Endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage(EUS-BD)directs bile flow into the digestive tract and has been mostly used in patients with malignant biliary obstruction(MBO)where endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography-guided biliary drainage was unsuccessful or was not *** apposing metal stents(LAMS)are deployed during EUS-BD,with the newer electrocautery-enhanced LAMS reducing procedure time and complication rates due to the inbuilt cautery at the catheter ***-BD with electrocautery-enhanced LAMS has high technical and clinical success rates for palliation of MBO,with bleeding,cholangitis,and stent occlusion being the most common adverse *** studies have even suggested comparable efficacy between EUS-BD and endosc-opic retrograde cholangiopancreatography as the primary approach for distal *** this editorial,we commented on the article by Peng et al published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery in 2024.

Wireless power transfer(WPT) technology based on magnetic resonance(a basic physical phenomenon)can directly transfer energy from the source to the load without wires and other physical contacts, and has been successfully applied to implantable medical devices, electric vehicles, robotic arms and other ***, due to the frequency splitting of near-field coupling, the resonant WPT system has some unique limitations, such as poor transmission stability and low efficiency. Here, we propose anti-resonance with level pinning for high-performance WPT. By introducing the anti-resonance mode into the basic WPT platform, we uncover the competition between dissipative coupling and coherent coupling to achieve novel level pinning, and construct an effective anti-parity-time(anti-PT)-symmetric non-Hermitian system that is superior to previous PT-symmetric WPT schemes. On the one hand, the eigenvalue of the anti-PT-symmetric system at resonance frequency is always pure real in both strong and weak coupling regions, and can be used to overcome the transmission efficiency decrease caused by weak coupling, as brought about by, for example, a large size ratio of the transmitter to receiver, or a long transmission *** the other hand, due to the level pinning effect of the two kinds of coupling mechanisms, the working frequency of the system is guaranteed to be locked, so frequency tracking is not required when the position and size of the receiver change. Even if the system deviates from the matching condition, an efficient WPT can be realized, thereby demonstrating the robustness of the level pinning. The experimental results show that when the size ratio of the transmitter coil to the receiver coil is 4.29(which is in the weak coupling region), the transfer efficiency of the anti-PT-symmetric system is nearly 4.3(3.2) times higher than that of the PT-symmetric system when the matching conditions are satisfied(deviated). In this editorial we comment on the article by Zhang et al published in a recent issue of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal *** with appropriate lymph node dissection is still standard curative treatment in locally advanced gastric *** studies point out that gastric cancer surgery is a complex procedure that leads to a high risk of morbidity and *** factors can contribute to the onset of complications with consequent effects on prognosis and increased *** complications can be divided in complications related to anastomosis,to motility and to surgical site *** study presented by Zhang B et al represent an interesting analysis on the possibility to prevent postoperative *** study was performed on 131 patients with distal gastric cancer who underwent gastrectomy with D2 lymph node *** these patients,16%developed early postoperative *** univariate analysis showed that prealbumin level,hypertension,diabetes,history of abdominal surgery,R0 resection,and blood transfusion were factors influencing early postoperative complications after distal ***,the inclusion of the above significant variables in the logistic regression analysis revealed that hypertension,diabetes,a history of abdominal surgery,and blood transfusion were independent predictors of postoperative *** conclusion,preoperative and intraoperative factors can be used to establish an early postoperative nomogram *** results of the study presented by Zhang et al suggest that the prediction model can be used to guide the detection of postoperative complications and has clinical reference value.

Dear Editor,Since the first plant receptor-like kinase(RLK)gene ZmPK1 was cloned from Zea mays in 1990(Walker and Zhang,1990),this large gene family has been extensively studied and shown to play crucial roles in growth,development,and immunity(Tang et al.,2017).RLKs are widespread in the plant ***,biological functions of most RLKs remain largely elusive(Dievart et al.,2020).Given RLKs share a conserved monophyletic RLK/Pelle kinase domain,RLKs in several model plants are classified into distinct families by extracellular domains(Shiu and Bleecker,2001).However,independent domain shuffling in specific lineages drives the origin of novel families,which raises a question what is the landscape of RLKs across the entire plant kingdom?Previously,sequence-homology-based methods have been widely used for RLK identification and classification,which might miss distantly related proteins with similar structures and potential novel families not mentioned in the *** academic community urgently requires a dedicated database for a systematic overview of the RLK gene family,providing data support for in-depth research on RLK ***,we used a topology-based method to accurately isolate the RLKomes from *** obtained RLKomes were further classified into(sub)families based on extracellular *** con-structed a comprehensively curated plant RLK database(https://***/rlkdb),which contains valuable re-sources for investigating the origin and evolution of the RLK fam-ily and multiple online tools for personalized analysis.
