OBJECTIVE:To reveal the potential underlying mechanism of the Shenqi Tiaoshen formula(参芪调肾方,SQTS)in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)by utilizing network pharmacology,molecular docking,and experimental ***:Multiple open-source databases and research related to Traditional Chinese medicine or compounds were employed to screen active ingredients and corresponding potential targets of the *** protein-protein interaction network screened hub genes,the relevant molecular mechanism and gene regulation were initially identified through the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)and Gene Ontology(GO)analysis,and molecular docking was used to confirm further the interaction of the main components bound to the core *** vivo experiments on the COPD combined Qi-deficiency syndrome rat model were performed to verify the intervention effects and predicted potential molecular mechanisms of the ***:This study selected 156 active compounds and 326 candidate targets for treating ***,Nobiletin,Kaempferol,Luteolin,Ginsenoside Rh2 and Formononetin were probably the main active compounds of SQTS in COPD treatment as they affected the most COPD-related targets,and interleukin-1(IL-6),signal transducing activator of transcription 3(STAT3),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9),vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA),protein kinase B(AKT1),hypoxiainducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),and forkhead box O3(FoxO3)were identified as the hub genes associated with its therapeutic *** analysis was mainly enriched in the signaling pathways closely related to inflammation,immunity and oxidative stress,such as HIF-1,tumor necrosis factor(TNF),phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K)-AKT,FoxO,apoptosis,IL-17,and toll-like *** docking confirmed that the main active components shared a good affinity with the hub *** vivo experiments,the SQTS was found to improve the body weight,exhaustive swimming time,tailhangin

Pulmonary infections pose formidable challenges in clinical settings with high mortality rates across all age groups *** diagnosis and early intervention are crucial to improve patient *** intelligence(AI)has the capability to mine imaging features specific to different pathogens and fuse multimodal features to reach a synergistic diagnosis,enabling more precise investigation and individualized clinical *** this study,we successfully developed a multimodal integration(MMI)pipeline to differentiate among bacterial,fungal,and viral pneumonia and pulmonary tuberculosis based on a real-world dataset of 24,107 *** area under the curve(AUC)of the MMI system comprising clinical text and computed tomography(CT)image scans yielded 0.910(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.904–0.916)and 0.887(95%CI:0.867–0.909)in the internal and external testing datasets respectively,which were comparable to those of experienced ***,the MMI system was utilized to rapidly differentiate between viral subtypes with a mean AUC of 0.822(95%CI:0.805–0.837)and bacterial subtypes with a mean AUC of 0.803(95%CI:0.775–0.830).Here,the MMI system harbors the potential to guide tailored medication recommendations,thus mitigating the risk of antibiotic ***,the integration of multimodal factors in the AI-driven system also provided an evident advantage in predicting risks of developing critical illness,contributing to more informed clinical *** revolutionize medical care,embracing multimodal AI tools in pulmonary infections will pave the way to further facilitate early intervention and precise management in the foreseeable future.

Background Pediatric post coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)condition(PPCC)is a heterogeneous syndrome,which can significantly affect the daily lives of *** study aimed to identify clinically meaningful phenotypes in children with PPCC,to better characterize and treat this *** Participants were children with physician-diagnosed PPCC,referred to the academic hospital Amsterdam UMC in the Netherlands between November 2021 and March *** factors and information on post-COVID symptoms,comorbidities,and impact on daily life were *** clusters were identified using an unsupervised and unbiased approach for mixed data *** Analysis of 111 patients(aged 3–18 years)revealed three distinct clusters within *** 1(n=62,median age=15 years)predominantly consisted of girls(74.2%).These patients suffered relatively more from exercise intolerance,dyspnea,and smell *** 2(n=33,median age=13 years)contained patients with an even gender distribution(51.5%girls).They suffered from relatively more sleep problems,memory loss,gastrointestinal symptoms,and *** 3(n=16,median age=11 years)had a higher proportion of boys(75.0%),suffered relatively more from fever,had significantly fewer symptoms(median of 5 symptoms compared to 8 and 10 for clusters 1 and 2 respectively),and experienced a lower impact on daily *** This study identified three distinct clinical PPCC phenotypes,with variations in sex,age,symptom patterns,and impact on daily *** findings highlight the need for further research to understand the potentially diverse underlying mechanisms contributing to post-COVID symptoms in children.

Objective To explore the effectiveness of a nutritional intervention in rescuers who screened positive for *** A randomized controlled trial design was *** June to August,2022,4,460 rescuers were screened using the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),and 1,615 positive cases were ***-one volunteers were recruited and randomly divided into a nutritional intervention group and a control *** intervention group received health education and nutritional intervention(a compound paste therapy primarily composed of red roses and Seville orange flowers),while the control group received psychological *** scores were assessed before and after the *** There was a statistically significant decline in SDS scores in the nutritional intervention group after the intervention(P<0.05).Furthermore,the SDS scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group,both before and after the intervention(P<0.05).No severe adverse reactions were observed during safety *** The nutritional intervention effectively reduced the depression scores in *** nutritional intervention is recommended for rescuers who initially screen positive for depression.

BACKGROUND Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)have large fluctuations in blood glucose(BG),abnormal metabolic function and low immunity to varying degrees,which increases the risk of malignant tumor diseases and affects the efficacy of tumor *** hyperglycemia may have important therapeutic implications for cancer *** To clarify the influence of BG fluctuations on chemotherapy efficacy and safety in T2DM patients complicated with lung carcinoma(LC).METHODS The clinical data of 60 T2DM+LC patients who presented to the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University between January 2019 and January 2021 were retrospectively *** patients underwent chemotherapy and were grouped as a control group(CG;normal BG fluctuation with a mean fluctuation<3.9 mmol/L)and an observation group(OG;high BG fluctuation with a mean fluctuation≥3.9 mmol/L)based on their BG fluctuations,with 30 cases *** indices,tumor markers,serum inflammatory cytokines and adverse reactions were comparatively *** correlation analysis was performed to analyze the correlation between BG fluctuations and tumor *** The fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels in the OG were notably elevated compared with those in the CG,together with markedly higher mean amplitude of glycemic excursions(MAGE),mean of daily differences,largest amplitude of glycemic excursions and standard deviation of blood glucose(P<0.05).In addition,the OG exhibited evidently higher levels of carbohydrate antigen 19-9,carbohydrate antigen 125,carcinoembryonic antigen,neuron-specific enolase,cytokeratin 19,tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,and highsensitivity C-reactive protein than the CG(P<0.05).Pearson analysis revealed a positive association of MAGE with serum tumor *** incidence of adverse reactions was significantly higher in the OG than in the CG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The greater the BG fluctuation in LC patients after
