Combustion chamber modeling and simulation of the liquid propellant engine with kerosene as fuel and liquid oxygen as an oxidizer in the turbulent flow field are performed by CFD *** flow is modeled as Single-phase in steady state and using RNG k-ε turbulence *** results are validated by experimental data of thrust,special impulse and combustion chamber *** comparing t.^wo reaction models of finite rate chemistry and frozen model with experimental data,it is concluded that finite rate chemistry has acceptable *** optimum value of equivalence ratio(oxidizer to fuel ratio)per reaction and operational parameters of the engine which maximize thrust and special impulse are determined.

As environmental concerns from fossil fuel consumption intensify, large-scale energy storage becomes imperative for the integration of renewable sources like wind, hydro, and solar with the electrical *** flow batteries, particularly those employing organic molecules, are positioned as a key technology for this purpose. This review explores the growing field of symmetric organic redox flow batteries(ORFBs) within this context. Unlike traditional asymmetric designs based on unique active materials for each electrode, symmetric ORFBs involve a single bipolar species for both electrodes. This review highlights the benefits of a symmetric design, and categorizes five distinct classes of organic bipolar molecules used in both aqueous and non-aqueous solvents. By providing a comprehensive overview of their cell cycling and performance characteristics, the strengths and weaknesses of the diverse categories of bipolar molecules are highlighted for both solvent systems, as are opportunities for future development. This should guide new research directions and advance the development of practical symmetric ORFBs.

BACKGROUND: The outcome of surgical treatment of pa- tients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is poor. This study was designed to analyze the relationship between clinicopathologic features and the survival time after opera- tion. METHODS: The operation was performed in 104 patients with mass-forming type ICC at our hospital between No- vember 1996 and May 2000. Seventy-nine patients (76.0%) were followed up successfully. Sixteen clinicopathological variables including age, sex, history of chronic liver di- sease , HBsAg, operation, adjuvant therapy, ascites, lymph node metastasis, invasion of adjacent organs, tumor size, necrosis of tumor, envelope, intrahepatic metastasis, Inter- national Union Against Cancer (UICC) TNM staging, his- tology, and cirrhosis were selected for univariate and multi- variate analyses to evaluate their influence on the prognosis. RESULTS: The accumulative 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rates of the 79 patients were 49.4%, 17.3%, 9.6% respectively. Univariate analysis revealed that sex (P=0.0221), HBsAg (P=0.0115), operation (P=0.0042), adjuvant therapy (P= 0.0389), ascites (P=0.0001), invasion (P=0.0220), intra- hepatic metastasis (P=0.0000) and TNM stage (P= 0.0001) were related to survival time. Multivariate analysis revealed that HBsAg, ascites and TNM stage were signifi- cantly related to prognosis. CONCLUSION: Early diagnosis and treatment and major hepatectomy are essential to improving the results of surgi- cal treatment of ICC patients.

In this paper, we have investigated the prospects of exploiting the rich world thorium reserves using Canada Deuterium Uranium （CANDU） reactors. The analysis is performed using the Monte Carlo MCNP code in order to understand how much time the reactor is in criticality conduction. Four different fuel compositions have been selected for analysis. We have obtained the infinite multiplication factor, k∞, under full power operation of the reactor over 8 years. The neutronic flux distribution in the full core reactor has already been investigated.

Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)are a main driver of immunosuppression in *** the mechanisms that determine the development and immunosuppressive function of these cells could provide new therapeutic targets to improve antitumor ***,using preclinical murine models,we discovered that exportin 1(XPO1)expression is upregulated in tumor MDSCs and that this upregulation is induced by IL-6-induced STAT3 activation during MDSC ***1 blockade transforms MDSCs into T-cell-activating neutrophil-like cells,enhancing the antitumor immune response and restraining tumor ***,XPO1 inhibition leads to the nuclear entrapment of ERK1/2,resulting in the prevention of ERK1/2 phosphorylation following the IL-6-mediated activation of the MAPK signaling ***,XPO1 blockade in human MDSCs induces the formation of neutrophil-like cells with immunostimulatory ***,our findings revealed a critical role for XPO1 in MDSC differentiation and suppressive functions;exploiting these new discoveries revealed new targets for reprogramming immunosuppressive MDSCs to improve cancer therapeutic responses.

We investigate the relativistic equation for particles with spin 1/2 in the q-parameter modified P5schl- Teller potential, including Coulomb-like tensor interaction with spatially-dependent mass for the D-dimension. We present approximate solutions of the Dirac equation with these potentials for any spin-orbit quantum number k under spin symmetry. The normalized wave functions are expressed in terms of the hyper-geometric series of the scattering states on the k/2π scale. We also give the formula for the phase shifts, and use the Nikiforov-Uvarov method to obtain the energy eigen-values equation.
