Thromboangiitis obliterans(TAO)is a rare,chronic,progressive,and segmental inflammatory disease characterized by a high rate of amputation,significantly compromising the quality of life of ***-Miao-Yong-An decoction(SMYA),a tradition-al prescription,exhibits anti-inflammatory,anti-thrombotic,and various other pharmacological ***,it was fully proved to be effective for TAO therapy,but the specific therapeutic effect of SMYA on TAO has been ***,deep unveiling the mechanism of SMYA in TAO for identifying clinical therapeutic targets is extremely *** this study,we observed elev-ated levels of IL-17A in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)of TAO patients,whereas the expression of miR-548j-5p was significantly decreased.A negative correlation between the levels of miR-548j-5p and IL-17A was also *** vitro ex-periments showed that overexpression of miR-548j-5p led to a decrease in IL-17A levels,whereas downregulation of miR-548j-5p showed the opposite *** a dual luciferase assay,we confirmed that miR-548j-5p directly targets ***,serum containing SMYA effectively decreased IL-17A levels by increasing the expression of *** importantly,the results of in vivo tests indicated that SMYA mitigated the development of TAO by inhibiting IL-17A through the upregulation of miR-548j-5p in vascular *** conclusion,SMYA significantly enhances the expression of miR-548j-5p,thereby reducing the levels of the target gene IL-17A and alleviating *** research not only identifies novel targets and pathways for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of TAO but also advances the innovation in traditional Chinese medicine through the elucidation of the SMYA/miR-548j-5p/IL-17A regulatory axis in the pathogenesis of TAO.

Accurate Shortwave Radiation Simulation with a Two-Layer Aerosol Model in Xinjiang Region

To harness the rich solar energy resources in Xinjiang Region of Northwest China,this study tries to address the issue of lack of downward surface shortwave radiation(DSSR)observations and the need to improve the accuracy of satellite retrieval and numerical simulation of DSSR under varied sky and meteorological conditions.(1)A two-layer aerosol model specific to Xinjiang was developed to capture the vertical distributions of aerosols based on multiple data sources including lidar,GPS sounding,ground meteorological observations,and profiles from the ECMWF reanalysis version 5(ERA5)*** results show that the ERA5/PBLH(planetary boundary layer height)and ERA5/ALH(aerosol layer height)could be used to establish the two-layer aerosol model and characterize the vertical distribution of aerosols in Xinjiang Region.(2)Using the Santa Barbara Discrete Atmospheric Radiative Transfer(SBDART)model,a localized inverse model of clear-sky DSSR was *** parameter adjustment and using the optimal combination of input parameters for DSSR simulation together with the two-layer aerosol model,the model-simulated DSSR(DSSRSBD)under clear-sky conditions improved significantly compared to the initial results,with all fitting indices greatly improved.(3)In addition,the study demonstrated that the impact of the two-layer aerosol model on DSSR was more pronounced under dust conditions than clear-sky conditions.(4)Using the localized clear-sky DSSR inversion model and its required parameters,simulations were also conducted to capture the spatiotemporal distribution of DSSR under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang from 2017 to *** annual average DSSR_(SBD)under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang during 2017–2019 was 606.78 W m^(-2),while DSSR from CERES(DSSR_(CER))under the same conditions was generally higher(703.95 W m^(-2)).(5)It is found that satellite remote sensing products experienced data loss in high-altitude snow areas,where numerical simulation technology could ser

OBJECTIVE: To establish a standardized framework encompassing the precise locations, manipulations,functions and indications of specific acupoints in the field of paediatric Tuina. METHODS: The development of consensus involved three distinct stages. Initially, a list of paediatric Tuina specific acupoints was compiled based on an extensive literature review, which was subsequently supplemented through expert interviews. In the second stage, the Delphi method was employed to assess the significance of acupoint locations, manipulations, functions, and indications. In situations where the questionnaire survey failed to yield agreement or when the experts held reservations, the nominal group approach was utilized during the expert consensus meeting. The final version of the technical standardized material was ultimately determined during an expert consensus conference. After undergoing external peer review and evaluation, the completed draft was prepared for public dissemination RESULTS: The comprehensive list identified a total of 66 specific acupoints. The location and manipulation questionnaire consisted of 156 items based on the literature database, while the function and indication questionnaire contained 116 items. Two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the location and manipulation category, and another two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted for the function and indication category. During the experts consensus meeting The panel of experts conducted in-depth discussions on 61 questions, resulting in the formulation of technical guidelines for the locations, manipulations, functions, and indications of 64 paediatric Tuina acupoints. Subsequently, the research team compiled and edited the draft of the technical guidelines for acupoints of paediatric Tuina, which was finalized after external review and feedback. Improvement of histone deacetylase inhibitor efficacy by SN38 through TWIST1 suppression in synovial sarcoma

Objective:Only a few numbers of studies have been published on the use of abobotulinumtoxinA(Dysport®)in idiopathic detrusor overactivity(IDO).This study reported the long-term follow-up of women with IDO who were treated with intravesical Dysport®***:Two hundred and thirty-six patients with IDO who had failed first-line conservative and antimuscarinic therapy received 500-900 units of Dysport®between April 2014 and July *** patients were followed up for 5 years after their initial injection and interviewed on the ***:A total of 236 women with IDO aged from 18 years to 84 years(mean±standard deviation:49.6±15.9 years)were included in our *** median follow-up time for patients was 36.5(range:10-70)months,and the median recovery time after injection was 18.5(range:0-70)months.A total of 83(35.2%)patients stated that they had subjective improvement of their symptoms whereas 84(35.6%)patients did not report any improvement in *** initial international Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Overactive Bladder mean score was 6.9(standard deviation 3.4).There was a positive association between the median recovery time and the components of the international Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Overactive Bladder ***:In a sub-population of overactive bladder patients with IDO who have failed first-line therapy,a single intravesical Dysport®injection can resolve patient symptoms completely or reduce the symptoms to an acceptable level that can be controlled with antimuscarinics or re-injection on demands.

The Novel Long QT Syndrome Type 2-associated F129I Mutation in the KCNH2 Gene Significantly Affects IKr Through the hERG1 Homomeric and Heteromeric Potassium Channels

Objective:To explore existing practices and challenges in the delivery of geriatric home medication review(HMR).The study was part of a larger study aimed to offer solution to expand the range of geriatric ***:This study employed qualitative exploratory design through semi-structured individual in-depth interviews with the public pharmacists involved in the delivery of geriatric HMR at public *** purpose of the interviews was to explore challenges faced by them in the delivery of geriatric ***:Based on the emerging themes from the qualitative data,the study reveals that geriatric HMR in Malaysia is integrated as part of multidisciplinary home care visits,encompassing a diverse patient population with various healthcare ***,it faces challenges such as the lack of outcome monitoring,formal training,and workforce *** these hurdles,there is a pressing need for the expansion of this service to better serve the community,and collaboration with community pharmacists holds potential to broaden its ***,the findings suggest that pharmacist-led HMR is both warranted and feasible within the Malaysian healthcare *** order to optimize medicine-use among older people living in the community,approaches for expanding geriatric HMR services in Malaysia must be ***:This study holds profound implications as it attempts to illuminate policy makers in developing countries,enabling them to formulate effective HMR *** considering the challenges highlighted within this research,policy makers can design a comprehensive HMR service that caters adeptly to the healthcare needs of the mass population.
