Experimental and numerical studies of nonlinear ultrasonic responses on plastic deformation in weld joints

The experimental measurements and numerical simulations are performed to study ultrasonic nonlinear responses from the plastic deformation in weld joints. The ultrasonic nonlinear signals are measured in the plastic deformed30Cr2Ni4 Mo V specimens, and the results show that the nonlinear parameter monotonically increases with the plastic strain, and that the variation of nonlinear parameter in the weld region is maximal compared with those in the heat-affected zone and base regions. Microscopic images relating to the microstructure evolution of the weld region are studied to reveal that the change of nonlinear parameter is mainly attributed to dislocation evolutions in the process of plastic deformation loading. Meanwhile, the finite element model is developed to investigate nonlinear behaviors of ultrasonic waves propagating in a plastic deformed material based on the nonlinear stress–strain constitutive relationship in a medium. Moreover, a pinned string model is adopted to simulate dislocation evolution during plastic damages. The simulation and experimental results show that they are in good consistency with each other, and reveal a rising acoustic nonlinearity due to the variations of dislocation length and density and the resulting stress concentration.

[Objectives]To explore the therapeutic effect of Polygonum capitatum on renal calculus in rats based on network pharmacology.[Methods]Through the preliminary construction of ***-urolithiasis disease target network,explore the active components,action pathway and action target of ***-urolithiasis treatment,and use 1%ethylene glycol+2%ammonium chloride to induce SD rat kidney calcium oxalate stone model to verify the efficacy of ***-urolithiasis treatment.[Results]Through the network pharmacological prediction,it is found that the important active components in *** were quercetin,gallic acid,rutin,silybin,catechin,kaempferol and so on;potential active targets include INS,CAT,IL-6,MOCOS,*** results also suggest that forkhead transcription factor signaling pathway(FoxO signaling pathway),tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway(TNF signaling pathway)and hypoxia-inducible factor signaling pathway(HIF-1 signaling pathway)are the core *** results of biochemical indicators in animal experiment showed that the contents of serum urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(Cr)and malondialdehyde(MDA)in renal tissue in the treatment group(200,500 mg/kg)were significantly lower than those in the model group,while the content of superoxide dismutase(SOD)was significantly higher than that in the model *** addition,the kidney tissue H&E staining sections showed that *** alcohol extract administration group rats kidney calcium oxalate crystals were significantly reduced compared with the model group,the degree of renal tubular lumen expansion was lighter than the model group,suggesting that *** alcohol extract has the effect of improving renal calculus in rats.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical reference for the deep development of *** in the treatment of renal calculus.

A novel photodetector based on double-walled carbon nanotube （DWCNT） film/TiO2 nanotube array （TNA） heterojunctions was fabricated, which exhibited high photoresponse in a broad spectral range. The photoresponse of the detector was dramatically dependent on the length of the TNAs. High photocurrent-to-dark current ratio with a value of 3360 was observed in the visible range by optimizing the lengths of the TNAs. The photosensitive regions could be extended into the near-infrared range. These results reveal that DWCNT film/TNA heterojunctions show potential applications for broad band photodetectors.

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of fatigue upon kicking maximal ball velocity and the target-hitting accuracy of soccer players;and also to examine the effect of the knowledge of the exercise duration upon these 2 ***:Twenty-four semi-professional soccer players participated in this study and performed maximal instep kicks before and after the implementation of an exercise protocol,either with or without knowledge of the duration of this ***:A mixed model of analysis of variance showed that kicking maximal ball velocity was significantly affected(F(5,85)=11.6,p<0.001,η^2=0.39) but only after just 1 circuit of the fatigue protocol and then remained *** did not change during the protocol(F(5,75)=0.23,p=0.76,η^2=0.03) and knowing the duration of exercitation did not affect accuracy and velocity development(F(1,23) ≤1.04,p≥0.32,η~2≤0.06).Conclusion:These findings demonstrated the potential negative effects of fatigue on kicking ball velocity in soccer but not in the kicking accuracy and that the effect of fatigue may not be progressive over *** or not knowing the duration of exercitation did not affect the results.

Assessing the publication output in the field of forensic science and legal medicine using Web of Science database from 2011 to 2020

The aim of this study was ***,it analyzed the characteristics of the publication outputs for the Legal Medicine(LM)category using the Web of Science(WoS)database during ***,it discussed the distribution of the papers for the 25 most productive countries/regions in terms of quality and quantity,such as the h-index and GDP per ***,it investigated the trend and temporal stability of the journal impact factor(JIF)and determined the percentage of the journal *** findings suggested that the number of papers,the average number of pages of the papers,the average number of cited references in the papers,the average number of authors per paper,the percentage of open access papers,as well as international and domestic collaboration tended to increase ***,the productivity was limited when compared to the whole WoS database,since there was no significant change in the number of the *** countries/regions with the highest number of publications were not those that made the most impact in terms of the widespread impact of the *** level of international cooperation and the funding for the research had dramatic impact on the visibility of *** average JIF has increased significantly while the journal self-citation rates have decreased in a similar *** journals have had very stable(have not fluctuated)impact factors over *** the period studied,the journals with the higher impact factors(Q1,Q2)published many more papers than journals with the lower impact factors(Q3,Q4).

Background: Chronic inflammation is an important etiologic mechanism for muscle atrophy. Oat-derived phytochemical avenanthramides(AVAs) have been shown to suppress inflammatory responses in human clinical studies and in several cell lines in vitro, but their role in skeletal muscle is unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate whether AVA treatment can prevent tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-a-induced muscle fiber atrophy in C2 C12 ***: We treated 70% confluent cells for 24 h with AVA. Then, TNF-a was added to cell-cultured medium. Subsequently, cells were harvested at different time points. The cells were examined using various biochemical techniques for measuring protein, messenger RNA levels,nuclear binding activity, and viability. Fluorescence microscope was used for analysis of the myotube ***: Cells treated with TNF-a significantly increased nuclear factor k B activation, indicated by a marked decrease of Ik B(p < 0.05) and a6.6-fold increase in p65-DNA binding(p < 0.01); however, 30 mmol of AVA-A,-B, and-C treatment reduced the binding by 33%, 18%, and19%(p < 0.01), respectively, compared with cells treated with TNF-a without AVA. The interleukin-6 level increased by 2.5 fold(p < 0.01)with TNF-a, but decreased by 24%, 32%, and 28%(p < 0.01), respectively, with AVA-A,-B, and-C. The interleukin-1 b level also showed a47% increase with TNF-a(p < 0.01), whereas this increment was abolished in all AVA-treated cells. Reactive oxygen species production was1.3-fold higher in the TNF-a-treated group(p < 0.01) but not in the TNF-a + AVAs groups. Messenger RNA levels of muscle-specific E3 ubiquitin ligase atrogin-1 increased 23% in TNF-a vs. control(p < 0.05) but was decreased by 46%, 34%, and 53%(p < 0.01), respectively, with treatment of AVA-A,-B, and-C. Moreover, TNF-a treatment increased the muscle RING finger 1 messenger RNA level by 76%(p < 0.01);this change was abolished by AVAs. Cells treated with TNF-a demonstrated a reduced prolifer
