This review summarizes the information to date on host-microbial interactions in the rumen and how we can apply such information to seek the opportunities to enhance the animal performance through manipulating the rumen function.

Argonaute(AGo)proteins are the core of the RNA-induced gene silencing complex which regulate a wide variety of processes in plants,from organ development to abiotic stress *** have been identified in many plants,but little is known in longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.),and how AGo functions in the signaling pathways in plant embryos in response to changing environmental stimuli remains *** the present research,a genome-wide analysis of the AGo gene family members and their roles in somatic embryogenesis(SE),zygotic embryogenesis(ZE),tissue developmental processes,and responses to hormones,light and abiotic stress in longan were *** longan AGo genes were identified genome-wide and divided into four *** were distributed on chromosomes 1,4,8,10,12,13,14,and 15,and had 2–23 *** expression profiling implied that DlAGos regulated early and middle embryogenesis,as well as developmental processes of seed,flower,and stem in *** addition,the transcript levels of DlAGos in response to exogenous hormones,light and abiotic stress showed differences in expression *** results provide the useful information for further elucidation of RNAi-mediated gene silencing in longan embryogenic callus(EC).

In vivo interspecific pollination success between pinus radiata,p. maximinoi, p. oocarpa and p. tecunumanii

The objective of the study was to investigate in vivo interspecific pollination success between pinus radiata, p. maximinoi, p. oocarpa and p. tecunumanii. pinus radiata was control pollinated with pollen lots of p. maximinoi, p. oocarpa and p. tecunumanii in a p. radiata seed orchard at Karatara (Southern Cape, South Africa). pollination success was determined by counting the number of visible ovules, pollen grains inside and outside p. radiata ovules, as well as pollen tubes visible inside p. radiata ovules. Conelets were harvested and studied at eight time intervals, including 24 h after pollination, and weekly for 7 weeks after pollination. Histology studies with a standard fixation-dehydration-embedding sequence and paraffin wax method were used to determine the number of visible pollen grains inside versus outside the ovules and number of pollen tubes. Results indicated that pollen grains did sift through the cone scales within 24 h after pollination. However, p. radiata differed significantly (time by type of cross interaction) from the other three hybrid combinations in terms of number of visible ovules, visible pollen grains inside and outside of the ovules as well as pollen tubes, confirming limited interspecific hybridisation success. Future studies need to determine the percentage of fertile ovules in cross combination as a tool in predicting pollination success.

Acid rain has become a major concern due to increasing atmospheric pollution,particularly in *** investigated whether acid rain inhibits the germination of seeds and subsequent emergence of seedling of four tree species from southern China:Cunninghamia lanceolata,Fokienia hodginisi,pinus massoniana and phoebe zhennan by simulating acid rain with pH of 2.5,3.5,4.5 and *** hypothesized that the inhibitory effect of acid rain on germination of seeds and emergence of seedling varies between species and the degree of acidity.A solution of 1 N H2So4 and 1 N HNo 3 in the ratio of 10–1 was prepared and diluted to four pH levels,and seeds were supplied with solutions of these pH values and distilled water as control and tested for germination in a controlled growth *** results revealed that simulated acid rain of pH 2.5 adversely affected the germination capacity of *** and ***;while all acid solutions significantly increased germination of ***;but had no effect on germination of *** *** acid solution(pH of 2.5)adversely affected elongation of radicle and hypocotyl as well as fresh and dry weights of radicle and hypocotyl of tender *** result demonstrated that seedling emergence is more sensitive than seed germination to simulated acid rain,and germination of conifer species are less sensitive than broad leaved species to simulated acid *** a whole,acid rain of pH of 3.5 is the threshold level and acid rain below this value will have a detrimental effect on seed germination and seedling emergence.
