Fault diagnosis of a marine power-generation diesel engine based on the Gramian angular field and a convolutional neural network

Marine power-generation diesel engines operate in harsh *** vibration signals are highly complex and the feature information exhibits a non-linear *** is difficult to extract effective feature information from the network model,resulting in low fault-diagnosis *** address this problem,we propose a fault-diagnosis method that combines the Gramian angular field(GAF)with a convolutional neural network(CNN).Firstly,the vibration signals are transformed into 2D images by taking advantage of the GAF,which preserves the temporal *** raw signals can be mapped to 2D image features such as texture and *** integrate the feature information,the images of the Gramian angular summation field(GASF)and Gramian angular difference field(GADF)are fused by the weighted average fusion ***,the channel attention mechanism and temporal attention mechanism are introduced in the CNN model to optimize the CNN learning *** the concept of residuals in the attention mechanism improves the feasibility of ***,the weighted average fused images are fed into the CNN for feature extraction and fault *** validity of the proposed method is verified by experiments with abnormal valve *** average diagnostic accuracy is 98.40%.When−20 dB≤signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)≤20 dB,the diagnostic accuracy of the proposed method is higher than 94.00%.The proposed method has superior diagnostic ***,it has a certain anti-noise capability and variable-load adaptive capability.

A New Version of the Lambda-CDM Cosmological Model, with Extensions and New Calculations

This article gives a state-of-the-art description of the cosmological Lambda-CDM model and in addition, presents extensions of the model with new calculations of background and CMB functions. Chapters 1-4 describe the background part of the model, i.e. the evolution of scale factor and density according to the Friedmann equations, and its extension, which results in a correction of the Hubble parameter, in agreement with new measurements (Cepheids-SNIa and Red-Giants). Based on this improved background calculation presented in chapters 5-9 the perturbation part of the model, i.e. the evolution of perturbation and structure according to the perturbed Einstein equations and continuity-Euler equations, and the power spectrum of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) is calculated with a new own code.

This paper presents in a concise way the main characteristics of life from the physical point of view and the most successful theories of biogenesis, together with a mathematical formulation and simulation of proto-biogenesis. We present here a calculation method for biochemical reactions based on the available reaction data base, and using this method, we calculate precise scenarios for the first life cycle, and for the first stages of terrestrial biological evolution.

Quantum Chromodynamics on Lattice: Direct Minimization of QCD-QED-Action with New Results

This paper describes a new numerical QCD calculation method (direct minimization of QCD-QED-action) and its results for the first-generation (u, d) hadrons. Here we start with the standard color-Lagrangian LQCD = LDirac + Lgluon, model the quarks qi as parameterized gaussians, and the gluons Agi as Ritz-Galerkin-series. We minimize the Lagrangian numerically with parameters par = (par (q), {αk}, par (Ag)) for first-generation hadrons (nucleons, pseudo-scalar mesons, vector mesons). The resulting parameters yield the correct masses and correct magnetic moments for the nucleons, the gluon-distribution and the quark-distribution with interesting insights into the hadron structure.

This research studies the effect of Mn-Co-La_(2)O_(3) coating synthesized by the electrodeposition method on the oxidation resistance and electrical conductivity of the Crofer 22 APU stainless steel interconnect plates in solid oxide fuel *** test samples were characterized by a field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM)equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The oxidation kinetics of the coated and uncoated samples were studied by tracking their weight changes over time at 800°C,showing that the oxidation mechanism for all samples follows the parabolic *** oxidation rate constant(k_(p))values of the coated sample compared with that of the uncoated one indicated a reduction in the oxidation rate of the steel substrate in the presence of the Mn-Co-La_(2)O_(3) *** examination of the cross-section of different samples after the isothermal oxidation for 500 h at 800°C exhibited that applying the composite coating leads to a decrease in the thickness of the chromia layer formed on the steel ***,under these conditions,the area-specific resistance(ASR)of the coated sample(13.11 mΩcm^(2))is significantly lower than that of the uncoated one(41.45 mΩcm^(2)).

An adaptive machine learning-based optimization method in the aerodynamic analysis of a finite wing under various cruise conditions

Conventional wing aerodynamic optimization processes can be time-consuming and imprecise due to the complexity of versatile flight *** of existing literature has considered two-dimensional infinite airfoil optimization,while three-dimensional finite wing optimizations are subject to limited study because of high computational *** we create an adaptive optimization methodology built upon digitized wing shape deformation and deep learning algorithms,which enable the rapid formulation of finite wing designs for specific aerodynamic performance demands under different cruise *** methodology unfolds in three stages:radial basis function interpolated wing generation,collection of inputs from computational fluid dynamics simulations,and deep neural network that constructs the surrogate model for the optimal wing *** has been demonstrated that the proposed methodology can significantly reduce the computational cost of numerical *** also has the potential to optimize various aerial vehicles undergoing different mission environments,loading conditions,and safety requirements.

Ashtekar-Kodama Gravity as a Classical and Quantum Extension of Loop Quantum Gravity

This paper presents a new theory of gravity, called here Ashtekar-Kodama (AK) gravity, which is based on the Ashtekar-Kodama formulation of loop quantum gravity (LQG), yields in the limit the Einstein equations, and in the quantum regime a full renormalizable quantum gauge field theory. The three fundamental constraints (hamiltonian, gaussian and diffeomorphism) were formulated in 3-dimensional spatial form within LQG in Ashtekar formulation using the notion of the Kodama state with positive cosmological constant Λ. We introduce a 4-dimensional covariant version of the 3-dimensional (spatial) hamiltonian, gaussian and diffeomorphism constraints of LQG. We obtain 32 partial differential equations for the 16 variables Emn (E-tensor, inverse densitized tetrad of the metric) and 16 variables Amn (A-tensor, gravitational wave tensor). We impose the boundary condition: for large distance the E-generated metric g(E) becomes the GR-metric g (normally Schwarzschild-spacetime). The theory based on these Ashtekar-Kodama (AK) equations, and called in the following Ashtekar-Kodama (AK-) gravity has the following properties. • For Λ = 0 the AK equations become Einstein equations, A-tensor is trivial (constant), and the E-generated metric g(E) is identical with the GR-metric g. • When the AK-equations are developed into a Λ-power series, the Λ-term yields a gravitational wave equation, which has only at least quadrupole wave solutions and becomes in the limit of large distance r the (normal electromagnetic) wave equation. • AK-gravity, as opposed to GR, has no singularity at the horizon: the singularity in the metric becomes a (very high) peak. • AK-gravity has a limit scale of the gravitational quantum region 39 μm, which emerges as the limit scale in the objective wave collapse theory of Gherardi-Rimini-Weber. Development of design charts to predict the dynamic response of pile supported machine foundations

This paper proposes design charts for estimating imperative input parameters for continuum approach analysis of the nonlinear dynamic response of *** and analytical studies using continuum approach have been conducted on single and 2×2 grouped piles under coupled and vertical modes of vibration,for different dynamic forces and pile *** these design charts are derived from model piles,the charts have been validated for prototype pile foundations using scaling *** experimental responses of model piles are scaled up and these responses exhibit good agreement with analytical *** study also extends to estimation of the errors in computing frequency–amplitude responses with an increase in pile *** is found that,with an increase in pile length,the errors also *** effectiveness of the proposed design charts is also checked with data based on different field setups given in existing literature,and these charts are found to be ***,the developed design charts can be beneficial in estimating the input parameters for continuum approach analysis for determining the nonlinear responses of pile supported machine foundations.

Analysis of Calcined Red Mud Properties and Related Mortar Performances

Red mud(RM)is a low-activity industrial solid waste,and its utilization as a resource is currently a hot *** this study,the micro characteristics of red mud at different calcination temperatures were analyzed using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron *** performance of calcined red mud was determined through mortar strength *** indicate that high-temperature calcination can change the mineral composition and microstructure of red mud,and increase the surface roughness and specific surface *** the optimal temperature of 700°C,the addition of calcined red mud still leads to a decrease in mortar strength,but its activity index and flexural coefficient increase by 16.2%and 11.9%with respect to uncalcined red mud,reaching values of 0.826 and 0.974,*** with the control group,the synergistic activation of calcined red mud with slag can increase the compressive and flexural strength of the mortar by 12.9%and 1.5%,reaching 8.7 and 62.4 MPa,***,the activity index and flexural coefficient of the calcined RM and GGBS(Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag)mixtures also increase to 1.015 and 1.130,respectively.
