Comprehensive review on ethnomedicinal, phytochemistry and pharmacological profile of Ficus Religiosa L.

Ficus religiosa L.(F. religiosa) or sacred fig is a large perennial tree belonging to the family Moraceae or mulberry family. Though the tree has pan-tropical distribution but originally it is indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and Indochina region. Popularly the tree is named "Pepal or bodhi tree". Traditionally, it is practiced for the treatment of asthma, nose bleeding, heart disorders, diabetes, wound healing, ear problems, constipation, hyperlipidemia, gonorrhea, ulcers and infectious disorders. Chemical analysis demonstrated the presence of numerous bioactives including tannins, phenols, saponins, sugars, alkaloids, methionine, terpenoids, flavonoids, glycosides, proteins, separated amino acids, essential and volatile oils and steroids etc., which are probably responsible for its diverse pharmacological actions. The present work is an attempt to compile up-to-date comprehensive information on F. religiosa that covers its taxonomy, ethnomedicinal importance, phytochemistry, pharmacological attributes and clinical trials. Keeping in mind the various health attributes of F. religiosa, future research can be aimed at in-depth elucidation of the structure-function relationship and multifactorial signalings pathways.

To investigate the impact of hyperglycemia on the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer and identify key molecules associated with high glucose levels in gastric cancer development,RNA sequencing data and clinical features of gastric cancer patients were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)*** glucose-related genes strongly associated with gastric cancer were identified using weighted gene co-expression network and differential analyses.A gastric cancer prognosis signature was constructed based on these genes and patients were categorized into high-and low-risk *** immune statuses of the two patient groups were *** citrate lyase(ACLY),a gene significantly related to the prognosis,was found to be upregulated upon high-glucose *** and molecular analyses confirmed high ACLY expression in gastric cancer tissues and *** Set Enrichment Analysis(GSEA)revealed the involvement of ACLY in cell cycle and DNA replication *** of ACLY affected the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells induced by high glucose *** findings suggest that ACLY,as a high glucose-related gene,plays a critical role in gastric cancer progression.

Conventional wing aerodynamic optimization processes can be time-consuming and imprecise due to the complexity of versatile flight *** of existing literature has considered two-dimensional infinite airfoil optimization,while three-dimensional finite wing optimizations are subject to limited study because of high computational *** we create an adaptive optimization methodology built upon digitized wing shape deformation and deep learning algorithms,which enable the rapid formulation of finite wing designs for specific aerodynamic performance demands under different cruise *** methodology unfolds in three stages:radial basis function interpolated wing generation,collection of inputs from computational fluid dynamics simulations,and deep neural network that constructs the surrogate model for the optimal wing *** has been demonstrated that the proposed methodology can significantly reduce the computational cost of numerical *** also has the potential to optimize various aerial vehicles undergoing different mission environments,loading conditions,and safety requirements.

Leakage currents accelerate surface degradation of metal contacts via small scale arcing across lubricating films,but recent observations suggest that metallic nanoparticle additives in lubricants may be useful to improve contact *** findings prompted a study that examined electrically induced surface pitting of steel contacts in the presence of several lubricating greases including some containing nanometer-sized colloidal silver(Ag)*** rolling sphere-on-disk experiments were conducted under electro-tribological loads employing polyurea greases derived from mineral and synthetic base oils with and without *** forces and electrical resistance were monitored continuously during the tests;surface changes were characterized by means of optical spectroscopy,stylus profilometry,and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)including compositional analysis using energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The observations demonstrate that surface pitting induced by arcing occurs mainly at the points were the rolling motion changes direction and that eroded metal is deposited along the wear ***-sized pits are formed which contain carbon and oxygen indicating that arcing causes decomposition of the hydrocarbon *** findings indicate a significant inhibition of pitting is induced by the Ag nanoparticles;some greases containing other additives exhibit a similar,although less pronounced,effect.

Systematic optimization of the photocatalyst and investigation of the role of each component is important to maximizing catalytic activity and comprehending the photocatalytic conversion of CO_(2) reduction to solar fuels.A surface-modified Ag@Ru-P25 photocatalyst with H_(2)O_(2) treatment was designed in this study to convert CO_(2) and H_(2)O vapor into highly selective *** doping followed by Ag nanoparticles(NPs)cocatalyst deposition on P25(TiO_(2))enhances visible light absorption and charge separation,whereas H_(2)O_(2) treatment modifies the surface of the photocatalyst with hydroxyl(–OH)groups and promotes CO_(2) ***-resonance transmission electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray absorption near-edge structure,and extended X-ray absorption fine structure techniques were used to analyze the surface and chemical composition of the photocatalyst,while thermogravimetric analysis,CO_(2) adsorption isotherm,and temperature programmed desorption study were performed to examine the significance of H_(2)O_(2) treatment in increasing CO_(2) reduction *** optimized Ag1.0@Ru1.0-P25 photocatalyst performed excellent CO_(2) reduction activity into CO,CH4,and C2H6 with a~95%selectivity of CH4,where the activity was~135 times higher than that of pristine TiO_(2)(P25).For the first time,this work explored the effect of H_(2)O_(2) treatment on the photocatalyst that dramatically increases CO_(2) reduction activity.

The polymer translocation through a nanopore from a donor space(or named cis side) to a receiver space(trans side) in the chaperone-induced crowded environment has attracted increasing attention in recent years due to its significance in biological systems and technological applications. In this work, we mainly focus on the effects of chaperone concentration and chaperone-polymer interaction on the polymer translocation. By assuming the polymer translocation to be a quasi-equilibrium process, the free energy F of the polymer can be estimated by Rosenbluth-Rosenbluth method and then the translocation time τ can be calculated by Fokker-Plank equation based on the obtained free energy landscape. Our calculation results show that the translocation time can be controlled by independently tuning the chaperone concentration and chaperone-polymer interaction at the cis side or the trans side. There exists a critical chaperone-polymer attraction ε~*=-0.2 at which the volume exclusion and interaction effects of the chaperone can balance each other. Additionally, we also find that at large chaperone-polymer attraction, the translocation time is mainly governed by the diffusion coefficient of the polymer.

This paper proposes design charts for estimating imperative input parameters for continuum approach analysis of the nonlinear dynamic response of *** and analytical studies using continuum approach have been conducted on single and 2×2 grouped piles under coupled and vertical modes of vibration,for different dynamic forces and pile *** these design charts are derived from model piles,the charts have been validated for prototype pile foundations using scaling *** experimental responses of model piles are scaled up and these responses exhibit good agreement with analytical *** study also extends to estimation of the errors in computing frequency–amplitude responses with an increase in pile *** is found that,with an increase in pile length,the errors also *** effectiveness of the proposed design charts is also checked with data based on different field setups given in existing literature,and these charts are found to be ***,the developed design charts can be beneficial in estimating the input parameters for continuum approach analysis for determining the nonlinear responses of pile supported machine foundations.

Getting the Most Out of Every Training Day: The Influence of Instructors on Self-Regulated Learning During Firefighter Leadership Courses

Leadership courses in the fire services are highly challenging, and they can seriously exhaust trainees and hamper their selfregulated learning efforts(for example, setting goals, focusing attention, seeking feedback). We theorize that experiences of failure or overload can curtail trainees' available energy resources on subsequent training days, which, in turn, should affect trainees' learning efforts. Given instructors' central role in leadership courses, we hypothesize that supportive and humble instructor behaviors decrease experiences of failure and overload and, thus, increase self-regulated learning. Moreover, we argue that supportive instructor behavior may amplify the positive effects of high energy resources, while humble behavior may alleviate the negative impact of low resource levels. We tested preregistered hypotheses with 118 firefighters participating in two-week leadership courses at a German fire academy. The participants completed short web-based questionnaires before and after classes each day. Multilevel analyses confirmed that perceived daily supportive and humble instructor behavior predicted trainees' reports of daily self-regulated learning activity. Notably, this effect was independent from positive effects of trainees' reported energy resources in the morning. Supportive and humble behavior did not moderate the eff ect of energy resources. Our findings suggest that instructors play a crucial role in facilitating effective learning under challenging training conditions. Furthermore, we offer implications for leaders in fire services, who often conduct trainings with their subordinates.

Surface chokes are widely utilized equipment installed on wellheads to control hydrocarbon flow *** correlations have been suggested to model the multiphase flow of oil and gas via surface ***, substantial errors have been reported in empirical fitting models and correlations to estimate hydrocarbon flow because of the reservoir's heterogeneity, anisotropism, variance in reservoir fluid characteristics at diverse subsurface depths, which introduces complexity in production data. Therefore,the estimation of daily oil and gas production rates is still challenging for the petroleum ***, hybrid data-driven techniques have been reported to be effective for estimation problems in various aspects of the petroleum domain. This paper investigates hybrid ensemble data-driven approaches to forecast multiphase flow rates through the surface choke(viz. stacked generalization and voting architectures), followed by an assessment of the impact of input production control ***, machine learning models are also trained and tested individually on the production data of hydrocarbon wells located in North Sea. Feature engineering has been properly applied to select the most suitable contributing control variables for daily production rate forecasting. This study provides a chronological explanation of the data analytics required for the interpretation of production data. The test results reveal the estimation performance of the stacked generalization architecture has outperformed other significant paradigms considered for production forecasting.
