This paper proposes a hybrid technique for color image segmentation. First an input image is converted to the image of CIE L＊a＊b＊ color space. The color features ＂a＂ and ＂b＂ of CIE L^＊a^＊b^＊ are then fed into fuzzy C-means （FCM） clustering which is an unsupervised method. The labels obtained from the clustering method FCM are used as a target of the supervised feed forward neural network. The network is trained by the Levenberg-Marquardt back-propagation algorithm, and evaluates its performance using mean square error and regression analysis. The main issues of clustering methods are determining the number of clusters and cluster validity measures. This paper presents a method namely co-occurrence matrix based algorithm for finding the number of clusters and silhouette index values that are used for cluster validation. The proposed method is tested on various color images obtained from the Berkeley database. The segmentation results from the proposed method are validated and the classification accuracy is evaluated by the parameters sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy.

We have proposed a flexible coprocessor key-authentication architecture for 80/112-bit security-related applications over GF(2m)field by employing Elliptic-curve Diffie Hellman(ECDH)*** flexibility,a serial input/output interface is used to load/produce secret,public,and shared keys ***,to reduce the hardware resources and to achieve a reasonable time for cryptographic computations,we have proposed a finite field digit-serial multiplier architecture using combined shift and accumulate ***,two finite-statemachine controllers are used to perform efficient control *** proposed coprocessor architecture over GF(2^(163))and GF(2^(233))is programmed using Verilog and then implemented on Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA(field-programmable-gate-array)*** GF(2^(163))and GF(2^(233)),the proposed flexible coprocessor use 1351 and 1789 slices,the achieved clock frequency is 250 and 235MHz,time for one public key computation is 40.50 and 79.20μs and time for one shared key generation is 81.00 and 158.40μ***,the consumed power over GF(2^(163))and GF(2^(233))is 0.91 and 1.37mW,*** proposed coprocessor architecture outperforms state-of-the-art ECDH designs in terms of hardware resources.

This work investigates the data quality issue for synchrophasor applications, and pays particular attention to synchronization signal loss and synchrophasor data loss events. First, the historical synchronization signal loss events are analyzed and the potential reasons and solutions are discussed. Then, the scenario of a small amount of synchrophasor data loss is studied and a Lagrange interpolating polynomial method is used to adaptively estimate the incomplete and missing data. The performance of proposed method is demonstrated with simulation ***, the proposed method considers the trade-off between the estimation accuracy and the hardware cost,and could be efficiently employed in reality.

Both unit and integration testing are incredibly crucial for almost any software application because each of them operates a distinct process to examine the *** to resource constraints,when software is subjected to modifications,the drastic increase in the count of test cases forces the testers to opt for a test optimization *** such strategy is test case prioritization(TCP).Existing works have propounded various methodologies that re-order the system-level test cases intending to boost either the fault detection capabilities or the coverage efficacy at the ***,singularity in objective functions and the lack of dissimilitude among the re-ordered test sequences have degraded the cogency of their *** such gaps and scenarios when the meteoric and continuous updations in the software make the intensive unit and integration testing process more fragile,this study has introduced a memetics-inspired methodology for *** proposed structure is first embedded with diverse parameters,and then traditional steps of the shuffled-frog-leaping approach(SFLA)are followed to prioritize the test cases at unit and integration *** 5 standard test functions,a comparative analysis is conducted between the established algorithms and the proposed approach,where the latter enhances the coverage rate and fault detection of re-ordered test *** results related to the mean average percentage of fault detection(APFD)confirmed that the proposed approach exceeds the memetic,basic multi-walk,PSO,and optimized multi-walk by 21.7%,13.99%,12.24%,and 11.51%,respectively.

Although significant progress has been made towards effective insight discovery in visual analytics systems, there are few effective approaches for managing the large number of insights generated in visual analytics processes. This paper presents Manylnsights, a multidimensional visual analytics prototype that integrates several novel insight management approaches proposed by the authors in their previous work. These approaches include insight annotation, browsing, retrieval, organization, and association. This paper also reports a long-term case study that evaluated Manylnsights with a domain expert, realistic analytic tasks, and real datasets.

Indoor localization methods can help many sectors,such as healthcare centers,smart homes,museums,warehouses,and retail malls,improve their service *** a result,it is crucial to look for low-cost methods that can provide exact localization in indoor *** this context,imagebased localization methods can play an important role in estimating both the position and the orientation of cameras regarding an ***-based localization faces many issues,such as image scale and rotation ***,image-based localization’s accuracy and speed(latency)are two critical *** paper proposes an efficient 6-DoF deep-learning model for image-based *** model incorporates the channel attention module and the Scale PyramidModule(SPM).It not only enhances accuracy but also ensures the model’s real-time *** complex scenes,a channel attention module is employed to distinguish between the textures of the foregrounds and *** model adapted an SPM,a feature pyramid module for dealing with image scale and rotation variance ***,the proposed model employs two regressions(two fully connected layers),one for position and the other for orientation,which increases outcome *** on standard indoor and outdoor datasets show that the proposed model has a significantly lower Mean Squared Error(MSE)for both position and *** the indoor 7-Scenes dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.19 m and 6.25°for the ***,on the outdoor Cambridge landmarks dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.63 m and 2.03°for the *** to the findings,the proposed approach is superior and more successful than the baseline methods.
