Characteristics and influencing factors of investment facilitation level in China's overseas free economic zones

High-level investment facilitation is crucial for China's overseas free economic zones(COFEZs)to attract and retain investment,mitigate business interruption risks,and foster a virtuous *** research on investment facilitation in COFEZs has mainly focused on summarizing and examining the investment facilitation measures adopted by typical national-level examples of COFEZs,relatively little attention has been paid to investigating the overall level and general problems of investment facilitation across *** study expands the scope of case investigations by taking 60 COFEZs as *** constructs a comprehensive evaluation indicator system which includes four dimensions:industrial infrastructure,social infrastructure,business support services,and seamless administrative *** employing content analysis and regression analysis,this study identifies the characteristics and influencing factors of investment facilitation level in *** results show that the overall level of investment facilitation in COFEZs is currently ***,COFEZs exhibit higher levels of investment facilitation in processing and manufacturing types and in Europe,while those in trade and logistics types and in Africa are relatively *** infrastructure and business support services contribute more significantly to the overall scores of investment facilitation in COFEZs compared to social infrastructure and seamless administrative *** investment facilitation level in COFEZs is essentially the result of a series of behaviors by developers and host governments,and it is affected by a combination of developers'perceptions of investment facilitation and the social environment in which developers and host governments promote investment *** study offers a new perspective on understanding COFEZs and contributes to the sustainable development of COFEZs.

Acute Transverse Myelitis in Pregnancy—A Case Report and a Literature Review

Purpose: This case report highlights a rare instance of a 26-week pregnant woman presenting with limb numbness, diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis (ATM) following COVID-19 vaccination. Notably, she tested positive for neuromyelitis optica (NMO) but did not exhibit the typical symptoms of blurred vision. Methods: Data were collected from I Seha in governmental hospitals in Bahrain, providing a comprehensive overview of the patient’s clinical journey. Results: The patient was treated with carbamazepine, steroids, and clexane, leading to the successful delivery of a healthy baby at 34 weeks. However, two years postpartum, she reported new episodes of blurred vision and numbness. Subsequent treatment with Rituximab resulted in significant improvement, with a diagnosis of Devic’s disease established. Conclusion: Acute transverse myelitis is a rare condition, particularly during pregnancy, and in this case, symptoms of Devic’s disease were masked by the absence of blurred vision. This condition predominantly affects females in their 20s during childbearing years and can lead to complications such as premature delivery. Effective management includes steroids and antiepileptic drugs, with clexane playing a crucial role in preventing embolisms. A delivery mode may vary based on obstetric factors, and MRI remains the gold standard for diagnosis. Close follow-up is essential for optimal patient outcomes.

3β,20α-羟基甾体脱氢酶(3β,20α-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase,3β,20α-HSD)是从胎羊血中分离得到的。分子量为35kD。该酶以NADPH为辅酶,有两种底物。以孕酮为底物时,Km=30.8μmol/L,Vmax=0.7nmol min^(-1)(nmol enzyme)^(-1);以5α-二氢睾酮(5α-Dihydrotestosterone,5α-DHT)为底物时,Km=74μmol/L,Vmax=1.3nmol min^(-1)(nmol enzyme)^(-1)。5α-DHT竞争性抑制20α-还原活性,Ki=102μmol/L。16α-溴代乙酰氧基(16α-Bromo acetoxyprogesterone,16α-BAP)是3β,20α-HSD不可逆竞争性抑制剂,t_(1/2)=75min。对3β和20α还原活性的抑制常数Ki分别为23μmol/L和58μmol/L。

To editor:Wernicke encephalopathy(WE)is an acute neurological disorder caused by a deficiency of vitamin B1(thiamine),with a prevalence of 1.3%in autopsy studies.1 Eighty-four percent of patients with WE will develop Korsakoff syndrome,which is characterized by amnesia and confusion.2 Although WE is more common in alcoholics,it can also be caused by vomiting,malnourishment,and other situations.

In the present work we are going to solve the boundary value problem for the quasilinear parabolic systems of partial differential equations with two space dimensions by the finite difference method with intrinsic parallelism. Some fundamental behaviors of general finite difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism for the mentioned problems are studied. By the method of a priori estimation of the discrete solutions of the nonlinear difference systems, and the interpolation formulas of the various norms of the discrete functions and the fixed-point technique in finite dimensional Euclidean space, the existence of the discrete vector solutions of the nonlinear difference system with intrinsic parallelism are proved. Moreover the convergence of the discrete vector solutions of these difference schemes to the unique generalized solution of the original quasilinear parabolic problem is proved.

Acupuncture points (acupoints) located along the meridian pathways are suggested as energy connections from the surface of the body to the internal organs and to the environment. Our recent studies have revealed that the nitric oxide (NO) content is increased in the skin acupoints/meridians in rats. Professionalism education of ob/GYN resident physicians: What makes a difference?

objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a new Professionalism curriculum in an obstetrics and Gynecology (ob/GYN) residency after introducing Narrative Medicine and Professional Development/Support Group (PDSG) programs. Methods: 32 ob/GYN residents participated in this IRB approved pilot study. Twenty residents were assessed with the Barry Challenges to Professionalism Questionnaire (Barry), the Jefferson Scale of Empathy-Physician Version (JSE), and the Jefferson Scale of Attitudes Toward Physician-Nurse Collaboration (JSAT) in August 2010, as controls. Five Narrative Medicine sessions and four PDSG sessions were then used from August 2010-May 2011, for resident physician professionalism education. Seventeen residents then underwent post-testing with the Barry, JSE, and JSAT in May 2011. Results: The pre-test/post-test Barry comparison showed an improvement in scores after introduction of the new Narrative Medicine and PDSG curriculum (7.6 +/- 2.1 versus 8.4 +/- 1.6;p = 0.10) though this was not statistically significant. Pre-test/post-test comparison of JSAT scores showed a statistically significant decline in collaboration (52.3 +/- 4.1 versus 49.7 +/- 3.7;p = 0.028) while JSE scores showed a downward trend in empathy (109.3 +/- 10.0 versus 104.8 +/- 9.2;p = 0.086). Conclusion: Narrative Medicine and PDSG small group sessions could be an effective component of ob/GYN resident physician Professionalism curriculum. This pilot project was underpowered, due to limited resources.

ELECTRONIC MONITORING OF FETAL HEART RATE AND DETERMINATION OF FETAL SCALP BLOOD pH IN PREDICTION OF INTRAPARTUM FETAL DISTRESS

A prospective study on consecutive fetal monitoring in 559 deliveries was carried out. The difference between the first 30-minute and the last 30-minute monitoring was compared. Abnormal fetal heart rate (FHR) pattern in the last 30 minutes combined with abnormal fetal scalp blood pH has a good predictability of 1- and 5-minute Apgar scores. The correlation of fetal heart rate-uterine contraction (FHR-UC) monitoring (525 cases) and fetal scalp blood pH determinations (FSB-pH) (79 cases) with the fetal condition was assessed. It is indicated that the first 30-minute FHR tracing can reflect the fetal status in labor, and FHR-UC monitoring assessment is evidently superior to FSB-pH in the prediction of a vigorous fetus. Whereas, FSB-pH is superior to FHR-UC monitoring in the prediction of a compromised fetus.

Background & objectie:Sulfation of steroid hormones renders them receptor-inactive. Sulfotransferases (SULTs) catalyze the reaction with 3’-phosphoadenosine-5’-phosphosulfate(PAPS) as the sulfuryl moiety donor. Tibolone is a unique steroid that improves cliimacteric symptoms and prevents postmenopausal osteoporosis. It is the first in the STEAR class of compounds (Selective Tissue Estrogenic Activity Regulator). The active metabolites 3α-hydroxytibolone (3α-OHT)and 3β-hydroxytibolone (3β-OHT) undergo sulfation.
