Effect of CeO_(2)on Activity of Catalysts CuO/ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3)/CeO_(2)for Synthesis of Methanol

The size of the nanoparticles and the number of oxygen vacancies have a significant effect on the catalytic activity of copper-based catalysts used for the synthesis of methanol from *** this study,the authors prepared a series of catalysts CuO/ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3)/CeO_(2)(CZAC)with CuO particles of different sizes and varying number of oxygen vacancies on the surface by changing the added volume of CeO2 by using the co-precipitation *** properties of the catalysts were characterized and their activity was evaluated by using high-pressure fixed-bed reaction *** results showed that the addition of CeO_(2)to CuO/ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3)not only influenced the size of the CuO particles and metal-metal interactions,but also had an effect on the concentrations of oxygen vacancies and strongly basic *** presence of CuO particles of small sizes and a large numbers of oxygen vacancies on the surface of the catalyst were beneficial to its activity for the synthesis of *** catalyst CZAC,when modified by 5%of CeO_(2),recorded CuO particles of the smallest size(8.9 nm),strong intermetallic interactions,and the highest concentrations of oxygen vacancies and strongly basic *** also exhibited the highest catalytic activity,with a space-time yield of methanol of 0.315 g/(h·g)that was higher than that of the enterprise RK-5 catalyst[0.215 g/(h·g)].

Reverse electrodialysis(RED)is an emerging membrane-based technology for the production of renewable energy from mixing waters with different ***,the impact of the stack configuration on the Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances as well as the performance of RED were systematically studied by using in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).Three different parameters(membrane type,number of cell pairs and spacer design)were *** Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances were evaluated for RED stacks equipped with two types of commercial membranes(Type I and Type II)supplied by Fujifilm Manufacturing Europe B.V:Type I Fuji membranes displayed higher Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances than Type II membranes,which was mainly attributed to the difference in fixed charge *** output power of the stack was observed to decrease with the increasing number of cell pairs mainly due to the increase in ionic shortcut *** the reduction in spacer thickness from 750 to 200μm,the permselectivity of membranes in the stack decreased from 0.86 to 0.79 whereas the energy efificiency losses increased from 31%to 49%.Overall,the output of the present study provides a basis for understanding the impact of stack design on internal losses during the scaling-up of RED.

Many existing intelligent recognition technologies require huge datasets for model ***,it is not easy to collect rectal cancer images,so the performance is usually low with limited training *** addition,traditional rectal cancer staging is time-consuming,error-prone,and susceptible to physicians’subjective awareness as well as professional *** settle these deficiencies,we propose a novel deep-learning model to classify the rectal cancer stages of T2 and ***,a novel deep learning model(RectalNet)is constructed based on residual learning,which combines the squeeze-excitation with the asymptotic output layer and new cross-convolution layer links in the residual block ***,a two-stage data augmentation is designed to increase the number of images and reduce deep learning’s dependence on the volume of *** experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method is superior to many existing ones,with an overall accuracy of ***,other traditional techniques,such as VGG16,DenseNet121,EL,and DERNet,have an average accuracy of 0.6981,0.7032,0.7500,and 0.7685,respectively.

Sr_2Mg(BO_3)_2 doped with Eu was synthesized respectively in air and weak reducing atmosphere (combustion of carbon particle), whose photoluminescence characteristics and structure were also studied at room-temperature. In air, the fluorescent body′s color was white for different synthesized temperatures. At room temperature, the sample was excited and showed red typical emission spectrum of Eu 3+ whose emission apex were sharp near 612 nm and emission spectrum was made up of the charge transformation band (CTB) of Eu 3+ and excitation spectrum of 4f→4f high energy level transition, then reached the area of VUV. However, under reducing atmosphere (combustion of carbon particles), the color of the sample yielded was yellow, whose color became deeper with increasing temperature and showed phase transition. Using UV excitation, the luminescence of yellow sample was very weak. In a complicated broad spectrum at visible light area,the red emission spectrum of Eu 2+ was not observed. Crystal structure and luminescence of the sample were completely different from the results of Diaz and Keszler. Two samples were prepared under oxidation and reducing atmosphere at high temperature, which were different on crystal structure and microstructure. By studying Sr_2Mg(BO_3)_2∶Eu 3+ a series of directional faults or educts were found, because Eu 3+ ions substituted for Sr 2+ ions. However, microstructure of Sr_2Mg(BO_3)_2∶Eu 2+ is more complicated, whose excitation spectrum might be excited by Eu 2+. By XRD patten of the samples, phase transition could be found. Twins and clusters that were formed from point defect such as interstitial atom and big angle crystal boundary could be found by TEM.

L■-convexity, one of the central concepts in discrete convex analysis, receives significant attentions in the operations literature in recent years as it provides a powerful tool to derive structures of optimal policies and allows for efficient computational procedures. In this paper, we present a survey of key properties of L■-convexity and some closely related results in lattice programming, several of which were developed recently and motivated by operations applications. As a new contribution to the literature, we establish the relationship between a notion called m-differential monotonicity and L■-convexity. We then illustrate the techniques of applying L■-convexity through a detailed analysis of a perishable inventory model and a joint inventory and transshipment control model with random capacities.

For small and medium sized enterprises,portfolio management can be a difficult exercise;especially when the available paths forwards are shrouded in *** overcome this,they are required to research and decide upon the path to follow,but this can be difficult when the information to gather is unclear,leading to ad-hoc processes and *** motivation for this project originated from a small and medium sized enterprise experiencing this problem of unknown critical information and a technological portfolio with significant *** no procedure or method in place,they conducted the research in an ad-hoc way resulting in uncertainty and low repeatability of *** tackle this problem,innovation structuring frameworks were synthesised with appropriate risks and context to pose a new structure for information *** resulting structure was tested within the small and medium sized enterprise to investigate the repeatability of the information capture and the subsequent *** proposed structure was also analysed by-process experts for its wider *** the small and medium sized enterprise,this led to a consistent and repeatable method that delivered increased confidence about selecting a path forwards for its *** addition,it was found to be applicable to external organisations increasing the moders worth and *** implications of this work have led to a change in the operational procedure of the small and medium sized enterprise to utilise the defined process for researching new ideas for their portfolio which can lead to repeatable and trustworthy *** also has applicability to other similar companies and could lead them through a repeatable process as presented here.
