Olfactory ensheathing glia promote axonal regeneration in the mammalian central nervous system,including retinal ganglion cell axonal growth through the injured optic ***,it is unknown whether olfactory ensheathing glia also have neuroprotective *** ensheathing glia express brain-derived neurotrophic factor,one of the best neuroprotectants for axotomized retinal ganglion ***,we aimed to investigate the neuroprotective capacity of olfactory ensheating glia after optic nerve *** ensheathing glia cells from an established rat immortalized clonal cell line,TEG3,were intravitreally injected in intact and axotomized retinas in syngeneic and allogeneic mode with or without microglial inhibition or immunosuppressive *** and gene expression analyses were *** bulb-derived primary olfactory ensheathing glia and TEG3 express major histocompatibility complex classⅡ*** and syngenically transplanted TEG3 cells survived in the vitreous for up to 21 days,forming an *** axotomized retinas,only the allogeneic TEG3 transplant rescued retinal ganglion cells at 7 days but not at 21 *** these retinas,microglial anatomical activation was higher than after optic nerve crush *** intact retinas,both transplants activated microglial cells and caused retinal ganglion cell death at 21 days,a loss that was higher after allotransplantation,triggered by pyroptosis and partially rescued by microglial inhibition or ***,neuroprotection of axotomized retinal ganglion cells did not improve with these *** different neuroprotective properties,different toxic effects,and different responses to microglial inhibitory treatments of olfactory ensheathing glia in the retina depending on the type of transplant highlight the importance of thorough preclinical studies to explore these variables.

Co,Ni,and Zn iso-reticular coordination polymers of 2,5-dihydroxyterphthalic acid(H_(2)dot)can be rapidly obtained under room temperature and aqueous conditions using either sodium or ammonium hydroxide as the bases to deprotonate the *** use of metal bromides and tetrabutylammonium hydroxide(TBAOH)as the base allows the green synthesis of ionic metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermo gravimetric analysis(TGA),H-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),elemental analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and employed in the pressure,solvent,and additive-free CO_(2)fixation to epoxides by its cycloaddition to epichlorohydrin,exhibiting a cooperative behavior between the MOF and the ionic liquid formed within the framework,achieving TONs of the confined tetrabutylammonium bromide(TBABr)up to 700.

AIM： TO investigate the severity of acute pancreatitis （AP） is associated to the intensity of leukocyte activation, inflammatory up-regulation and microcirculatory disruption associated to ischernia-reperfusion injury. Hicrovascular integrity and inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators are key-factors in the evolution of AP. Relaxin is an insulin-like hormone that has been attributed vasorelaxant properties via the nitric oxide pathway while behaving as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist. METHODS： AP was induced by the bilio-pancreatic duct-outlet-exclusion closed-duodenal-loops model. Treatment with relaxin was done at different timepoints. Nitric oxide synthase inhibition by L-NAME and glucocorticoid receptor （GR） blockage by mifepristone was considered. AP severity was assessed by biochemical and histopathological analyses. RESULTS： Treatment with relaxin reduced serum amylase, lipase, C-reactive protein, IL-6, IL-10, hsp72, LDH and 8-isoprostane as well as pancreatic and lung myeloperoxidase. Acinar and fat necrosis, hemorrhage and neutrophil infiltrate were also decreased. ATP depletion and ADP/ATP ratio were reduced while caspases 2-3-8 and 9 activities were increased. L-NAME and mifepristone decreased the efficiency of relaxin. CONclUSION： Relaxin resulted beneficial in the treatment of AP combining the properties of a GR agonist while preserving the microcirculation and favoring apoptosis over necrosis.

Multidrug-resistant(MDR)Escherichia coli,mainly extraintestinal pathogenic ***(ExPEC),has been widely reported in infections *** agricultural soils,manure is a hotspot for the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance genes(ARGs)and pathogenic bacteria;however,MDR bacteria have also been reported in soils with no history of manure *** addition,cross-resistance and co-resistance have been described as responsible for the metal-driven selection of bacteria resistant to ***,the aim of this study was to analyze three MDR *** isolates obtained from Brazilian grain culture soil samples with no history of manure use by whole-genome *** MDR *** isolates were recovered from soils from corn and coffee fields,and presented resistance toβ-lactams,quinolones,aminoglycosides,tetracyclines,sulphonamides,and dihydrofolate reductase *** analysis showed ARGs to several antimicrobials(i.e.,β-lactams,tetracyclines,aminoglycosides,sulphonamides,trimethoprim,phenicols,fosfomycin,and macrolides)as well as several metal resistance genes and antibacterial biocide resistance *** addition,known mutations in quinolone-resistance-determining regions of GyrA(Ser83Leu and Asp87Asn),ParE(Ser458Thr),and ParC(Ser80Ile)were also *** analysis showed the presence of virulence genes(lpfA,mcmA,gad,mchF,iroN,cma,and iss)associated with ***-resistant ExPEC isolates were assigned to phylogenetic group *** presence of MDR B1-ExPEC in soil samples shows the ability of these isolates to survive in *** study reports for the first time some sequence types(i.e.,ST345,ST448,and ST1146)of MDR *** in Brazilian ***,these findings contribute to the monitoring of antimicrobial resistance and surveillance studies based on whole-genome sequencing worldwide.

Objective:To investigate the potential antioxidant effects of Phyllanthus niruri(***)tea on healthy ***:Five non-smoking,male healthy volunteers,20 to 31 years *** *** subject was treated twice,following a randomized crossover fashion regarding the ingestion of *** infusion(5 g/750 mL)(tea group)or 750 mL of water(control group).Fasting venous blood samples were collected prior to and at 1.2 and 4 h after infusion *** were tested for plasmatic gallic acid and ascorbic acid levels,erythrocytic catalase and superoxide dismutase activities,and intracellular DCFH fluorescence in granulocytes,monocytes and ***:Catalase and superoxide dismutase activities were not altered by tea *** levels of gallic acid were significantly increased at1,2 and 4 h after *** ingestion and plasma ascorbic acid at 1 h after *** ***:Ingestion of *** tea is associated with a slight increase in antioxidant markers in human blood(ascorbic acid and gallic acid),which may contribute to its pharmacological effects.
