Ant Lion Algorithm for Optimized Controller Gains for Power Quality Enrichment of Off-grid Wind Power Harnessing Units

The proposed system uses an algorithm that works on the admittance of the system,for estimating the reference values of generated currents for an off-grid wind power harnessing unit(WPHU).The controller controls the voltage and maintains the frequency within the limits while working with both linear and nonlinear loads for varying wind *** admittance algorithm is simple and easy to implement and works very efficiently to generate the triggering signals for the controller of the *** wind power harnessing unit comprising of a squirrel cage induction generator,a star-delta transformer,a battery storage system and the control unit are modeled using Matlab/Simulink *** isolated transformer with a star-delta configuration connects the load and the generator circuit with the controller to reduce the dc bus voltage and mitigate current in the neutral *** response of the system during the dynamic loading depends on the best possible compensator proportional-integral(PI)*** antlion optimization algorithm is compared with particle swarm optimization and grey wolf optimization and is found to have the advantages of good convergence,high efficiency and fast calculating *** is therefore used to extract the optimal values of frequency and voltage PI *** simulation results of the control algorithm for the WPHU are validated in a real-time environment in a dSpace1104 laboratory set *** algorithm is proven to have a quick response,maintain the required frequency,suppress the current harmonics,regulate voltage,help in balancing the load and compensating for the neutral current.

Wireless communications have become an integral part of global convergence as global connectedness has gradually become dependent on its efficient *** need for"more-broadband"techniques in relation to the ever increasing growth rate of the data hungry society now necessitates novel techniques for the high-speed data *** advancements have been made in this regard,the projection of having an eventual Internet of everything (IoE) deployment will result in an unimaginable transmission data rate requirement as huge data traffic will be conveyed per time within the communications network,which will require a capacity upgrade of the existing *** light communications (VLCs),as an integral part of optical wireless communications (OWCs),have been reviewed in this article,having the capacity to extend the achievable data rate requirement of the wireless communications *** technologies,techniques,and best practices have been presented alongside technology integration for the seamless high capacity wireless broadband deployment.

Performance Enhancement of PV Based Boost Cascaded Fifteen Level Inverter for AC Loads

In this research work,single-stageﬁfteen levels cascaded DC-interface converter(CDDCLC)is proposed for sun arranged photovoltaic technology(PV)*** proposed geography is joined with help DC chopper and H-associate inverter to upgrade the power converter to accomplish the diminished harmonic proﬁ*** assessment with the customary inverter structures,the proposed system is used with diminished voltage stress,decreased switch count and DC source *** proposed research work with cascaded DC link conver-ter design requires three DC sources for combiningﬁfteen-level AC *** investigation structure switching technique is phase opposition and disposition pulse width modulation technique(POPD)which results in improved quality of obtained output AC power with 6.73%THD and also determinedly recommended for power converters used in UPS and drive applications since it is extremely affordable.A simulation and prototype model ofﬁfteen-level CDDCLC system is deployed and its performance is analyzed for various operating conditions.

Reflection and transmission coefficients of multiple chiral layers

This paper presents a general analysis of reflection and transmission coeffi- cients of multiple chiral layers in detail. Reflection and transmission coefficients through multiple chiral layers are computed and presented particularly for the incident wave of parallel polarization for a number of cases―a wide range of incidence angle, neigh- boring center frequency and different chirality parameters. Transfer matrix method is used in the analysis. From the numerical results, it can be seen that multiple chiral layers may be used as a polarization-conversion transmission filter and antireflection filter at the fre- quency band around the central frequency.

Computer-Assisted Real-Time Rice Variety Learning Using Deep Learning Network

Due to the inconsistency of rice variety,agricultural industry faces an important challenge of rice grading and classification by the traditional grading *** existing grading system is manual,which introduces stress and strain to humans due to visual *** rice grading system development has been proposed as a promising research area in computer *** this study,an accurate deep learning-based non-contact and cost-effective rice grading system was developed by rice appearance and *** proposed system provided real-time processing by using a NI-myRIO with a high-resolution camera and user *** firstly trained the network by a rice public dataset to extract rice discriminative ***,by using transfer learning,the pre-trained network was used to locate the region by extracting a feature *** proposed deep learning model was tested using two public standard datasets and a prototype real-time scanning *** AlexNet architecture,we obtained an average accuracy of 98.2%with 97.6%sensitivity and 96.4%*** validate the real-time performance of proposed rice grading classification system,various performance indices were calculated and compared with the existing *** simulation and real-time experiment evaluations confirmed the robustness and reliability of the proposed rice grading system.

Future networks communication scenarios by the 2030s will include notable applications are three-dimensional(3D)calls,haptics communications,unmanned mobility,tele-operated driving,bio-internet of things,and the Nanointernet of *** the current scenario in which megahertz bandwidth are sufficient to drive the audio and video components of user applications,the future networks of the 2030s will require bandwidths in several gigahertzes(GHz)(from tens of gigahertz to 1 terahertz[THz])to perform *** on the current radio frequency allocation chart,it is not possible to obtain such a wide contiguous radio spectrum below 90 GHz(0.09 THz).Interestingly,these contiguous blocks of radio spectrum are readily available in the higher electromagnetic spectrum,specifically in the Terahertz(THz)frequency *** major contribution of this study is discussing the substantial issues and key features of THz waves,which include(i)key features and significance of THz frequency;(ii)recent regulatory;(iii)the most promising applications;and(iv)possible open research *** research topics were deeply investigated with the aim of providing a specific,synopsis,and encompassing ***,this article will be as a catalyst towards exploring new frontiers for future networks of the 2030s.

Reservation-based dynamic admission control scheme for wideband code division multiple access systems

Call admission control (CAC) and resource reservation (RR) for mobile communication are two important factors that guarantee system efficiency and quality of service (QoS) required for different services in a very scarce resource as the radio spectrum. A new scheme was proposed which extends the concepts of resource sharing and reservations for wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) systems with a unique feature of soft capacity. Voice and data traffic were considered. The traffic is further classified into handoff and new requests. The reservation thresholds were dynamically adjusted according to the traffic pattern and mobility prediction in order to achieve the maximum channel utilization, while guaranteeing different QoS constraints. The performance of proposed scheme was evaluated using Markov models. New call blocking probability, handoff call dropping probability, and channel utilization were used as benchmarks for the proposed scheme.

A signifcant challenge in the progress and development of Building-Integrated-Photovoltaic(B-I-PV)systems is concerned with the extraction of maximum power from PV *** PV system archtecture is an essential feature to extract the maximum *** conventional PV-centralinverter architecture consists of various connections among the PV modules,which are sensitive to shading effects and pro-duces mismatching power loss under partial shading conditions(PSCs),Hence,photovoltaic-distributed-maximum power point tracking(PV-D-MPPT)architecture has been proposed to extract the maximum ***-1 D-MPPT architecture,the output terminals of DC-DC converters are connected either in series or parallel *** main limitation of the series configuration in open-loop MPPT control is the crosscoupling *** of cross-coupling effects,the maximum-power-point(M-P-P)operation of shaded PV modules is lost under *** lost in M-P-P operation of shaded PV module also affects the unshaded modules M-P-P *** crosscoupling ffeets,the DC-DC converters are consuming the power instead of delivering to the *** the research activity,there are hardly any papers presenting a clear,comprehensive and mathematical analysis on the existence of cross-couplings in PV string-integrated-converters(S-1-Cs).This article presents a mathematical analysis and also explains the conditions for the existent of cross-coupling *** experimental results also validate with the mathematically analysed *** article also discusses the modeling of the two-diode model of PV module,design of boost type S-1C,and the Perturb and Observe(P&O)MPPT algorithm implementation.

Improved image denoising via RAISR with fewer filters

In recent years,accurate Gaussian noise removal has attracted considerable attention for mobile applications,as in smart *** conventional denoising methods have the potential ability to improve denoising performance with no additional ***,we propose a rapid post-processing method for Gaussian noise removal in this *** matching and 3D filtering and weighted nuclear norm minimization are utilized to suppress *** these nonlocal image denoising methods have quantitatively high performance,some fine image details are lacking due to the loss of high frequency *** tackle this problem,an improvement to the pioneering RAISR approach(rapid and accurate image super-resolution),is applied to rapidly post-process the denoised *** gives performance comparable to state-of-the-art super-resolution techniques at low computational cost,preserving important image structures *** modification is to reduce the hash classes for the patches extracted from the denoised image and the pixels from the ground truth to 18 filters by two improvements:geometric conversion and reduction of the strength *** addition,following RAISR,the census transform is exploited by blending the image processed by noise removal methods with the filtered one to achieve artifact-free *** results demonstrate that higher quality and more pleasant visual results can be achieved than by other methods,efficiently and with low memory requirements.

Performance analysis of a distributed power control algorithm for shared and split spectrum femtocell networks

In this paper, we study the performance of a distributed power adjustment algorithm for shared and split spectrum allocation setups. The theoretical analysis reveals that the convergence of the power control algorithm is guaranteed under different spectrum allocation schemes and the convergence rate is exponential. The performance analysis is also carried out via simulations which demonstrate the algorithm fairness under Jain＇s and Atkinkons＇ fairness indices.
