Objective To explore the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)intervention on the vasoconstriction of cerebral artery smooth muscle cells after cerebral *** Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups by a random number table:the model group(n=24),the EA group(n=24),and the normal group(n=6).The model and the EA groups were divided into different time subgroups at 0.5,1,3,and 6 h after middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO),with 6 rats in each *** model was established using intraluminal suture occlusion *** EA group was given EA treatment at acupoint Shuigou(GV 26)instantly after MCAO for 20 *** contents of cerebrovascular smooth muscle MLCK,the 3 subunits of myosin light chain phosphatase(MLCP)MYPT1,PP1c-δand M20,as well as myosin-ATPase activity were detected using immunohistochemistry and Western *** The overall expression level of the MYPT1 and PP1c-δin the model group was significantly higher(P0.05),and the other subgroups were still significantly higher than the normal group(P<0.01).After EA intervention,the expression level of each subgroup was significantly lower than the corresponding model *** was a significant difference between the 0.5 and 1 h subgroups(P<0.01),while a difference was also observed between the 3 and 6 h subgroups(P<0.05).The dynamic change rule gradually increased with the prolongation of infarction time within 6 h after *** EA intervention can inhibit contraction of cerebral vascular smooth muscle cells and regulate smooth muscle relaxation by regulating MLCK pathway.

acupuncture is one of the most effective complementary therapies for allergic rhinitis(AR)and has been recommended by several clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)for ***,these CPGs mentioned acupuncture without making recommendations for clinical implementation and therapeutic protocols,therefore limiting the applicability of acupuncture therapies for ***,for the benefit of acupuncture practitioners around the world,the World Federation of acupuncture-moxibustion Societies have initiated a project to develop the CPG for the use of acupuncture and moxibustion to treat *** CPG was developed according to the Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)methodology,referring to the principles of the World Health Organization Handbook for Guideline *** the development of the CPG,the guideline development group(GDG)played an important *** clinical questions,recommendations and therapeutic protocols were all formulated by the GDG using the modified Delphi *** CPG contains recommendations for 15 clinical questions about the use of acupuncture and moxibustion *** include one strong recommendation for the intervention based on high-quality evidence,three conditional recommendations for either the intervention or standard care,and 11 conditional recommendations for the intervention based on very low quality of *** CPG also provides one filiform needle acupuncture protocol and five moxibustion protocols extracted based on the protocols presented in randomized controlled trials reviewed by the GDG.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the sensitization acupoints of women with primary dysmenorrhea(PD)by comparing infrared radiation temperatures between acupoints and ***:We tested 10 acupoints of every woman with PD and healthy subjects on premenstrual,menstrual,and postmenstrual days using an infrared imaging *** primary outcome was the absolute value of body surface temperature difference(AVTD)between the left and right sides of the same testing ***:A total of 58 PD patients and 57 healthy volunteers completed the test from May 2016 to May *** with the healthy group,we observed a significant reduction and increase in the AVTD in Taichong(LR3)and Sanyinjiao(SP6),respectively,during menstrual days in the PD group(P=0.01;P=0.04);while during postmenstrual days,all AVTDs of Shuiquan(KI5),Diji(SP8),and Xuehai(SP10)were diminished in the PD group(P=0.01;P=0.03;P=0.01,respectively).No significant differences in AVTD were detected at any other points or testing ***:Compared with the healthy group,the AVTDs of Taichong(LR3),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Shuiquan(KI5),Diji(SP8),and Xuehai(SP10)at menstruationrelevant points of PD patients were sensitized,providing a reference for the selection of acupoints in the treatment of PD.

BACKGROUND Few studies have investigated low-frequency electrical stimulation combined with tri-tongue acupuncture for the treatment of post-stroke *** randomized clinical study assessed the correlation between the clinical efficacy of low-frequency electrical stimulation combined with tri-tongue acupuncture in patients with post-stroke *** To investigate the clinical effects of tri-tongue acupuncture combined with lowfrequency electrical stimulation for treating post-stroke *** Ninety patients with post-stroke dysarthria,who were admitted to our hospital from December 2019 to June 2021,were selected and equally divided into two groups(n=45/group)according to the random number table ***-tongue acupuncture was administered in the control *** treatment group received both tri-tongue acupuncture and low-frequency electrical *** clinical efficacy,Western Aphasia Battery(WAB)score,general quality of life inventory(GQOLI-74)score,Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment score,and speech function grades were compared and analyzed between both *** The overall efficacy in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P0.05)did not differ between the *** therapy,the WAB,Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment,and GQOLI-74 scores in both groups increased significantly(P0.05),whereas significant improvements were observed in both groups after treatment(Pacupuncture,exhibits a good clinical effect on post-stroke dysarthria.

The latest guideline about ulcerative colitis(UC) clinical practice stresses that mucosal healing, rather than anti-inflammation, is the main target in UC clinical management. Current mucosal dysfunction mainly closely relates to the endoscopic intestinal wall(mechanical barrier) injury with the imbalance between intestinal epithelial cells(IECs) regeneration and death, as well as tight junction(TJ) dysfunction. It is suggested that biological barrier(gut microbiota), chemical barrier(mucus protein layer, MUC) and immune barrier(immune cells) all take part in the imbalance, leading to mechanical barrier injury. Lots of experimental studies reported that acupuncture and moxibustion on UC recovery by adjusting the gut microbiota, MUC and immune cells on multiple targets and pathways, which contributes to the balance of IEC regeneration and death, as well as TJ structure recovery in animals. Moreover, the validity and superiority of acupuncture and moxibustion were also demonstrated in clinic. This paper aims to review the achievements of acupuncture and moxibustion on mucosal healing and analyse the underlying mechanisms.
