Immunotherapy represents a promising strategy for cancer treatment that utilizes immune cells or drugs to activate the patient's own immune system and eliminate cancer *** of the most exciting advances within this field is the targeting of neoantigens,which are peptides derived from non-synonymous somatic mutations that are found exclusively within cancer cells and absent in normal *** neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines have not received approval for standard cancer treatment,early clinical trials have yielded encouraging outcomes as standalone monotherapy or when combined with checkpoint *** made in high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics have greatly facilitated the precise and efficient identification of ***,personalized neoantigen-based vaccines tailored to each patient have been developed that are capable of eliciting a robust and long-lasting immune response which effectively eliminates tumors and prevents *** review provides a concise overview consolidating the latest clinical advances in neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines,and also discusses challenges and future perspectives for this innovative approach,particularly emphasizing the potential of neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines to enhance clinical efficacy against advanced solid tumors.

Application Effect of External Diaphragm Pacemaker Combined with Active Respiratory Circulation Technology in Pulmonary Rehabilitation of Perioperative Lung Cancer Patients

Aim: To explore the application effect of external diaphragm pacemaker combined with active respiratory circulation technology in pulmonary rehabilitation of perioperative lung cancer patients. Methods: A total of 98 lung cancer patients admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to November 2021 were selected as the observation objects, and then divided into a control group and an observation group using the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group received routine admission guidance and active respiratory circulation training, while the observation group was supplemented with external diaphragm pacemaker on the basis of the control group. The intervention effect was evaluated by blood gas indicators, pulmonary function indicators, diaphragm function indicators, sputum comfort degree, and activity tolerance indicators before and after intervention. Results: Before intervention, there were no significant differences in blood gas analysis indicators, pulmonary function indicators, diaphragm function indicators, sputum comfort degree, and activity tolerance indicators between the two groups (P > 0.05). After intervention, the improvement degree of the above indicators in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P surgery, and improve the activities of daily living and quality of life of patients.

Efficacy of robot-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in the treatment of pulmonary sequestration in children

Objective This study was performed to evaluate the efficacy of robot-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(RATS)in the treatment of pulmonary sequestration(PS)in *** All video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS)and RAST performed on patients with PS at a single center from May 2019 to July 2023 were *** x2 and Wilcoxon tests were used to compare the perioperative outcomes between VATS and RATS *** Ninety-three patients underwent RATS while 77 patients underwent *** both two groups,one patient converted to thoracotomy and no surgical mortality *** median operation time was longer for the RATS group compared with the VATS group(75 min vs.60 min,p<0.001).A lower ratio of chest tube indwelling(61.3%vs.90.9%,p<0.001),fewer drainage days(1.0 day vs.2.0 days,p<0.001),and a shorter postoperative length of stay(5.0 days vs.6.0 days,p<0.001)were found in the RATS group than that in the VATS *** significant difference was found in the incidence of short-term postoperative complications(hydrothorax and pneumothorax)between two *** RATS was safe and effective in children with PS over 6 months old and more than 7 ***,RATS led to better short-time postoperative outcome than ***-institutional studies are warranted to compare differences in long-term outcomes between RATS and VATS.

Clinical value of modified Shenling Baizhu powder(加味参苓白术散) in treating targeted therapy-induced diarrhea in non-small cell lung cancer

OBJECTIVE: To assess clinical value of modified Shenling Baizhu powder( 加味参苓白术散, SBP) in intervening targeted therapy-induced diarrhea. METHODS: This study was a prospective randomized controlled study. Eighty-five non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients with diarrhea who took targeted drugs were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group received modified SBP, while the control group received imodium. During 2 courses of treatment(1 week/course) and 2 weeks of follow-up, we observed remission and recurrence of diarrhea, as well as the improvement of Karnofsky score(KPS) in the two groups and drug safety. RESULTS: Eighty cases were completed, with 40 cases in the experimental group and 40 cases in the control group. The control group's diarrhea remission rate was significantly lower than the experimental group's(P 0.05). No unique adverse events occurred in experimental group or control group. CONCLUSION: The modified SBP could improve targeted therapy-induced diarrhea in NSCLC, and is superior to imodium in relieving diarrhea, improving related symptom scores and symptoms, with no obvious drug-related adverse events.

Long-term survival outcomes of video-assisted thoracic surgery for patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Background： Video-assisted thoracic surgery （VATS） has been shown to be a safe alternative to conventional thoracotomy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC）. However, popularization of this relatively novel technique has been slow, partly due to concerns about its long-term outcomes. The present study aimed to evaluate the long-term survival outcomes of patients with NSCLC after VATS, and to determine the significant prognostic factors on overall survival. Methods： Consecutive patients diagnosed with NSCLC referred to one institution for VATS were identified from a central database. Patients were treated by either complete-VATS or assisted-VATS, as described in previous studies. A number of baseline patient characteristics, clinicopathologic data and treatment-related factors were analyzed as potential prognostic factors on overall survival. Results： Between January 2000 and December 2007, 1,139 patients with NSCLC who underwent VATS and fulfilled a set of predetermined inclusion criteria were included for analysis. The median age of the entire group was 60 years, with 791 male patients （69%）. The median 5-year overall survival for Stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ disease according to the recently updated TNM classification system were 72.2%, 47.5%, 29.8% and 28.6%, respectively. Female gender, TNM stage, pT status, and type of resection were found to be significant prognostic factors on multivariate analysis. Conclusions： VATS offers a viable alternative to conventional open thoracotomy for selected patients with clinically resectableNSCLC

Regulation of TMEM100 expression by epigenetic modification,effects on proliferation and invasion of esophageal squamous carcinoma

Acellular dermal matrix(ADM)shows promise for cartilage regeneration and ***,an effective decellularization technique that removes cellular components while preserving the extracellular matrix,the transformation of 2D-ADM into a suitable 3D scaffold with porosity and the enhancement of bioactive and biomechanical properties in the 3D-ADM scaffold are yet to be fully *** this study,we present an innovative decellularization method involving 0.125%trypsin and 0.5%SDS and a 1%Triton X-100 solution for preparing ADM and converting 2D-ADM into 3D-ADM *** scaffolds exhibit favorable physicochemical properties,exceptional biocompatibility and significant potential for driving cartilage regeneration in vitro and in *** further enhance the cartilage regeneration potential of 3D-ADM *** incorporated porcine-derived small intestinal submucosa(SIS)for bioactivity and calcium sulfate hemihydrate(CSH)for biomechanical *** resulting 3D-ADM+SIS scaffolds displayed heightened biological activity,while the 3D-ADM+CSH scaffolds notably bolstered biomechanical *** scaffold types showed promise for cartilage regeneration and repair in vitro and in vivo,with considerable improvements observed in repairing cartilage defects within a rabbit articular cartilage *** summary,this research introduces a versatile 3D-ADM scaffold with customizable bioactive and biomechanical properties,poised to revolutionize the field of cartilageregeneration.
