Converting CO_(2) into value-added chemicals and fuels through various catalytic methods to lower the atmospheric CO_(2) concentration has been developed to be a crucial means to alleviate the energy shortage and ameliorate the ever-fragile environment status. However, the complexity of the CO_(2) conversion reaction and the strong reduction conditions lead to the inevitable structural evolution, making it difficult for the prior design of suitable catalytic materials. Herein, to guide the rational design of efficient catalysts,we will be centered on the thermal, electro, and photo-induced structural evolution and active species identification during the CO_(2) conversion, including the in situ/operando characterization techniques monitoring the activation, steady, and deactivation stage of the catalysts as well as the inherent restructuring mechanism towards active species. Besides, the future challenges and opportunities on the merits of combining the structural evolution with the adsorbed intermediates recognized by ultra-fast spectroscopic techniques, simultaneously, the combination of theoretical simulation and the results of in situ experiments will also be addressed. This review can not only guide the identification of real active species, but also provide an approach to design the specific active species towards CO_(2) conversion, rather than only focusing on activity, for the purpose of practical industrial application.

Two-dimensional(2D)molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))holds great potential for various applications such as electronic devices,catalysis,lubrication,anti-corrosion and so *** evaporation is a versatile thin film deposition technique,however,the conventional thermal evaporation techniques face challenges in producing uniform thin films of MoS_(2) due to its high melting temperature of 1375℃.As a result,only thick and rough MoS_(2) films can be obtained using these *** address this issue,we have designed a vacuum thermal evaporation system specifically for large-scale preparation of MoS_(2) thin *** using K2MoS4 as the precursor,we achieved reliable deposition of uniform polycrystalline MoS_(2) thin films with a size of 50 mm×50 mm and controllable thickness ranging from 0.8 to 2.4 *** approach also allows for patterned deposition of MoS_(2) using shadow masks and sequential deposition of MoS_(2) and tungsten disulfide(WS_(2)),similar to conventional thermal evaporation ***,we have demonstrated the potential applications of the obtained MoS_(2) thin films in field effect transistors(FETs),memristors and electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).

Electrocatalytic semi-hydrogenation of acetylene(C_(2)H_(2))over copper nanoparticles(Cu NPs)offers a promising non-petroleum alternative for the green production of ethylene(C2H4).However,server hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)competition in this process prominently decreases C2H4 selectivity,thereby hindering its practical ***,a Cu-based composite catalyst,wherein porous carbon with nanoscale pores was used as a support,is constructed to gather the C_(2)H_(2) feedstocks for suppressing the undesirable *** a result,the as-prepared catalyst exhibited C_(2)H_(2) conversion of 27.1%and C_(2)H_(4) selectivity of 88.4%at a C2H4 partial current density of 0.25 A/cm^(2) under optimal−1.0 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)under the simulated coal-derived C_(2)H_(2) atmosphere,significantly outperforming the single Cu NPs *** addition,a series of in situ and ex situ experimental results show that not only the porous nature of the carbon support but also the stabilized Cu^(0)–Cu^(+) dual active sites through the strong metal–support interactions enhance the adsorption capacity of C_(2)H_(2),leading to high C_(2)H_(2) partial pressure,restraining the HER and thus improving the C2H4 selectivity.

Sexual reproduction first appeared in unicellular protists and has continued to be an essential biological process in almost all *** protists, which contain both germline and somatic genomes within a single cell, have evolved a special form of sexual reproduction called conjugation that involves mitosis, meiosis, fertilization, nuclear differentiation, genome rearrangement, and the development of unique cellular structures. The molecular basis and mechanisms of conjugation vary dramatically among ciliates, and many details of the process and its regulation are still largely unknown. In order to better comprehend these processes and mechanisms from an evolutionary perspective, this study provides the first comprehensive overview of the transcriptome and proteome profiles during the entire life cycle of the newly-established marine model ciliate Euplotes vannus. Transcriptome analyses from 14 life cycle stages(three vegetative stages and 11sexual stages) revealed over 26,000 genes that are specifically expressed at different stages, many of which are related to DNA replication,transcription, translation, mitosis, meiosis, nuclear differentiation, and/or genome rearrangement. Quantitative proteomic analyses identified 338 proteins with homologs associated with conjugation and/or somatic nuclear development in other ciliates, including dicer-like proteins, Hsp90 proteins, RNA polymerase II and transcription elongation factors, ribosomal-associated proteins, and ubiquitin-related proteins. Four of these homologs belong to the PIWI family, each with different expression patterns identified and confirmed by RT-qPCR,which may function in small RNA-mediated genome rearrangement. Proteins involved in the nonhomologous end-joining pathway are induced early during meiosis and accumulate in the developing new somatic nucleus, where more than 80% of the germline sequences are eliminated from the somatic genome. Species of the ciliate class Heterotrichea Stein,1859 are a cosmopolitan group of unicellular eukaryotic microorganisms,many of which have been widely used as models in various fields of research such as regenerative biology,functional ecol-ogy,environmental toxicology,and symbiotic ***,species identification in the heterotrich family Condylos-tomatidae,especially the most species-rich and type genus Condylostoma Bory de Saint-Vincent,1824,remains challenging due to incomplete original descriptions,few reliable distinguishing characters,and overlapping features between different *** study presents an updated revision of Condylostoma and its related genus Condylostomides da Silva Neto,1994 based on descriptions of five species,including nine populations collected from China,using both morphological and molecular *** main findings are as follows:(1)43 nominal species and about 130 populations are reviewed,result-ing in the recognition of 30 valid species of Condylostoma and eight valid species of Condylostomides;(2)keys,synonyms,biogeographic distributions and amended/improved diagnoses of all valid species are provided;(3)based on the available data,four new Condylostoma species(*** ***.,*** ***.,*** ***.,and *** ***.),one new combination(Condylostomides minimus(Dragesco,1954)***.&***.),and two corrected names(Condylostoma ancestrale Villeneuve-Brachon,1940 *** Condylostomides nigrus(Dragesco,1960)***.)are suggested;(4)cryptic species are detected and proposed for the first time to form the Condylostoma curvum spe-cies complex;(5)three highly confusing Condylostoma species,***,***,and ***,are redefined for the first time based on modern taxonomic methods;(6)a‘flagship’species,Condylostomides coeruleus,is recorded for the first time from the continent of Asia,substantially expanding its biogeography;(7)ciliature adjacent to the distal end of the paroral mem

The combination of the first-line standard chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin hydrochloride(DOX)and the molecular-targeted drug Herceptin(HCT)has emerged as a promising strategy for human epidermal growth receptor 2(HER-2)overexpressing breast cancer ***,insufficient drug accumulation and severe cardiotoxicity are two major challenges that limit its clinical ***,an in situ forming gold nanorods(AuNRs)-sodium alginate(ALG)hybrid hydrogel encapsulating DOX and HCT was engineered for tumor synergistic therapy involving injectable,dual-stimuli-responsive drug release,photothermal ablation,and drug-antibody synergistic *** photothermal agent AuNRs,anticancer drug DOX,and anticancer antibody HCT were mixed in ALG solution,and after injection,the soluble ALG was quickly transformed into a hydrogel in the presence of Ca^(2+)in the ***,the hybrid hydrogel exhibits an extremely high photothermal conversion efficiency of 70%under 808 nm laser *** thermal effect can also provide photothermal stimulation to trigger the drug release from the gel *** addition,the drug release rate and the releasing degree are also sensitive to the *** vitro studies demonstrated that the PEI-AuNR/DOX/HCT/ALG hydrogel has facilitated the therapeutic efficiency of each payload and demonstrated a strong synergistic killing effect on SK-BR-3 *** vivo imaging results showed that the local drug delivery system can effectively reduce the nonspecific distribution in normal tissues and increase drug concentration at tumor *** proposed hydrogel system shows significant clinical implications by easily introducing a sustainable photothermal therapy and a potential universal carrier for the local delivery of multiple drugs to overcome the challenges faced in HER-2 overexpressing cancer therapy.
