Three dimensional structure of baroclinic wavy jet was experimentally studied in rotating annulus subject to a negative radial temperature gradient. General features of wavy surface jet in the system were obtained. Based on the precise measurements of velocity distribution of the jet with LDV and the three dimensional temperature field in the convective system, three dimensional thermodynamic structures of jet were gained, and by using a correlation of three dimensional disturbed temperature, the unstable mechanism of disturbed temperature of baroclinic fluid in a rotating system was further discussed.

Nano particles have been found to be effective in enhancing many properties of regular concretes. However, there is little information on the effect of nano particles on shotcrete. In fact, if similar positive effect of nano particles can also appear in shotcrete, they will greatly benefit the wide application of shotcrete in more and more repair and strengthening of structures in civil engineering, especially in corrosive environments. In this study, through experiments on 70 specimens, the effects of nano SiO2, CaCO3 and Al2O3 particles on the early-age porosity, pore size distribution, compressive strength and chloride permeability of shotcrete were *** results indicated that nano SiO2 particles significantly increased the compressive strength and chloride penetration resistance; nano Al2O3 and CaCO3 particles had slight enhancing effect on the compressive strength; nano CaCO3 particles were most effective in promoting the chloride penetration resistance of shotcrete. As a conclusion, nano SiO2 particles were recommended when both early age compressive strength and chloride penetration resistance were crucial, and nano CaCO3 particles were recommended when only chloride penetration resistance was concerned for their high cost-effectiveness.

To improve the tensile bond strength of denim bonding agents, the adhesion between denim and MMA resin was investigated by applying initiator systems containing 1-cyclohexyl-5-ethyl barbituric acid (CEB), copper acetyl acetonate (CAA), quaternary ammonium chloride (QAC). cupric ion, with the addition of TEGDMA, an.d pretreatment solution for denim, and an HEMA primer. The effects of a cross-linking agent on barbituric acid-initiated denim bonding resin were examined by measuring degree of conversion, molecular weight, hardness of bonding resin, and tensile bond strengths.

The analysis of fabrics of different woven constructions made of the same count of yarn indicates different wrinkle recovery and other mechanical properties before and after wrinkle resistant treatment. For the plain weave fabrics, parameters of the warp threads and weft threads can influence the effect of wrinkle resistance finishing. When the parameters of warp threads are similar as that of the weft threads, the even - structure can be obtained . Therefore, the best wrinkle recovery angle can be obtained. With the increasing of warp threads and weft threads, the strength of non - finished and finished fabrics can be increased. When the warp threads are similar as the weft threads, high strength retain can also be obtained.

Rotationally symmetric triangulation(RST)sensor has more flexibility and less uncertainty limits because of the abaxial rotationally symmetric optical *** if the incident laser is eccentric,the symmetry of the image will descend,and it will result in the eccentric error especially when some part of the imaged ring is *** model of rotationally symmetric triangulation that meets the Schimpflug condition is presented in this *** error from eccentric incident laser is *** is pointed out that the eccentric error is composed of two parts,one is a cosine in circumference and proportional to the eccentric dep.rture factor,and the other is a much smaller quadric factor of the *** the ring is complete,the first error factor is zero because it is integrated in whole ring, but if some part of the ring is blocked,the first factor will be the main *** verifies the result of the a- *** last,a compensation method to the error when some part of the ring is lost is presented based on neural *** results of experiment show that the compensation will make the absolute maximum error descend to half,and the standard deviation of error descends to 1/3.

The community structure and seasonal dynamics of plankton in Bange Lake, northern Tibet, China

The seasonal variations in biomass, abundance, and species composition of plankton in relation to hydrography were studied in the saline Bange Lake, northern Tibet, China. Sampling was carried out between one to three times per month from May 2001 to July 2002. Salinity ranged from 14 to 146. The air and water temperature exhibited a clear seasonal pattern, and mean annual temperatures were approximately 4.8℃ and 7.3℃, respectively. The lowest water temperature occurred in winter from December to March at-2℃ and the highest in June and July at 17.7℃. Forty-one phytoplankton taxa, 21 zooplankton, and 5 benthic or facultative zooplankton were identifi ed. The predominant phytoplankton species were Gloeothece linearis, Oscillatoria tenuis, Gloeocapsa punctata, Ctenocladus circinnatus, Dunaliella salina, and Spirulina major. The predominant zooplankton species included H olophrya actra, Brachionus plicatilis, Daphniopsis tibetana, Cletocamptus dertersi, and A rctodiaptomus salinus. The mean annual total phytoplankton density and biomass for the entire lake were 4.52×10^7 cells/L and 1.60 mg/L, respectively. The annual mean zooplankton abundance was 52, 162, 322, and 57, 144 ind./L, in the three sublakes. The annual mean total zooplankton biomass in Lakes 1–3 was 1.23, 9.98, and 2.13 mg/L, respectively. The annual mean tychoplankton abundances in Bg1, 2, and 3 were 47, 67, and 654 ind./L. The annual mean tychoplankton biomass was 2.36, 0.16, and 2.03 mg/L, respectively. The zooplankton biomass（including tychoplankton） in the lake was 9.11 mg/L. The total number of plankton species in the salt lake was signifi cantly negatively correlated with salinity.

A decentralized model reference adaptive control (MRAC) scheme is proposed and applied to design a multivariable control system of a dual-spool turbofan *** studies show good static and dynamic performance of the system over the fullflight envelope. Simulation results also show the good effectiveness of reducing interactionin the multivariable system with significant coupling. The control system developed has awide frequency band to satisfy the strict engineering requirement and is practical for engineering applications.

A new quaternary mixed anion complex of gadolinium(Ⅲ), [Gd(CH 3CH 2COO) 2(N O 3)(phen)] 2, was synthesized and structurally characterized. The ESR spectr um of the complex with effective g values of 5.314, 2 473 and 1.880 in poly crys talline powder at room temperature is quite different from the U spectrum. The c oordination number of Gd 3+ is nine with a monocapped square antiprism geom etry. And the stacking effect was observed in the complex. The crystal of the co mplex belongs to triclinic with space group P 1, a=0.9626(4) n m, b=0.9732(4) nm, c=1.1758(5) nm, α=102.45(1)°, β=108.16(1) °, γ=96.68(2)°, V=1.0018(7) nm3, Z=2, D c=1.80 g·cm -3 , μ(MoKα)=33.63 mm -1, F(000)=530, GOF=1.80, R=0.023 and R w=0.027.
